| 1 | Epidemiology, causes, clinical manifestation and diagnosis, prevention and control of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) during the early outbreak period: a scoping review显示文摘Background:The coronavirus disease(COVID-19)has been identified as the cause of an outbreak of respiratory illness in Wuhan,Hubei Province,China beginning in December 2019.As of 31 January 2020,this epidemic had spread to 19 countries with 11791 confirmed cases,including 213 deaths.The World Health Organization has declared it a Public Health Emergency of International Concern.Methods:A scoping review was conducted following the methodological framework suggested by Arksey and O'Malley.In this scoping review,65 research articles published before 31 January 2020 were analyzed and discussed to better understand the epidemiology,causes,clinical diagnosis,prevention and control of this virus.The research domains,dates of publication,journal language,authors'affiliations,and methodological characteristics were included in the analysis.All the findings and statements in this review regarding the outbreak are based on published information as listed in the references.Results:Most of the publications were written using the English language(89.2%).The largest proportion of published articles were related to causes(38.5%)and a majority(67.7%)were published by Chinese scholars.Research articles initially focused on causes,but over time there was an increase of the articles related to prevention and control.Studies thus far have shown that the virus7 origination is in connection to a seafood market in Wuhan,but specific animal associations have not been confirmed.Reported symptoms include fever,cough,fatigue,pneumonia,headache,diarrhea,hemoptysis,and dyspnea.Preventive measures such as masks,hand hygiene practices,avoidance of public contact,case detection,contact tracing,and quarantines have been discussed as ways to reduce transmission.To date,no specific antiviral treatment has proven effective;hence,infected people primarily rely on symptomatic treatment and supportive care.Conclusions:There has been a rapid surge in research in response to the outbreak of COVID-19.During this early period,published research primarily explored the epidemiology,causes,clinical manifestation and diagnosis,as well as prevention and control of the novel coronavirus.Although these studies are relevant to control the current public emergency,more high-quality research is needed to provide valid and reliable ways to manage this kind of public health emergency in both the short-and long-term. | Sasmita Poudel Adhikari Sha Meng Yu-Ju Wu Yu-Ping Mao Rui-Xue Ye Qing-Zhi Wang Chang Sun Sean Sylvia Scott Rozelle Hein Raat Huan Zhou | 2020 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2020,9,2: | 28 |

| 4 | NYD-SP27,a novel intrinsic decapacitation factor in sperm显示文摘Prior to fertilization sperm has to undergo an activation process known as capaciation,leading to the acrosome reaction.Till now,little is known about the mechanism for preventing premature capacitation in sperm although decapacitation factors from various sources have been thought to be involved.In this study,we report that NYD-SP27,an isoform of phospholipase C Zeta 1(PLCZ1),is localized to the sperm acrosome in mouse and human spermatozoa by immunofluorescence using a specific antibody.Western blot and double staining analyses show NYD-SP27 becomes detached from sperm,as they undergo capacitation and acrosome reaction.The absence of HCO_(3)^(-),a key factor in activating capacitation,from the capacitation-inducing medium prevents the loss of NYD-SP27 from sperm.The anti-NYD-SP27 antibody also prevents the loss of NYD-SP27 from sperm,reduced the number of capacitated sperm,inhibited the acrosome reaction induced by ATP and progesterone,and inhibited agonist-induced PLC-coupled Ca^(2+)mobilization in sperm,which can be mimicked by the PLC inhibitor,U73122.These data strongly suggest that NYD-SP27 is a physiological inhibitor of PLC that acts as an intrinsic decapacitation factor in sperm to prevent premature capacitation and acrosome reaction. | Ye Bi Wen-Ming Xu Hau Yan Wong Hui Zhu Zuo-Min Zhou Hsiao Chang Chan Jia-Hao Sha | 2009 | Asian Journal of Andrology2009,11,2: | 8 |
| 5 | Purification and Characterization of a Low-temperature Hydroxylamine Oxidase from Heterotrophic Nitrifier Acinetobacter sp.Y16显示文摘Objective To purify a low-temperature hydroxylamine oxidase(HAO) from a heterotrophic nitrifying bacterium Acinetobacter sp.Y16 and investigate the enzyme property.Methods A HAO was purified by an anion-exchange and gel-filtration chromatography from strain Y16.The purity and molecular mass were determined by RP-HPLC and SDS-PAGE.The HAO activity was detected by monitoring the reduction of potassium ferricyanide using hydroxylamine as substrate and ferricyanide as electron acceptor.The partial amino acid sequence was determined by mass spectrometry.Results The low-temperature HAO with a molecular mass of 61 kDa was purified from strain Y16 by an anion-exchange and gel-filtration chromatography.The enzyme exhibited an ability to oxidize hydroxylamine in wide temperature range(4-40 ℃) in vitro using hydroxylamine as substrate and ferricyanide as electron acceptor.It was stable in the temperature range of 4 to 15 ℃ and pH range of6.0 to 8.5 with less than 30%change in its activity.The optimal temperature and pH were 15 ℃ and 7.5,respectively.Three peptides were determined by mass spectrometry which were shown to be not identical to other reported HAOs.Conclusion This is the first study to purify a low-temperature HAO from a heterotrophic nitrifier Acinetobacter sp.It differs from other reported HAOs in molecular mass and enzyme properties.The findings of the present study have suggested that the strain Y16 passes through a hydroxylamine-oxidizing process catalyzed by a low-temperature HAO for ammonium removal. | ZHANG Shu Mei LI Wei Guang ZHANG Duo Ying HUANG Xiao Fei QIN Wen SHA Chang Qing | 2014 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2014,27,7: | 6 |

