| 1 | Spatial and vertical variations of perfluoroalkyl substances in sediments of the Haihe River,China显示文摘The levels of six perfluoroalkyl substances(PFASs) in surface sediment and their vertical variations in dated sediment cores from the Haihe River were investigated; studied substances included perfluorooctanoic acid(PFOA),perfluorononanoic acid(PFNA),perfluorooctane sulfonate(PFOS),perfluorodecanoic acid(PFDA),perfluoroundecanoic acid(PFUnA),and perfluorododecanoic acid(PFDoA). Results showed that the total PFAS concentration in surface sediment ranged between 0.52 and 16.33 ng/g dry weight(dw) with an average of3.47 ng/g dw,with PFOS and PFOA as the dominant PFASs. In general,the PFAS concentrations in the mainstream increased from the upper to the lower reaches,except that a drop occurred downstream of the Erdao dam. Although the PFASs in the sediment cores did not show a clear decreasing or increasing trend with depth,the three cores had a similar vertical variation.The PFAS levels were relatively low in the surface sediment,and reached the first high point at8–20 cm as a result of the wide use of PFASs from 1990 to 2000. After that the PFAS levels decreased,and then increased to a second high point at about 40–48 cm,which might be caused by the leaching of PFASs in sediment. Because PFASs have hydrophilic groups and relatively high solubility,the PFASs will transfer from the upper to lower layers of sediment when water infiltration occurs,leading to the fluctuation of PFAS levels in sediment cores. | 2 | HY5-HDA9 Module Transcriptionally Regulates Plant Autophagy in Response to Light-to-Dark Conversion and Nitrogen Starvation显示文摘Light is arguably one of the most important environmental factors that determines virtually all aspects of plant growth and development,but the molecular link between light signaling and the autophagy pathway has not been elucidated in plants.In this study,we demonstrate that autophagy is activated during light-to-dark conversion though transcriptional upregulation of autophagy-related genes(ATGs).We showed that depletion of the ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL 5(HY5),a key component of light signaling,leads to enhanced autophagy activity and resistance to extended darkness and nitrogen starvation treatments,contributing to higher expression oiATGs.HY5 interacts with and recruits HISTONE DEACETYLASE 9(HDA9)to ATG5 and ATG8e loci to repress their expression by deacetylation of the Lys9 and Lys27 of histone 3.Furthermore,we found that both darkness and nitrogen depletion induce the degradation of HY5 via 26S proteasome and the concomitant disassociation of HDA9 from ATG5 and ATG8e loci,leading to their depression and thereby activated autophagy.Genetic analysis further confirmed that HY5 and HDA9 act synergistically and function upstream of the autophagy pathway.Collectively,our study unveils a previously unknown transcriptional and epigenetic network that regulates autophagy in response to light-to-dark conversion and nitrogen starvation in plants. | Chao Yang Wenjin Shen Lianming Yang Yun Sun Xibao Li Minyi Lai Juan Wei Chaojun Wang Yingchao Xu Faqiang Li Shan Liang Chengwei Yang Shangwei Zhong Ming Luo Caiji Gao | 2020 | Molecular Plant2020,13,3: | 8 |

| 6 | Enhanced blue-light excited cyan-emitting persistent luminescence of BaLu_(2)Al_(2)Ga_(2)SiO_(12)∶Ce3+,Bi3+phosphors for AC-LEDs via defect modulation显示文摘Alternating current light-emitting diodes(AC-LEDs)have received significant attention from both academia and industry due to their remarkable benefits of more compact volume,cheaper manufacturing cost,greater energy usage efficiency,and longer service life.One of the most significant challenges for AC-LEDs is the flicker effect,which is mainly caused by the unavoidable 5-20 ms dimming time.Aiming to reduce the flicker effect,we designed a series of excellent blue-light excited cyan-emitting persistent luminescence(PersL)phosphors BaLu_(2)Al_(2)Ga_(2)SiO_(12)∶Ce^(3+),Bi^(3+)via defect engineering of co-doping Bi^(3+).Interestingly,we found that co-doping Bi^(3+)not only effectively enhanced the PersL intensity,but also regulated the PersL lifetime of this phosphors.As the Bi^(3+)co-doping concentration increases to 0.01,the T80 value(the time when the PersL intensity decreases to 80%of the initial intensity)increases from 0.24 to 19.61 ms,which proves to be effective in compensating the flicker effect of AC-LEDs.A new method of generating white light emission during the dimming time through adding the blue-light excited cyan PersL phosphor to the original orange-red PersL phosphor was proposed and an AC-LED lamp with a decreased percent flicker of 48.15%was fabricated,which is significantly better than the other currently reported AC-LED devices based on PersL phosphors.These results demonstrate that BaLu_(2)Al_(2)Ga_(2)SiO_(12):Ce^(3+),Bi^(3+)might be an attractive material for low-flicker AC-LEDs. | Weihong Yuan Ran Pang Shangwei Wang Tao Tan Chengyu Li Chaowei Wang Hongjie Zhang | 2022 | Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,7: | 2 |

For any multiset which consists of some k-long oligonucleotides, a DNA labelled graph is defined as follows: each oligonucleotide from the multiset becomes a point; two points are connected by an arc from the first point to the second one if the i rightmost uucleotides of the first point overlap with the i leftmost nucleotides of the second one. We say that a directed graph D can be(k, i;α)-labelled if it is possible to assign a label(l1(x),..., lk(x))to each point x of D such that lj(x)∈{0,...,a-1}for any j∈{1,...,k}and(x,y)∈E(D)if and only if(lk-i+1(x),..., lk(x))=(l1(y),..., li(y)). By the biological background, a directed graph is a DNA labelled graph if there exist two integers k, i such that it is(k, i; 4)-labelled. In this paper, a detailed discussion of DNA labelled graphs is given. Firstly, we study the relationship between DNA labelled graphs and some existing directed graph classes. Secondly, it is shown that for any DNA labelled graph, there exists a positive integer i such that it is(2i, i; 4)-labelled. Furthermore, the smallest i is determined, and a polynomial-time algorithm is introduced to give a(2i, i; 4)-labelling for a given DNA labelled graph.
