1Virtual-reality-based digital twin of office spaces with social distance measurement feature显示文摘Background Social distancing is an effective way to reduce the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.Many students and researchers have already attempted to use computer vision technology to automatically detect human beings in the field of view of a camera and help enforce social distancing.However,because of the present lockdown measures in several countries,the validation of computer vision systems using large-scale datasets is a challenge.Methods In this paper,a new method is proposed for generating customized datasets and validating deep-learning-based computer vision models using virtual reality(VR)technology.Using VR,we modeled a digital twin(DT)of an existing office space and used it to create a dataset of individuals in different postures,dresses,and locations.To test the proposed solution,we implemented a convolutional neural network(CNN)model for detecting people in a limited-sized dataset of real humans and a simulated dataset of humanoid figures.Results We detected the number of persons in both the real and synthetic datasets with more than 90%accuracy,and the actual and measured distances were significantly correlated(r=0.99).Finally,we used intermittent-layer-and heatmap-based data visualization techniques to explain the failure modes of a CNN.Conclusions A new application of DTs is proposed to enhance workplace safety by measuring the social distance between individuals.The use of our proposed pipeline along with a DT of the shared space for visualizing both environmental and human behavior aspects preserves the privacy of individuals and improves the latency of such monitoring systems because only the extracted information is streamed.Abhishek MUKHOPADHYAY G S Rajshekar REDDY KamalPreet Singh SALUJA Subhankar GHOSH Anasol PEÑA-RIOS Gokul GOPAL Pradipta BISWAS 2022Virtual Reality & Intelligent Hardware2022,4,1:1

4Differential methylation landscape of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and its precancerous lesions显示文摘Background:Pancreatic cancer is one of the most lethal diseases with an incidence almost equal to the mortality.In addition to having genetic causes,cancer can also be considered an epigenetic disease.DNA methylation is the premier epigenetic modification and patterns of aberrant DNA methylation are recognized to be a common hallmark of human tumor.In the multistage carcinogenesis of pancreas starting from precancerous lesions to pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC),the epigenetic changes play a significant role.Data sources:Relevant studies for this review were derived via an extensive literature search in Pub Med via using various keywords such as pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma,precancerous lesions,methylation profile,epigenetic biomarkers that are relevant directly or closely associated with the concerned area of our interest.The literature search was intensively done considering a time frame of 20 years(1998–2018).Result:In this review we have highlighted the hypermethylation and hypomethylation of the precancerous PDAC lesions(pancreatic intra-epithelial neoplasia,intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm,mucinous cystic neoplasm and chronic pancreatitis)and PDAC along with the potential biomarkers.We have also achieved the early epigenetic driver that leads to progression from precancerous lesions to PDAC.A bunch of epigenetic driver genes leads to progression of precancerous lesions to PDAC(pp ENK,APC,p14/5/16/17,h MLH1 and MGMT)are also documented.We summarized the importance of these observations in therapeutics and diagnosis of PDAC hence identifying the potential use of epigenetic biomarkers in epigenetic targeted therapy.Epigenetic inactivation occurs by hypermethylation of Cp G islands in the promoter regions of tumor suppressor genes.We listed all hyper-and hypomethylation of Cp G islands of several genes in PDAC including its precancerous lesions.Conclusions:The concept of the review would help to understand their biological effects,and to determine whether they may be successfully combined with other epigenetic drugs.However,we need to continue our research to develop more specific DNA-demethylating agents,which are the targets for hypermethylated Cp G methylation sites.Akash Bararia Subhankar Dey Sumit Gulati Supriyo Ghatak Shibajyoti Ghosh Sudeep Banerjee Nilabja Sikdar 2020Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International2020,19,3:0
5Graphology based handwritten character analysis for human behaviour identification显示文摘Graphology-based handwriting analysis to identify human behavior,irrespective of applications,is interesting.Unlike existing methods that use characters,words and sentences for behavioural analysis with human intervention,we propose an automatic method by analysing a few handwritten English lowercase characters from a to z to identify person behaviours.The proposed method extracts structural features,such as loops,slants,cursive,straight lines,stroke thickness,contour shapes,aspect ratio and other geometrical properties,from different zones of isolated character images to derive the hypothesis based on a dictionary of Graphological rules.The derived hypothesis has the ability to categorise the personal,positive,and negative social aspects of an individual.To evaluate the proposed method,an automatic system is developed which accepts characters from a to z written by different individuals across different genders and age groups.This automatic privacy projected system is available on the website(http://gffzza59f2e0d25434e2ah66f9qxnxfpcw6vxx.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn).For quantitative evaluation of the proposed method,several people are requested to use the system to check their characteristics with the system automatic response based on his/her handwriting by choosing to agree or disagree options.The automatic system receives 5300 responses from the users,for which,the proposed method achieves 86.70%accuracy.Subhankar Ghosh Palaiahnakote Shivakumara Prasun Roy Umapada Pal Tong Lu 2020CAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology2020,5,1:0