| 9 | Combined detection and subclass characteristics analysis of CTCs and CTECs by SE-iFISH in ovarian cancer显示文摘Objective:Hematogenous metastasis is essential for the progression of ovarian cancer(OC),and circulating tumor cells(CTCs)are part of the metastatic cascade.However,the detection rate of CTC is low due to the use of less sensitive detection methods.Therefore,this study aimed to detect CTCs and circulating tumorigenic endothelial cells(CTECs)in patients with OC using subtraction enrichment and immunostaining and fluorescence in situ hybridization(SE-iFISH).Methods:We enrolled a total of 56 subjects,including 20 OC patients and 36 ovarian benign tumor patients.CTCs and CTECs were captured by subtraction enrichment(SE)and counted and classified according to immunofluorescence staining of tumor markers(TMs)carbohydrate antigen 125(CA125)and human epididymis protein 4(HE4)combined with fluorescence in situ hybridization(iFISH)of chromosome 8(Chr8)aneuploidy.The diagnostic value and subtype characteristics of CTCs and CTECs were investigated.Results:The detection rate of CTCs by SE-iFISH was high.Compared with CA125 and HE4,Chr8 aneuploidy was the major identification feature of CTC.CTC counts in OC were statistically higher than those in benign groups.CTC and CTEC with≥pentaploidy were detected in both groups,illustrating the poor diagnostic value of CTC or CTEC.Distributions of triploid and tetraploid CTC subtypes were significantly different,and combined detection of triploid and tetraploid CTCs showed the best diagnostic value.In contrast,the distribution of CTECs in the OC and benign groups had no statistically significant difference.Small CTCs accounted for over 1/3 of the total CTC count.We also found that small CTCs and CTECs primarily comprised triploid cells,while large CTCs and CTECs mainly comprised pentaploidy and beyond.Conclusions:The application of SE-iFISH offered a more comprehensive understanding of heterogeneous CTCs and CTECs in OC.Analysis of subclass characteristics of the CTCs and CTECs according to Chr8 aneuploidy and cell size may broaden their potential clinical utility and deepen mechanistic studies in OC. | Hongyan Cheng Shang Wang Wenqing Luan Xue Ye Sha Dou Zhijian Tang Honglan Zhu Peter Ping Lin Yi Li Heng Cui Xiaohong Chang | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2021,33,2: | 3 |

The dependency relationship of NSCT neighborhoods coefficients are also taken into consideration in our model. The speckle noise coefficients are shrinkaged by statistical prior estimation based on SAR image model constructed. | 14 | Design and evaluation of glomerulus mesangium-targeted PEG-PLGA nanoparticles loaded with dexamethasone acetate显示文摘Mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis (MsPGN),one of the most common glomerulonephritis pathological types,often leads to end-stage renal disease over a prolonged period.But the current treatment of MsPGN is non-specific and causes serious side effects,thus novel therapeutics and targeting strategies are urgently demanded.By combining the advantages of PEG-PLGA nanoparticles and the size selection mechanism of renal glomerulus,we designed and developed a novel PEG-PLGA nanoparticle delivery system capable of delivering dexamethasone acetate (A-DEX)into glomerular mesangium.We determined that 90 nm was the optimum size to encapsulate A-DEX for glomerular mesangium targeting based on the size-selection mechanism of glomerulus.
