1INTERFACIAL ADHESION AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF PMMA-COATED CaCO_(3)NANOPARTICLE REINFORCED PVC COMPOSITES显示文摘Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA)-coated nano-CaCO3 particles were prepared by in-situ emulsion po- lymerization. The mechanical properties of nano-CaCO3 particles-reinforced PVC were investigated using an AG-2000A universal testing machine and an XJU-2.75 izod impact tester; interfacial adhesion between CaCO3 nanoparticles and PVC matrix by SEM, and structure of PMMA coated on the surface of CaCO3 by FTIR and H-NMR. The results indicate 1 that the PMMA coated on the nano CaCO3 particles consists mainly of syndiotactic structure, and their three tacticity contents were rr 52.8%, mm 7.3% and mr 39.9%, respectively. The interfacial adhesion between CaCO3 nanoparticles and PVC matrix was significantly improved when the CaCO3 nanoparticles were coated with PMMA, which led to in- creased Young’s moduli and tensile strengths of the PMMA-coated CaCO3/PVC composites. The izod impact strengths of the composites were strongly affected by the PMMA coating thickness and increased significantly with increasing the volume fraction of CaCO3 filler in the composites.Xuehua Chen Chunzhong Li Shoufang Xu Ling Zhang Wei Shao H. 2Effects of external stimuli on the pacemaker function of the sinoatrial node in sodium channel gene mutations models显示文摘Loss of function and gain of function mutations of the sodium channel were investigated using an intact two-dimensional rabbit sinoatrial node (SAN) and atrial cell model. The effects of three external stimuli (acetylcholine secretion by the vagal nerve, acid-base concentration, and tissue temperature) on cardiac pacemaker function and conduction were studied. Our results show that these two groups of mutations have different effects on pacemaker function and conduction. Furthermore, we found that the negative effects of these mutations could be altered by external stimuli. The bradycardic effects of mutations were magnified by an increase in acetylcholine level. Changes in acid-base concentration and tissue temperature increased the ability of the SAN to recover its pacemaker function. 3Clinicopathologic Observation of 6 Cases with Neuroendocrine Carcinoma of the Urinary Bladder显示文摘OBJECTIVE To discuss the pathologic characteristics and theprognosis of neuroendocrine carcinoma of the bladder(NECB)in order to assist in making a precise diagnosis and to effectivelytreat the disease.METHODS Clinicopathologic features of the 6 cases with NECBwere analyzed retrospectively.The personal data of the patientsand the pathologic and immunohistochemical characteristics ofthe tumor were investigated.The follow-up of these patients wasconducted over a time period ranging from 3 months to 9 years.RESULTS Transurethral resection of the bladder tumorwas performed in all 6 patients.Based on the results of thepathologic examination,4 of the cases were diagnosed as smallcell neuroendocrine carcinoma and the other 2 were diagnosedas atypical carcinoid tumor.On immunohistochemical stainingall tumors expressed neuroendocrine markers includingneuronspecific enolase(CD56),synaptophysin(Syn)andchromogranin(CgA).In patients receiving partial cystectomyfollowed by postoperative chemotherapy,relapse was found in 4of the 6 cases on follow up.CONCLUSION NECB is a rare entity and a tumor with highmalignant potential and characteristic pathologic features.Hematuria is the cardinal symptom of NECB.Metastasis mayoccur at an early stage and the prognosis of the disease is poor.Final diagnosis of NECB depends on histopathologic examinationand immunohistochemical assays.Surgical excision combinedwith radiotherapy and chemotherapy is considered an effectivetreatment.Shufang Shi Shuyuan Chen Xiaoge Zhou Shoufang Huang 2009Clinical oncology and cancer resexreh2009,6,4:2

14C,N,and P Ecological Stoichiometric Characteristics of Two Dominant Mosses in Baotianman Nature Reserve显示文摘In order to investigate ecological adaptation mechanism of bryophyte,two dominant mosses Thuidium cymbifolium and Mnium immarginatum in Baotianman Nature Reserve were measured the content of C,N,P and their ratio in bryophyte and soil,and analyzed the relationships of plant and soil ecological stoichiometric characteristics along altitudinal gradients.Results indicate that the content of C,N and P in green tissues of T.cymbifolium and M.immarginatum in Baotianman Nature Reserve was 46.81%-49.09%,0.21%-0.25%,and0.02%-0.08%.Among the different altitudinal gradients,C,N and P displayed significant differences: the significantly different content of C and N were showed in T.cymbifolium,and the content of N and P differed significantly in M.immarginatum.However,only N declined obviously as increasing altitude.In soil,the C,N,N/P and C/P showed an increasing trend with increasing elevation,while the P and C/N along altitudinal gradients exhibited no unified trend.With the increasing in the content C,N of soil,the content C and N of T.cymbifolium raised,while the content C and N of M.immarginatum declined.With the rise in P element of soil,N/P showed different trends between two bryophyte species,the N/P in T.cymbifolium significantly decreased,while N/P in M.immarginatum significantly increased.In addition,mean value of leaf N/P was 8.51,ranking 14-16.These results suggested that the growth of the bryophyte plants in Baotianman Nature Reserve were restricted by N element,and different utilization strategies in soil P element in different bryophyte plants led to differences in ecological stoichiometric characteristics.Mingfei JI Shoufang WU Xiaowei ZHANG 2017Asian Agricultural Research2017,9,8:1
