Seismic tomography showing subduction and slab breakoff of the Yangtze block beneath the Dabie-Sulu orogenic belt显示文摘Seismic tomography reveals that a subducted ancient block has been preserved beneath the Moho of the Dabie-Sulu orogenic belt. Taking into account of geological and geochronological data, we inferred from the tomographic images that the Yangtze block was subducted northward beneath the Sino-Korean block and broken off at the depth <200 km during 200-190 Ma. The slab breakoff of the Yangtze block is the most important dynamic mechanism to control the exhumation of UHP rocks. | Peifen Xu Ruomei Sun Futian Liu Qingchen Wang Bolin Cong | 2000 | Chinese Science Bulletin2000,45,1: | 7
An antibody against Siglec-15 promotes bone formation and fracture healing by increasing TRAP^(+)mononuclear cells and PDGF-BB secretion显示文摘Osteoporosis(OP)is a common age-related disease characterized by a deterioration of bone mass and structure that predisposes patients to fragility fractures.Pharmaceutical therapies that promote anabolic bone formation in OP patients and OP-induced fracture are needed. We investigated whether a neutralizing antibody against Siglec-15 can simultaneously inhibit bone resorption and stimulate bone formation. We found that the multinucleation of osteoclasts was inhibited in SIGLEC-15 conditional knockout mice and mice undergoing Siglec-15 neutralizing antibody treatment. The secretion of platelet-derived growth factor-BB(PDGF-BB),the number of tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase-positive(TRAP+)mononuclear cells, and bone formation were significantly increased in the SIGLEC-15 conditional knockout mice and antibody-treated mice. The anabolic effect of the Siglec-15 neutralizing antibody on bone formation was blunted in mice with Pdgfb deleted in TRAP-1'cells.These findings showed that the anabolic effect of the Siglec-15 neutralizing antibody was mediated by elevating PDGF-BB production of TRAP4 mononuclear cells. To test the therapeutic potential of the Siglec-15 neutralizing antibody,we injected the antibody in an ovariectomy-induced osteoporotic mouse model, which mimics postmenopausal osteoporosis in women, and in two fracture healing models because fracture is the most serious health consequence of osteoporosis. The Siglec-15 neutralizing antibody effectively reduced bone resorption and stimulated bone formation in estrogen deficiency-induced osteoporosis.Of note, the Siglec-15 neutralizing antibody promoted intramembranous and endochondral ossification at the damaged area of cortical bone in fracture healing mouse models. Thus, the Siglec-15 neutralizing antibody shows significant translational potential as a novel therapy for OP and bone fracture. | Gehua Zhen Yang Dan Ruomei Wang Ce Dou Qiaoyue Guo Melissa Zarr Linda N.Liu Lieping Chen Ruoxian Deng Yusheng Li Zengwu Shao Xu Cao | 2021 | Bone Research2021,9,4: | 6
Measurement Study on Wind Characteristics of Typhoon Kalmaegi on the Sutong Bridge显示文摘The Sutong Bridge, a cable-stayed located in the southeast coastal area of China, is vulnerable to the Pacific typhoons. From the data measured by two 3D ultrasonic anemometers at the height of 76 m and 306 m, the wind characteristics (including 10-minute mean wind speed and direction, turbulence intensity and gust factor, power spectral density and integral scale of turbulence) of Typhoon Kalmaegi are analyzed The comparison of 10-minute mean wind velocity from the two anemometers validates the reliability of wind data. The turbulence intensities (Iu, Iv, and Iw) show the decreasing trend as the mean wind speed in-creases. The mean value of Iv/Iu is 0.94, while that of Iw/Iu is 0.90. Discrepancy exists between field-measured power spectra and code-suggested spectra. Those results can enlarge the wind database of the southeast coastal area of China, and provide references for wind resistance evaluation of the bridge. | HU Ruomei, WANG Hao, LI Aiqun School of Civil Engineering, Southeast University, Nanjing 210096, Jiangsu, China | 2010 | Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2010,15,2: | 2
Estimation of spectral responses and chlorophyll based on growth stage effects explored by machine learning methods显示文摘Estimation of leaf chlorophyll content(LCC) by proximal sensing is an important tool for photosynthesis evaluation in high-throughput phenotyping. The temporal variability of crop biochemical properties and canopy structure across different growth stages has great impacts on wheat LCC estimation, known as growth stage effects. It will result in the heterogeneity of crop canopy at different growth stages, which would mask subtle spectral response of biochemistry variations. This study aims to explore spectral responses on the growth stage effects and establish LCC models suited for different growth stages. A total number of 