1Convolutional neural networks for time series classification显示文摘Time series classification is an important task in time series data mining, and has attracted great interests and tremendous efforts during last decades. However, it remains a challenging problem due to the nature of time series data: high dimensionality,large in data size and updating continuously. The deep learning techniques are explored to improve the performance of traditional feature-based approaches. Specifically, a novel convolutional neural network(CNN) framework is proposed for time series classification. Different from other feature-based classification approaches,CNN can discover and extract the suitable internal structure to generate deep features of the input time series automatically by using convolution and pooling operations. Two groups of experiments are conducted on simulated data sets and eight groups of experiments are conducted on real-world data sets from different application domains. 9Numerical simulation of pressure fluctuation in Kaplan turbine显示文摘As it is almost impossible to carry out the prototype hydro-turbine experiment be- fore the power plant is built up, rational prediction of pressure fluctuations in the prototype turbine is very important at the design stage. From this viewpoint, we at first treated the unsteady turbulent flow computation based on the modified RNG k-ε turbulence model through the whole flow passage to simulate the pressure fluctuation in a model turbine. Since fair agreement was recognized between the numerical results and the experimental data, this numerical method was applied to simulate the pressure fluctuations in the prototype turbine. From the comparison of them with the model turbine results, it is seen that their qualitative trend of pres- sure fluctuations are similar, but an appreciable difference is observed between the amplitudes of pressure fluctuation of the prototype turbine and that of the model turbine. Though the present findings may be explained by the effect of Reynolds number, further studies are expected for quantitative interpretation. We paid atten- tion to the interaction between the fluid and turbine structure. 10Single titanium-oxide species implanted in 2D g-CsN4 matrix as a highly efficient visible-light CO2 reduction photocatalyst显示文摘A visible-light-response, efficie nt and robust photo-catalyst for CO2 reduction is highly desirable. Herein, we demonstrate that single titanium-oxide species impla nted in two-dime nsion al (2D) graphitic carb on n itride (g-C3N4) matrix (2D TiO-CN) can efficie ntly photo-catalyze the reduction of CO2 to CO under the irradiation of visible light. The synergistic interaction between single titanium oxide species and g-C3N4 in 2D TiO-CN not only enhances the separation of photo-excited charges, but also results in visible light response of single titanium-oxide species, realizing high activity of CO2 photo-reduction with extremely high CO generation rate of 283.9 pmol·h^-1·g^-1, 5.7, 6.8 and 292.2 times larger than those of TQ2/CN hybrid material, CN and commercial TiO2, respectively. 11On the Weakened Relationship between Spring Arctic Oscillation and Following Summer Tropical Cyclone Frequency over the Western North Pacific:A Comparison between 1968–1986 and 1989–2007显示文摘This study documents a weakening of the relationship between the spring Arctic Oscillation(AO) and the following summer tropical cyclone(TC) formation frequency over the eastern part(150?–180?E) of the western North Pacific(WNP). The relationship is strong and statistically significant during 1968–1986,but becomes weak during 1989–2007. The spring AOrelated SST,atmospheric dynamic,and thermodynamic conditions are compared between the two epochs to understand the possible reasons for the change in the relationship. Results indicate that the spring AO leads to an El Ni ?no-like SST anomaly,lower-level anomalous cyclonic circulation,upper-level anomalous anticyclonic circulation,enhanced ascending motion,and a positive midlevel relative humidity anomaly in the tropical western–central Pacific during 1968–1986,whereas the AOrelated anomalies in the above quantities are weak during 1989–2007. 13Intensified Impact of Northern Tropical Atlantic SST on Tropical Cyclogenesis Frequency over the Western North Pacific after the Late 1980s显示文摘Previous studies suggest that spring SST anomalies over the northern tropical Atlantic(NTA) affect the tropical cyclone(TC) activity over the western North Pacific(WNP) in the following summer and fall. The present study reveals that the connection between spring NTA SST and following summer–fall WNP TC genesis frequency is not stationary. The influence of spring NTA SST on following summer–fall WNP TC genesis frequency is weak and insignificant before, but strong and significant after, the late 1980 s. Before the late 1980 s, the NTA SST anomaly-induced SST anomalies in the tropical central Pacific are weak, and the response of atmospheric circulation over the WNP is not strong. As a result, the connection between spring NTA SST and following summer–fall WNP TC genesis frequency is insignificant in the former period. In contrast,after the late 1980 s, NTA SST anomalies induce pronounced tropical central Pacific SST anomalies through an Atlantic–Pacific teleconnection. Tropical central Pacific SST anomalies further induce favorable conditions for WNP TC genesis,including vertical motion, mid-level relative humidity, and vertical zonal wind shear. Hence, the connection between NTA SST and WNP TC genesis frequency is significant in the recent period. 