Formation and evolution of layered structure in dissimilar welded joints between ferritic-martensitic steel and 316L stainless steel with fillers显示文摘Dissimilar high-energy beam(HEB)welding is necessary in many industrial applications.Different composition of heat-affected zone(HAZ)and weld metal(WM)lead to variation in mechanical properties within the dissimilar joint, which determines the performance of the welded structure. In the present study, appropriate filler material was used during electron beam welding(EBW)to obtain a reliable dissimilar joint between reduced-activation ferritic-martensitic(RAFM)steel and 316L austenitic stainless steel. It was observed that the layered structure occurred in the weld metal with 310S filler(310S-WM),which had the inferior resistance to thermal disturbance, leading to severe hardening of 310S-WM after one-step tempering treatment. To further ameliorate the joint inhomogeneity,two-step heat treatment processes were imposed to the joints and optimized.δ-ferrite in the layered structure transformed intoγ-phase in the first-step normalizing and remained stable during cooling. In the second-step of tempering, tempered martensite was obtained in the HAZ of the RAFM steel, while the microstructure of 310S-WM was not affected. Thus, the optimized properties for HAZ and 310S-WM in dissimilar welded joint was both obtained by a two-step heat treatment. The creep failure position of two dissimilar joints both occurred in CLAM-BM. | Guoliang Liu Shanwu Yang Jianwen Ding Wentuo Han Lujun Zhou Mengqi Zhang Shanshan Zhou RDKMisra Farong Wan Chengjia Shang | 2019 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2019,35,11: | 4
A parameterization scheme of vertical mixing due to inertial internal wave breaking in the ocean general circulation model显示文摘Based on the theoretical spectral model of inertial internal wave breaking(fine structure) proposed previously, in which the effects of the horizontal Coriolis frequency component f-tilde on a potential isopycnal are taken into account, a parameterization scheme of vertical mixing in the stably stratified interior below the surface mixed layer in the ocean general circulation model(OGCM) is put forward preliminarily in this paper. Besides turbulence, the impact of sub-mesoscale oceanic processes(including inertial internal wave breaking product) on oceanic interior mixing is emphasized. We suggest that adding the inertial internal wave breaking mixing scheme(F-scheme for short) put forward in this paper to the turbulence mixing scheme of Canuto et al.( T-scheme for short) in the OGCM, except the region from 15°S to 15°N. The numerical results of F-scheme by using WOA09 data and an OGCM(LICOM, LASG/IAP climate system ocean model) over the global ocean are given. A notable improvement in the simulation of salinity and temperature over the global ocean is attained by using T-scheme adding F-scheme, especially in the mid- and high-latitude regions in the simulation of the intermediate water and deep water. We conjecture that the inertial internal wave breaking mixing and inertial forcing of wind might be one of important mechanisms maintaining the ventilation process. The modeling strength of the Atlantic meridional overturning circulation(AMOC) by using T-scheme adding F-scheme may be more reasonable than that by using T-scheme alone, though the physical processes need to be further studied, and the overflow parameterization needs to be incorporated. A shortcoming in F-scheme is that in this paper the error of simulated salinity and temperature by using T-scheme adding F-scheme is larger than that by using T-scheme alone in the subsurface layer. | FAN Zhisong SHANG Zhenqi ZHANG Shanwu HU Ruijin LIU Hailong | 2015 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2015,34,1: | 4
Observation of continental shelf wave propagating along the eastern Taiwan Strait during Typhoon Meranti 2016显示文摘This study is the fi rst to depict typhoon-induced continental shelf wave(CSW)propagation in the eastern Taiwan Strait(TWS)during the passage of Typhoon Meranti in 2016 using tidal gauge data and along-track satellite altimeter data. The strong amplitude response of sea level oscillations(within the range of 0.30–0.54 m)as a free, barotropic CSW after Meranti, which impacted the TWS,was clearly detected in time and frequency(in bands of 64–81 h)using wavelet and cross-wavelet analyses. The measured group and phase speeds were consistent with the dispersion curves for CSW with the fi rst-mode derived from the cross-shelf sections of the eastern TWS,with the mean speeds reaching 3 and 5.6±0.7 m/s,respectively.Coincidentally,the typhoon-induced sea level anomaly(SLA)was also captured by the satellite altimeter before this CSW entered into the TWS.Using the theoretical cross-shore CSW modes to fi t the SLA data, the results indicated that the fi rst three wave modes can interpret this CSW event appeared in the southern TWS very well, with the fi rst mode being the dominant one. | Junqiang SHEN Shanwu ZHANG Junpeng ZHANG Mingzhang ZENG Wendong FANG | 2021 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2021,39,1: | 1
