1可生物降解Mg-RE(RE=Gd,Y,Nd)合金的组织与腐蚀性能(英文)显示文摘对含有确定杂质(Fe,Ni,Cu,Co)成分的二元Mg-Gd(<5%Gd,质量分数)、Mg-Nd(<9%Nd)合金和三元Mg-Gd-Y(<5%Gd,1%Y)合金的显微组织与腐蚀性能进行研究。所研究合金为铸态(冷却速率500K/min)或T4固溶热处理态。采用光学显微镜、扫描电子显微镜、能谱仪、X射线衍射和辉光放电光谱法对合金进行表征,采用维氏硬度仪测量其硬度。通过在9g/LNaCl模拟生理溶液中的浸泡试验和动电位测试研究其腐蚀性能。结果表明,铸态合金的显微组织以细小的ɑ-Mg枝晶和Mg-RE共晶为主。Mg-Gd合金中的枝晶存在明显的稀土浓度梯度。为此,对Mg-Gd合金进行T4热处理,以形成新的立方Mg5Gd相。添加Gd后合金的抗腐蚀性能得到明显改善,添加Nd的影响较微弱,而添加Y对Mg-Gd的抗腐蚀性有不利影响。T4热处理显著地加快了Mg-Gd合金的腐蚀,但对Mg-Nd合金的影响不明显。对合金的腐蚀行为与显微组织和所含杂质的关系进行了讨论。J.KUBSEK D.VOJTěCH 2013Transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China2013,23,5:16

5Overview of the Shenzhen Emergency Medical Service Call Pattern显示文摘BACKGROUND:In Shenzhen,the Emergency Medical Service(EMS) system has been in service since 1997.This study aims to examine the operation of Shenzhen 120 EMS center and to identify the reasons of calling EMS.METHODS:In this retrospective quantitative descriptive study,the data from the Shenzhen 120 EMS registry in 2011 were analyzed.RESULTS:Shenzhen 120 EMS center is a communication command center.When the number of 120 are dialed,it is forwarded to the closest appropriate hospital for ambulance dispatch.In2011,the Shenzhen 120 EMS center received 153 160 ambulance calls,with an average of 420 calls per day.Calling emergency services was mainly due to traffic accidents.Trauma and other acute diseases constituted a majority of ambulance transports.The adult patients aged 15-60 years are the principal users of EMS.There are no recognized 'paramedic' doctors and nurses.The pre-hospital emergency service is under the operation of emergency departments of hospitals.Shenzhen at present does not have specialized pre-hospital training for doctors and nurses in posttrauma management.Moreover,specialized pre-hospital training,financial support,and public health education on proper use of EMS should be emphasized.CONCLUSION:The Shenzhen 120 EMS center has its own epidemiology characteristics.Traumatic injury and traffic accident are the main reasons for calling ambulance service.In-depth study emphasizing the distribution and characteristics of trauma patients is crucial to the future development of EMS.Shuk Man Lo Yi Min Yu Lap Yip Larry Lee Mi Ling Eliza Wong Sek Ying Chair Edward J Kalinowski Tak Shing Jimmy Chan 2012World Journal of Emergency Medicine2012,3,4:4
6Superior Properties of Mg–4Y–3RE–Zr Alloy Prepared by Powder Metallurgy显示文摘Magnesium alloys are important materials for application in the automotive and aviation industries. During the last few years, the number of possible applications as biodegradable implants in medicine has grown. Mg–RE(rare earth) alloys belong to the most advanced group of products, offering the best combination of mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. Among these materials, WE43(Mg–Y–Nd)is a very well-known commercial alloy that has been extensively studied for applications at increased temperatures and also in organisms. Although this material has been described, there are still possibilities to improve its properties and subsequently expand its applicability. Powder metallurgy has already been used for the preparation of magnesium alloys with superior mechanical properties and occasionally superior corrosion properties. Therefore, the present paper is oriented toward the preparation of Mg–4Y–3RE–Zr(WE43) alloy by the powder metallurgy technique(WE43-PM) and comparison of the final properties with the product of extrusion of as-cast ingot(WE43-IM). Our processing leads to a partial improvement in the mechanical properties and superior corrosion resistance of WE43-PM. 7Two macrophages, osteoclasts and microglia: from development to pleiotropy显示文摘Tissue-resident macrophages are highly specialized to their tissue-specific microenvironments,activated by various inflammatory