16Numerical Experiments on the Impact of Spring North Pacific SSTA on NPO and Unusually Cool Summers in Northeast China显示文摘A set of numerical experiments designed to analyze the oceanic forcing in spring show that the combined forcing of cold(warm) El Nino(La Nina) phases in the Nino4 region and sea surface temperature anomalies(SSTA) in the westerly drifts region would result in abnormally enhanced NorthEast Cold Vortex(NECV) activities in early summer. In spring, the central equatorial Pacific El Nino phase and westerly drift SSTA forcing would lead to the retreat of non-adiabatic waves,inducing elliptic low-frequency anomalies of tropical air flows. This would enhance the anomalous cyclone–anticyclone–cyclone–anticyclone low-frequency wave train that propagates from the tropics to the extratropics and further to the mid-high latitudes, constituting a major physical mechanism that contributes to the early summer circulation anomalies in the subtropics and in the North Pacific mid-high latitudes. 17Robust model predictive control for greenhouse temperature based on particle swarm optimization显示文摘Application of model predictive control(MPC)in horticultural practice requires detailed models.However,even highly sophisticated greenhouse climate models are often known to have unknown dynamics affected by bounded uncertainties.To enforce robustness during the controller design stage,this paper proposes a particle swarm optimization(PSO)-based robust MPC strategy for greenhouse temperature systems.The strategy is based on a nonlinear physical temperature affine model.The robust MPC technique requires online solution of a minimax optimal control problem,which optimizes the tradeoff between set point tracking and cost requirements reduction.The minimax optimization problem is reformulated to a nonlinear programming problem with constraints.PSO is used to solve the reformulated problem and priority ranking of constraint fitness is proposed to guarantee that the constraints are satisfied.The results of simulations performed using the proposed control system show that the controller can effectively achieve the set point in the presence of disturbances and that it offers more suitable control variables,higher control precision,and stronger robustness than the conventional MPC.Lijun Chen Shangfeng Du Yaofeng He Meihui Liang Dan Xu 2018Information Processing in Agriculture2018,5,3:4
18Quantitative Assessment of Impacts of Regional Climate and Human Activities on Saline-alkali Land Changes:A Case Study of Qian'an County,Jilin Province显示文摘Interdecadal and interannual variations of saline-alkali land area in Qian′an County, Jilin Province, China were comprehensively analyzed in this paper by means of satellite remote sensing interpretation, field flux observations and regional climate diagnosis.The results show that on the interannual scale, the impact of climate factors accounts for 71.6% of the total variation of the saline-alkali land area, and that of human activities accounts for 28.4%.Therefore the impact of climate factors is obviously greater than that of human activities.On the interdecadal scale, the impact of climate factors on the increase of the saline-alkali land area accounts for 43.2%, and that of human activities accounts for 56.8%.The impact of human activities on the variation of saline-alkali land area is very clear on the interdecadal scale, and the negative impact of human activities on the environment should not be negligible.Besides, changes in the area of heavy saline-alkali land have some indication for development of saline-alkali land in Qian′an County.LIAN Yi WANG Jie TU Gang REN Hongling SHEN Baizhu ZHI Keguang LI Shangfeng GAO Zongting 2010Chinese Geographical Science2010,20,1:3
19BYSL contributes to tumor growth by cooperating with the mTORC2 complex in gliomas显示文摘Objective:BYSL,which encodes the Bystin protein in humans,is upregulated in reactive astrocytes following brain damage and/or inflammation.We aimed to determine the role and mechanism of BYSL in glioma cell growth and survival.Methods:BYSL expression in glioma tissues was measured by quantitative real-time PCR,Western blot,and immunohistochemistry.In vitro assays were performed to assess the role of BYSL in cell proliferation and apoptosis.Protein interactions and co-localization were determined by co-immunoprecipitation and double immunofluorescence.The expression and activity of the AKT/m TOR signaling molecules were determined by Western blot analysis,and the role of BYSL in glioma growth was confirmed in an orthotopic xenograft model.Results:The BYSL m RNA and protein levels were elevated in glioma tissues.Silencing BYSL inhibited glioma cell proliferation,impeded cell cycle progression,and induced apoptosis,whereas overexpressing BYSL protein led to the opposite effects.We identified a complex consisting of BYSL,RIOK2,and m TOR,and observed co-localization and positive correlations between BYSL and RIOK2 in glioma cells and tissues.Overexpressing BYSL or RIOK2 increased the expression and activity of AKT/m TOR signaling molecules,whereas downregulation of BYSL or RIOK2 decreased the activity of AKT/m TOR signaling molecules.Silencing BYSL or RIOK2 decreased the growth of the tumors and prolonged the lifespan of the animals in an orthotopic xenograft model.Conclusions:High expression of BYSL in gliomas promoted tumor cell growth and survival both in vitro and in vivo.These effects could be attributed to the association of BYSL with RIOK2 and m TOR,and the subsequent activation of AKT signaling.Shangfeng Gao Zhuang Sha Junbo Zhou Yihao Wu Yunnong Song Cheng Li Xuejiao Liu Tong Zhang Rutong Yu 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,1:3
20CsPb(I_(x)Br_(1-x))_(3) solar cells显示文摘Owing to its nice performance, low cost, and simple solution-processing, organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cell(PSC) becomes a promising candidate for next-generation high-efficiency solar cells.The power conversion efficiency(PCE) has boosted from 3.8% to 25.2% over the past ten years. Despite the rapid progress in PCE, the device stability is a key issue that impedes the commercialization of PSCs. Recently, all-inorganic cesium lead halide perovskites have attracted much attention due to their better stability compared with their organic-inorganic counterpart. In this progress report, we summarize the properties of CsPb(IxBr1-x)3 and their applications in solar cells. The current challenges and corresponding solutions are discussed.