Characterization of Compactness of Rust Layers on Weathering Steels by an Adsorption/Dehydration Test of Ethanol显示文摘A new method for evaluating the compactness of rust layers on steels has been proposed in the present study. The method includes adsorption and dehydration process of anhydrous ethanol. The protective ability of rust layers can be qualitatively reflected by the adsorption/dehydration rates. The specific surface area and porosity of rust layers can be calculated by a quantitative model. The results from the present method are consistent with electrochemical tests, N2 adsorption and X-ray diffraction analysis. The method characterizes the compactness of rust layers rather than that of corrosion products removed from the metal surfaces, which is generally practiced in classic N2 adsorption method. Furthermore, the method can reflect the compactness of inner rust layers, to which N2 adsorption is unavailable. The method provides a new approach for the study of rust layers. | Lujun Zhou Shanwu Yang Yi Dong Wenhua Zhang Jianwen Ding Guoliang Liu Chengjia Shang Raja Devesh Kumar Misra | 2020 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2020,33,6: | 1
Estimate of contribution of near-inertial waves to the velocity shear in the Bay of Bengal based on mooring observations from2013 to 2014显示文摘Near-inertial motions contribute most of the velocity shear in the upper ocean. In the Bay of Bengal(BoB),the annual-mean energy flux from the wind to near-inertial motions in the mixed layer in 2013 is dominated by tropical cyclone(TC)processes. However, due to the lack of long-term observations of velocity profiles, our knowledge about interior near-inertial waves(NIWs)as well as their shear features is limited. In this study,we quantified the contribution of NIWs to shear by integrating the wavenumber-frequency spectra estimated from velocity profiles in the upper layers(40-440 m)of the southern Bo B from April 2013 to May 2014.It is shown that the annual-mean proportion of near-inertial shear out of the total is approximately 50%,and the high contribution is mainly due to the enhancement of the TC processes during which the near-inertial shear accounts for nearly 80%of the total. In the steady monsoon seasons, the near-inertial shear is dominant to or at least comparable with the subinertial shear. The contribution of NIWs to the total shear is lower during the summer monsoon than during the winter monsoon owing to more active mesoscale eddies and higher subinertial shear during the summer monsoon. The Doppler shifting of the M_(2)internal tide has little effect on the main results since the proportion of shear from the tidal motions is much lower than that from the near-inertial and subinertial motions. | Shanwu Zhang Yun Qiu Hangyu Chen Junqiang Shen Junpeng Zhang Jing Cha Fuwen Qiu Chunsheng Jing | 2021 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2021,40,11: | 0
Sea level anomalies in the northwestern Pacific during 2011 associated with La Nina and negative Indian Ocean Dipole显示文摘The sea level anomalies(SLAs)pattern in the northwestern Pacific delineated significant differences between La Ni?a events occurring with and without negative Indian Ocean Dipole(IOD)events.During the pure La Ni?a events, positive the sea surface level anomalies(SLAs)appear in the northwestern Pacific, but SLAs are weakened and negative SLAs appear in the northwestern Pacific under the contribution of the negative IOD events in 2010/2011.The negative IOD events can trigger significant westerly wind anomalies in the western tropical Pacific, which lead to the breakdown of the pronounced positive SLAs in the northwestern Pacific.Meanwhile, negative SLAs excited by the positive wind stress curl near the dateline propagated westward in the form of Rossby waves until it approached the western Pacific boundary in mid-2011,which maintained and enhanced the negative phase of SLAs in the northwestern Pacific and eventually,it could significantly influence the bifurcation and transport of the North Equatorial Current(NEC). | Fuwen Qiu Yun Qiu Aijun Pan Jing Cha Shanwu Zhang | 2019 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2019,38,11: | 0
Problem Handling and Improvement of Imported SCR Static Excitation System显示文摘Static self-excitation system has been more and more widely used for large turbogenerator units in China and achieved very good results in recent years. However, new problems have arisen along with the development of high-power thyristor technology, etc. In view of the actual operating condition of SEE900/5000 SCR static excitation system imported from Siemens, Germany, some technical renovations were carried out. | Hao Shanwu Li Weimin Liang Jianfen Chu Xue(译) Zhang Yan(审校) | 2006 | Electricity2006,17,2: | 0
Abnormal relationship between rust particles size and rust layer compactness of weathering steels显示文摘In order to reveal evolution of the rust layer during atmospheric corrosion, commercial weathering steel(WS) 09CuPCrNi and a recently developed bainite WS were subjected to a salt fog test. The protection and compactness of the rust layer were evaluated by electrochemical analysis,absorption-desorption test, etc. The experimental results indicate that more compact rust layer could be derived from the rust particles with larger size. The well-established notion that the rust particle growth can induce the decrement of corrosion resistance of WS.However, the present investigation shows that the notion might not be universally accurate. The unusual result means that the rust particles might grow anisotropically during corrosion. | Ming ZHANG Shanwu YANG Hua ZHENG Lili CHI Xinlai HE | 2010 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2010,23,1: | 0
