| 1 | Recent status of fluidized bed technologies for producing iron input materials for steelmaking显示文摘Today steel is produced by two steelmaking processes, the basic oxygen furnace and the electric arc furnace. Three types of iron input materials for both processes are liquid hot metal or in solidified form as pig iron, direct reduced iron (DRI) and hot briquetted iron (HBI) as well as steel scrap. Hot metal, pig iron, DRI and HBI are virgin iron materials, which have to be produced from iron ore by the so-called ironmaking technologies. New ironmaking processes based on fluidized bed technology have been developed in the last two decades. The main advantage of these technologies is that fine ore can be directly used in the processes and prior treatment such as sintering or pelletizing can be avoided which is required for the established processes. Theoretical aspects for reduction of fine iron oxides in a fluidized bed reactor system will be explained. The fluidized bed reducing technologies utilized in the most advanced new ironmaking processes for direct use of fine ore, FINMET , Circored , FINEX and HIsmelt will be compared. | Johannes Leopold Schenk | 2011 | Particuology2011，9，1： | 16 |

| 4 | Bifunctional chimeric SuperCD suicide gene -YCD: YUPRT fusion is highly effective in a rat hepatoma model显示文摘AIM: To investigate the effects of catalytically superior gene-directed enzyme prodrug therapy systems on a rat hepatoma model.METHODS: To increase hepatoma cell chemosensitivity for the prodrug 5-fluorocytosine (5-FC), we generated a chimeric bifunctional SuperCD suicide gene, a fusion of the yeast cytosine deaminase (YCD) and the yeast uracil phosphoribosyltransferase (YUPRT) gene.RESULTS: In vitro stably transduced Morris rat hepatoma cells (MH) expressing the bifunctional SuperCD suicide gene (MH SuperCD) showed a clearly marked enhancement in cell killing when incubated with 5-FC as compared with MH ceils stably expressing YCD solely (MH YCD) or the cytosine deaminase gene of bacterial origin(MH BCD), respectively. In vivo, MH SuperCD tumors implanted both subcutaneously as well as orthotopically into the livers of syngeneic ACI rats demonstrated significant tumor regressions (P<0.01) under both high dose as well as low dose systemic 5-FC application,whereas MH tumors without transgene expression (MH naive) showed rapid progression. | 8 | Fluidization behavior and reducibility of iron ore fines during hydrogen-induced fluidized bed reduction显示文摘A laboratory fluidized bed reactor was used to investigate the fluidization behavior and reducibility of various iron ore fines.Hydrogen was chosen as a reducing agent across a temperature range of 873-1073 K.The magnetite ore used exhibited strong sticking behavior after the initiation of metallic iron formation.All other tested ores fluidized sufficiently well when subjected to the same high reduction temperatures.Parallel kinetic analysis was conducted using a previously developed model to include three rate-limiting step types.The trend of apparent activation energy was correlated with the degree of reduction.Additionally,the influence of varying the specific gas rate was investigated.The results show the variation in reducibility as a result of different interactions,which influence the rate-limiting mechanisms of nucleation and the undertaken chemical reactions,which vary as a function of temperature and degree of conversion.The apparent activation energies,determined from the reduction of wtistite to metallic iron,were in the range of 15-60 kJ/mol,depending on the iron ore used and the degree of conversion.The change in apparent activation energy deriving from the increased specific gas rate can be explained by an increasing nucleation effect,especially at lower reduction temperatures. | Daniel Spreitzer Johannes Schenk | 2020 | Particuology2020，18，5： | 2 |
| 9 | Concept and proof for an all-silicon MEMS micro speaker utilizing air chambers显示文摘MEMS-based micro speakers are attractive candidates as sound transducers for smart devices,particularly wearables and hearables.For such devices,high sound pressure levels,low harmonic distortion and low power consumption are required for industrial,consumer and medical applications.The ability to integrate with microelectronic circuitry,as well as scalable batch production to enable low unit costs,are the key factors benchmarking a technology.The Nanoscopic Electrostatic Drive based,novel micro speaker concept presented in this work essentially comprises inplane,electrostatic bending actuators,and uses the chip volume rather than the its surface for sound generation.We describe the principle,design,fabrication,and first characterization results.Various design options and governing equations are given and discussed.In a standard acoustical test setup(ear simulator),a MEMS micro speaker generated a sound pressure level of 69 dB at 500 Hz with a total harmonic distortion of 4.4%,thus proving the concept.Further potential on sound pressure as well as linearity improvement is outlined.We expect that the described methods can be used to enhance and design other MEMS devices and foster modeling and simulation approaches. | Bert Kaiser Sergiu Langa Lutz Ehrig Michael Stolz Hermann Schenk Holger Conrad Harald Schenk Klaus Schimmanz David Schuffenhauer | 2019 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2019，5，1： | 2 |
