1Impact of 5-Fu/oxaliplatin on mouse dendritic cells and synergetic effect with a colon cancer vaccine显示文摘Objective: The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of 5-fluorouracil(5-Fu) and oxaliplatin on the function and activation pathways of mouse dendritic cells(DCs), and to clarify whether 5-Fu/oxaliplatin combined with the CD1d-MC38/α-galactosylceramide(α-GC) tumor vaccine exhibits synergistic effects on the treatment of colon cancer in mice.Methods: The combination of the Toll like receptor(TLR) ligands and/or 5-Fu/oxaliplatin was added into myeloid-derived DCs in vitro culture. DC phenotypic changes were detected by flow cytometry, and the secretion of DC cytokines was detected by cytometric bead array(CBA). A MC38 mouse colon cancer model was constructed and the DCs were isolated from the spleen, tumor tissue and lymph nodes following intraperitoneal injection of 5-Fu/oxaliplatin. The cell phenotypes were detected by flow cytometry. The tumor infiltrating leukocytes,splenocytes and lymph node cells were co-cultured with the dead MC38 tumor cells, and the secretion levels of interferon-γ(IFN-γ) were detected. 5-Fu/oxaliplatin combined with our previously developed CD1d-MC38/α-GC tumor vaccine was used to inhibit the growth of MC38 colon cancer in mice, and the tumor growth rate and survival time were recorded.Results: 5-Fu/oxaliplatin exerted no significant effect on the expression of the stimulating phenotypes of DCs in vitro, while it could reduce the expression of programmed death ligand 1/2(PD-L1/L2) and promote interleukin-12(IL-12) secretion by DCs. Furthermore 5-Fu/oxaliplatin was beneficial to the differentiation of T-helper 1(Th1) cells. 5-Fu/oxaliplatin further enhanced the stimulating phenotypic expression of DCs in tumor bearing mice, decreased PD-L1/L2 expression, and specifically activated the lymphocytes. The CD1d-MC38/α-GC tumor vaccine combined with 5-Fu/oxaliplatin could exert a synergistic role that resulted in a significant delay of the tumor growth rate, and an increase in the survival time of tumor bearing mice.Conclusions: 5-Fu/oxaliplatin decreased the expression of the DC inhibitory phenotypes PD-L1/L2, promoted DC phenotypic maturation in tumor bearing mice, activated the lymphocytes of tumor bearing mice, and exerted synergistic effects with the CD1d-MC38/α-GC colon cancer tumor vaccine.Xinqiang Hong Tiangeng Dong Tuo Yi Jianwei Hu Zhen Zhang Shengli Lin Weixin Niu 2018Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2018,30,2:4

5Effects of moisture content or particle size on the in situ degradability of maize silage and alfalfa haylage in lactating dairy cows显示文摘A study using four Holstein cows with ruminal cannulas was conducted to evaluate the degradability of different moisture content or particle size of maize silage and alfalfa haylage. The maize silage(MS; 20-mm length) and alfalfa haylage(AH; 40-mm length) samples were wet(wet maize silage, MSW;wet alfalfa haylage, AHW), dried(dried maize silage, MSD; dried alfalfa haylage, AHD), or ground to pass through a 2.5-mm screen(dried ground maize silage, MSG; dried ground alfalfa haylage, AHG). Samples were incubated in the rumen for 2, 6.12, 24.36.48, and 72 h. Cows were fed ad libitum and allowed free access to water. High moisture content treatment of MSW expressed a lower rinsing NDF and ADF degradability at 2 h(P < 0.05) compared with dried samples(MSD and MSG). Different moisture content and particle size had a significant impact(P < 0.05) on the NDF degradability at 72 h, ADF degradability at36.48, and 72 h, and ruminally degradable ADF. All of the highest values were observed in small particle size and low moisture content AHG treatment. 12Precise regulation of acid pretreatment for red mud SCR catalyst:Targeting on optimizing the acidity and reducibility显示文摘Red mud(RM),as an alkaline waste,was recently proved to be a promising substitute for the SCR catalyst.Dealkalization could improve the acidity and reducibility of red mud,which were critical for SCR reaction.However,the dealkalization effect depended on the reaction between acid solution and red mud.In this study,we realized the directional control of the chemical state of active sites through tuning the acid pretreatment(dealkalization)process.The pretreatment endpoint was controlled at pH values of 3–5 with diluted nitric acid.When the pH values of red mud were 3 and 5(CRM-3 and CRM-5),activated catalysts showed NOx conversion above 90%at 275℃–475℃.The high initial reaction rate,Ce^(3+)/(Ce^(3+)+Ce^(4+))ratio,and surface acidity accounted for the excellent SCR performance of CRM-5 catalyst.Meanwhile,more Fe^(3+) on the CRM-3 surface improved the NH_(3) adsorption.There was a strong interaction between Al and Fe in both CRM-5 and CRM-3 catalysts.DFT results showed that the adsorption capacity of the Al-O_(3)-Fe for NH_(3) and NO is stronger than that of Fe-O_(3)-Fe,which enhanced the NOx conversion of the catalyst.However,the almandine was formed in CRM-4,consumed part of Fe^(3+) and Al^(3+),and the interaction between Al and Fe was weakened.Also,deposited almandine on the catalyst surface covered the active sites,thus leading to lower NH_(3)-SCR activity.Xiang Zhang Yue Xuan Bin Wang Chuan Gao Shengli Niu Gaiju Zhao Dong Wang Junhua Li Chunmei Lu John C.Crittenden 2022Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2022,16,7:1

16Fabrication of Macro-porous β-zeolite by Using Colloidal Polystyrene Spheres as a Template显示文摘A β-zeolite/polystyrene composite material was synthesized by co-deposition of mono-disperse polystyrene spheres and nano β-zeolite particles in aqueous suspension on a vertical substrate. Macro-porous β-zeolite was obtained after the polystyrene template was removed by calcination. The micro/macro-pore structure of the prepared β-zeolite was highly ordered.
