3Upconversion luminescence and optical thermometry behaviors of Yb^(3+)and Ho^(3+)co‑doped GYTO crystal显示文摘Optical thermometry based on the upconversion(UC)luminescence intensity ratio(LIR)has attracted considerable attention because of its feasibility for achievement of accurate non-contact temperature measurement.Compared with traditional UC phosphors,optical thermometry based on UC single crystals can achieve faster response and higher sensitivity due to the stability and high thermal conductivity of the single crystals.In this study,a high-quality 5 at%Yb^(3+)and 1 at%Ho^(3+)co-doped Gd_(0.74)Y_(0.2)TaO_(4)single crystal was grown by the Czochralski(Cz)method,and the structure of the as-grown crystal was characterized.Importantly,the UC luminescent properties and optical thermometry behaviors of this crystal were revealed.Under 980 nm wavelength excitation,green and red UC luminescence lines at 550 and 650 nm and corresponding to the^(5)F_(4)/^(5)S_(2)→^(5)I_(8)and^(5)F_(5)→^(5)I_(8)transitions of Ho^(3+),respectively,were observed.The green and red UC emissions involved a two-photon mechanism,as evidenced by the analysis of power-dependent UC emission spectra.The temperature-dependent UC emission spectra were measured in the temperature range of 330–660 K to assess the optical temperature sensing behavior.At 660 K,the maximum relative sensing sensitivity(S_(r))was determined to be 0.0037 K^(−1).These results highlight the signifcant potential of Yb,Ho:GYTO single crystal for optical temperature sensors.Chuancheng Zhang Shoujun Ding Miaomiao Wang Hao Ren Xubing Tang Yong Zou Renqin Dou Wenpeng Liu 2023Frontiers of Optoelectronics2023,16,3:0
4Anomalous-plasmoid-ejection-induced secondary magnetic reconnection: modeling solar flares and coronal mass ejections by laser–plasma experiments显示文摘The driving mechanism of solar flares and coronal mass ejections is a topic of ongoing debate, apart from the consensus that magnetic reconnection plays a key role during the impulsive process. While present solar research mostly depends on observations and theoretical models, laboratory experiments based on high-energy density facilities provide the third method for quantitatively comparing astrophysical observations and models with data achieved in experimental settings.In this article, we show laboratory modeling of solar flares and coronal mass ejections by constructing the magnetic reconnection system with two mutually approaching laser-produced plasmas circumfused of self-generated megagauss magnetic fields. 7Confined-domain crosslink-enhanced emission effect in carbonized polymer dots显示文摘Revealing the photoluminescence(PL)origin and mechanism is a most vital but challenging topic of carbon dots.Herein,confined-domain crosslink-enhanced emission(CEE)effect was first studied by a well-designed model system of carbonized polymer dots(CPDs),serving as an important supplement to CEE in the aspect of spatial interactions.The“addition-condensation polymerization”strategy was adopted to construct CPDs with substituents exerting different degrees of steric hindrance.The effect of confined-domain CEE on the structure and luminescence properties of CPDs have been systematically investigated by combining characterizations and theoretical calculations.Such tunable spatial interactions dominated the coupling strength of the luminophores in one particle,and eventually resulted in the modulated PL properties of CPDs.These findings provide insights into the structural advantages and the PL mechanism of CPDs,which are of general significance to the further development of CPDs with tailored properties.Songyuan Tao Changjiang Zhou Chunyuan Kang Shoujun Zhu Tanglue Feng Shi-Tong Zhang Zeyang Ding Chengyu Zheng Chunlei Xia Bai Yang 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,3:0
