| 1 | Neutrophil extracellular traps mediate the crosstalk between glioma progression and the tumor microenvironment via the HMGB1/RAGE/IL-8 axis显示文摘Objective:Neutrophil extracellular traps(NETs)produced by tumor-infiltrating neutrophils(TINs)are associated with poor prognosis in patients with several types of cancer.However,the mechanisms underlying the involvement of NETs in glioma progression remain largely unknown.This study aimed to elucidate the roles of NETs in biological processes that drive the crosstalk between glioma progression and the tumor microenvironment.Methods:Neutrophil infiltration and NETs formation were investigated in glioma tissue through immunohistochemistry,and their relationships with clinicopathological features and outcomes were statistically evaluated.The effects of NETs on glioma cell progression were studied in a co-culture system.In vivo and in vitro experiments validated the reactive oxygen species activity and cytokine production of TINs,as well as the ERK signaling pathway activation and the metastasis of gliomas.Results:Neutrophil infiltration and NETs formation were induced in high-grade glioma compared with low-grade glioma.NETs induced by TINs were determined to be an oncogenic marker of high-grade gliomas and to be involved in cell proliferation and invasion.NETs overproduction promoted glioma cell proliferation,migration,and invasion.Furthermore,HMGB1 was found to bind to RAGE and activate the NF-κB signaling pathway in vitro.In addition,NETs stimulated the NF-κB signaling pathway,thus promoting IL-8 secretion in glioblastoma.Subsequently,IL-8 recruited neutrophils which in turn mediated NETs formation via the PI3 K/AKT/ROS axis in TINs.Conclusions:Our results suggest that NETs produced by TINs mediate the crosstalk between glioma progression and the tumor microenvironment by regulating the HMGB1/RAGE/IL-8 axis.Targeting NETs formation or IL-8 secretion may be an effective approach to inhibit glioma progression. | Caijun Zha Xiangqi Meng Lulu Li Shan Mi Da Qian Ziwei Li Pengfei Wu Shaoshan Hu Shihong Zhao Jinquan Cai Yanhong Liu | 2020 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2020,17,1: | 19 |
| 2 | Contrastive Study on Content and Anti-oxidation Activity of Total Saponins from Cultivated and Wild Paris Plants in Southwest China显示文摘[Objectives]To study content of total saponins from cultivated and wild Paris herbs in Southwest China,evaluate its in vitro antioxidation activity,and explore the correlation between quality of Paris herbs and production place,variety,cultivated and wild varieties.[Methods]Colorimetric method of perchloric acid reaction was used,and content of total saponins from Paris herbs was determined by ultraviolet spectrophotometer at 406 nm. [Results]The lowest content of total saponins from cultivated and wild Paris herbs in Southwest China was0. 55%,while the maximum was 12. 24%,with obvious difference. Total saponins from Paris herbs had stronger clearance ability on free radical DPPH and stronger reduction ability on Fe^(3+),and the results showed good dose-effect relationship with concentration. Among them,S6 had the highest clearance ability on DPPH,which reached 89. 66%. In the determination of reduction ability,the absorbance of S16 reached3. 643 and was the highest,with very good reducing property. Content and anti-oxidation capacity of total saponins from Paris herbs in Southwest China did not have obvious correlation with production place,altitude and cultivation but was related to variety. [Conclusions]The quality of Paris herbs in Southwest China was unstable,and their anti-oxidation abilities were also different,and cultivation could not guarantee high quality. | 3 | Changes in the soil microbial communities of different soil aggregations after vegetation restoration in a semiarid grassland,China显示文摘Soil aggregate fractions can regulate microbial community composition and structure after vegetation restoration.However,there has been less focus on the effects of soil aggregate fractions on the distributions of microbial communities.Here,we used phospholipid fatty acid(PLFA)analysis to explore the effects of different years of vegetation restoration(a 35-year-old Thymus mongolicus community(Re-35yrs)and a 2-year-old nongrazing grassland(Ug-2yrs))on microbial communities within different soil aggregate sizes(<0.25 mm,0.25–1 mm,1–2 mm,2–3 mm,3–5 mm and>5 mm).The results indicated that the amount of total PLFA in Re-35yrs was 10 times greater than that in Ug-2yrs.The soil aggregate stability increased with increasing duration of vegetation restoration.In Re-35yrs,the total PLFA shown an increase as the soil aggregate size increased,and the highest values were observed in 3–5 mm.Ug-2yrs differed from Re-35yrs,the soil microbial diversity was higher in medium particle sizes(1–2 mm and 2–3 mm)and lower in microaggregates(<0.25 mm and 0.25–1 mm)and macroaggregates(3–5 mm and>5 mm).Soil microbial diversity was highest in large particle size aggregates,which resulted in low environmental stress and strong stability.The same tendency was observed in the high values of cyc/prec,S/M and soil organic matter,which indicated a lower turnover speed(F/B)of fungal energy utilization and a higher fixation rate.After years of natural restoration,the soil microbial community generally transformed from nutrient-rich to heterotrophdominant,especially in microaggregates(reflected in the G^(+)/G^(–)ratio). | Zhijing Xue Zhengchao Zhou Shaoshan An | 2021 | Soil Ecology Letters2021,3,1: | 3 |