signals and modulated by genetic and environmental factors.Osteoclasts and microglia are distinct tissue-resident cells of the macrophage lineage in bone and brain that are responsible for pathological changes in osteoporosis and Alzheimer’s disease(AD),respectively.Osteoporosis is more frequently observed in individuals with AD compared to the prevalence in general population.Diagnosis of AD is often delayed until underlying pathophysiological changes progress and cause irreversible damages in structure and function of brain.As such earlier diagnosis and intervention of individuals at higher risk would be indispensable to modify clinical courses.Pleiotropy is the phenomenon that a genetic variant affects multiple traits and the genetic correlation between two traits could suggest a shared molecular mechanism.In this review,we discuss that the Pyk2-mediated actin polymerization pathway in osteoclasts and microglia in bone and brain,respectively,is the horizontal pleiotropic mediator of shared risk factors for osteoporosis and AD.Ji-Won Lee In-Hee Lee Tadahiro Iimura Sek Won Kong 2021Bone Research2021,9,2:4
8Evaluation of asphalt mixture behavior incorporating warm mix additives and reclaimed asphalt pavement显示文摘Incorporation of warm mix asphalt(WMA) and reclaimed asphalt pavement(RAP) has benefited the asphalt industry in many ways such as reducing the demand for virgin materials, lowering energy requirement during the asphalt production and construction, in addition to reducing greenhouse-gas emissions. This study evaluated the effects of Evotherm~ and RH-WMA and RAP on mixtures' behavior in terms of the compaction energy index(CEI), indirect tensile strength(ITS) and resilient modulus. The results showed that warm mix additives reduced the CEI, ITS and resilient modulus; while RAP increased the corresponding values. Statistical analysis showed that mixtures incorporating Evotherm~and RAP had significant effects on CEI, while the effects of RH-WMA on the corresponding value were found to be statistically insignificant. General Linear Model showed that Evotherm~, RAP and RH-WMA exhibited no significant effects on the ITS and resilient modulus. The one-way analysis of variance showed that Evotherm~ influenced mixture behavior significantly, while RAP and RH-WMA effects were found to be statistically insignificant. 10Regeneration of neurotransmission transcriptome in a model of epileptic encephalopathy after antiinflammatory treatment显示文摘Inflammation is an established etiopathogenesis factor of infantile spasms(IS), a therapy-resistant epileptic syndrome of infancy. We investigated the IS-associated transcriptomic alterations of neurotransmission in rat hypothalamic arcuate nucleus, how they are corrected by antiinflamatory treatments and whether there are sex differences. IS was triggered by repeated intraperitoneal administration of N-methyl-D-aspartic acid following anti-inflammatory treatment(adreno-cortico-tropic-hormone(ACTH) or PMX53)or normal saline vehicle to prenatally exposed to betamethasone young rats. We found that treatments with both ACTH and PMX53 resulted in substantial recovery of the genomic fabrics of all types of synaptic transmission altered by IS. While ACTH represents the first line of treatment for IS, the even higher efficiency of PMX53(an antagonist of the complement C5 a receptor) in restoring the normal transcriptome was not expected. In addition to the childhood epilepsy, the recovery of the neurotransmission genomic fabrics by PMX53 also gives hope for the autism spectrum disorders that share a high comorbidity with IS. Our results revealed significant sex dichotomy in both IS-associated transcriptomic alterations(males more affected) and in the efficiency of PMX53 anti-inflammatory treatment(better for males).