864 pairwise samples of wheat canopy spectra and LCC values with 216 observations of each stage were sampled at the tillering, jointing, booting and heading stages in 2021. Firstly, statistical analysis of LCC and spectral response presented different distribution traits and typical spectral variations peak at 470, 520 and 680 nm. Correlation analysis between LCC and reflectance showed typical red edge shifts. Secondly, the testing model of partial least square(PLS) established by the entire datasets to validate the predictive performance at each stage yielded poor LCC estimation accuracy. The spectral wavelengths of red edge(RE) and blue edge(BE) shifts and the poor estimation capability motivated us to further explore the growth stage effects by establishing LCC models at respective growth periods. Finally, competitive adaptive reweighted sampling PLS(CARS-PLS), decision tree(DT) and random forest(RF) were used to select sensitive bands and establish LCC models at specific stages. Bayes optimisation was used to tune the hyperparameters of DT and RF regression. The modelling results indicated that CARS-PLS and DT did not extract specific wavelengths that could decrease the influences of growth stage effects. From the RF out-of-bag(OOB) evaluation, the sensitive wavelengths displayed consistent spectral shifts from BE to GP and from RE to RV from tillering to heading stages. Compared with CARS-PLS and DT,results of RF modelling yielded an estimation accuracy with deviation to performance(RPD) of 2.11, 2.02,3.21 and 3.02, which can accommodate the growth stage effects. Thus, this study explores spectral response on growth stage effects and provides models for chlorophyll content estimation to satisfy the requirement of high-throughput phenotyping. | Dehua Gao Lang Qiao Lulu An Ruomei Zhao Hong Sun Minzan Li Weijie Tang Nan Wang | 2022 | The Crop Journal2022,10,5: | 2

A GIS-based analytical framework for evaluating the effect of COVID-19 on the restaurant industry with big data显示文摘COVID-19 cripples the restaurant industry as a crucial socioeconomic sector that contributes immensely to the global economy. However, what the current literature less explored is to quantify the effect of COVID-19 on restaurant visitation and revenue at different spatial scales,as well as its relationship with the neighborhood character-istics of customers’origins.Based on the Point of Interest(POI)measures derived from SafeGraph data providing mobility records of 45 million cell phone users in the US,our study takes Lower Manhattan,New York City,as the pilot study, and aims to examine 1)the change of restaurant visitations and revenue in the period prior to and after the COVID-19 outbreak,2)the areas where restaurant customers live, and 3)the association between the neighborhood characteristics of these areas and lost customers.By doing so,we provide a geographic information system-based analytical frame-work integrating the big data mining, web crawling techniques, and spatial-economic modelling. Our analytical framework can be implemented to estimate the broader effect of COVID-19 on other industries and can be augmented in a financially monitoring manner in response to future pandemics or public emergencies. | Siqin Wang Ruomei Wang Xiao Huang Zhenlong Li Shuming Bao | 2023 | Big Earth Data2023,7,1: | 1

Advances and prospects of triboelectric nanogenerator for self-powered system显示文摘Self-powered technology is a novel power supply technology. In recent years,self-powered intelligent products have attracted much interests.Triboelectric nanogenerators(TENGs)can convert mechanical energy into electrical energy by contact and relative motion, thus providing the possibility of self-powering for electronic equipments.However,TENG-based self-powered technologies are limited by low power output and poor conversion efficiency. In this review,we present the development of TENG-based self-powered systems, with the emphasis on the output power of TENG and how to improve it.Based on the above applications,we propose the idea of TENG-driven self-powered remote robots, providing promising scenarios of small remote robots for land rescue or underwater detection.Due to the limited power output of the current TENGs,there are still some difficulties in driving the robot.Aiming at the problems of low power supply and poor conversion efficiency,we introduce the current attempts to improve the power generation efficiency from the perspectives of mechanical structure, electrode materials and auxiliary tools. We also outline the applications of TENGs as power supply systems in various fields such as sensing, wearable devices, and collecting Marine energy. Finally,we forecast the development prospect of TENG. | Xuyao An Chunnan Wang Ruomei Shao Shuqing Suna | 2021 | International Journal of Smart and Nano Materials2021,12,3: | 0