[Methods]The perchloric acid colorimetric method and UV spectrophotometer were used to determine the content of total saponins in Paris daliensis H. Li et V. G. Soukoup and Paris dulongensis H. Li et S. kurita at 406 nm. [Results]The lowest content of total saponins in Paris daliensis H. Li et V. G. Soukoup was 2. 637%,while the highest content reached 5. 474%; the lowest content of total saponins in Paris dulongensis was 1. 806%,while the highest content reached 3. 532%. | 5 | Nutrients of green and senesced leaves of a Robinia pseudoacacia plantation along a latitudinal gradient on the Loess Plateau,China显示文摘Plantations have been widely established to improve ecosystem services and functioning.Black locust,Robinia pseudoacacia L.is a common,widely planted species to control soil erosion on the Loess Plateau.Previous studies have focused on economic values but the interactions between soil and plant carbon(C),nitrogen(N)and phosphorus(P)remain unknown.Investigating variations of soil,green and senesced leaf C,N and P levels in R.pseudoacacia along a latitudinal gradient is useful to understanding its ecological functions.The results show that soil C,N and senesced leaf N and P significantly decreased with an increase in latitude,but there were no significant changes in the senesced leaf C and soil P.The resorption efficiency of N was related with latitude and soil N levels,and the relation between green leaf N and soil N was significant.These relations suggest that soil N was the key in affecting green leaf N levels.At higher latitudes,senesced leaves had lower N levels associated with higher N resorption efficiency to maintain a stable N content in green leaves.With a decrease of soil N,R.pseudoacacia can enhance N resorption efficiency to meet the demand of growth.Thus,it is an important species for reforestation,especially in nutrient-poor environments. | Quanchao Zeng Yang Liu Jiajia Yang Yanan Chen Lusha Ma Shaoshan An | 2021 | Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,6: | 2 |

| 7 | Effects of Defocus Distance on Three-Beam Laser Internal Coaxial Wire Cladding显示文摘Three-beam laser internal coaxial wire feeding cladding is regarded as a promising additive manufacturing technique because it is highly efficient and controllable.In this study,the effects of the defocus distance on cladding using a three-beam laser with internal wire feeding are experimentally and numerically studied.A process map indicating the surface characteristics at different defocus distances with various parameter combinations was developed.The transmission characteristics including laser intensity,beam size,and laser spot distance of the three-beam laser at different defocus distances were analyzed using TracePro software.Based on the TracePro results as heat source,a three-dimensional transient finite element(FE)thermal model was formulated to predict the thermal field,temperature history and molten pool shape at different defocus distances.A molten pool with a flat bottom and low melting depth is generated when the defocus distance is−2.5 mm,whereas when this distance is−1.5 mm,a pool with a valley-shaped bond and high melting depth is formed.The simulated results of the temperature cycle and clad geometry are both validated and found to well agree with experimental measurements.The influence of the defocus distance on the microstructure and microhardness are discussed based on the temperature history and cooling rate.With the increase in the absolute defocus distance,the height and dilution of the clad decreased,whereas the width increased.In addition,the effects of defocus distance with various parameter combinations on clad geometry were explored using the formulated FE model. | Shaoshan Ji Fan Liu Tuo Shi Geyan Fu Shihong Shi | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2021,34,4: | 2 |
| 8 | Study on Bamboo Treatment Technology with CuAz Preservative显示文摘In order to research the effect of preservative penetrability, CuAz (copper azole) was used for the preservative, and pieces of Moso bamboo (Phyllostachys pubescens) were used for the experimental materials in this study. The vacuum pressure process was used to treat bamboo pieces. The results showed as follows: 1) Main treatment factors were preservative concentration and applied pressure; 2) In the same technology, both the retention and the weight proportion gain of the samples without node were less than those of ones with node, due to special structure of bamboo node; 3) For the samples without node, a good result could be gotten when the preservative concentration was from 1% to 2%, treatment pressure was 0.6 MPa, and treatment time was 30 min. And for the bamboo samples with node, a good result can be gotten when the concentration was 2%, treatment pressure was 0.4 MPa, and treatment time was 30 min.
