| 1 | TRIM29 prevents hepatocellular carcinoma progression by inhibiting Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway显示文摘TRIM29 plays an important role in many neoplasms.In this study,we aimed to elucidate its role in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and explore the corresponding potential mechanism.The expression level of TRIM29 in HCC samples and hepatoma cell lines was detected.We found that TRIM29 was down-regulated in clinical HCC samples and cultured hepatoma cell lines by western blot analysis and quantitative polymerase chain reaction.In addition,we demonstrated that higher TRIM29 expression was associated with higher differentiation grade of HCC.To explore the effect of TRIM29 on hepatoma cells and its possible mechanisms,TRIM29-knockdown and overexpression cell models were constructed.The results showed that the depletion of TRIM29 promoted liver cancer cell proliferation,clone formation,migration and invasion in vitro probably through the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway.This study revealed the inhibitory roles of TRIM29 in HCC and the possible mechanisms. | Mingxing Xu Jingxiong Hu Boxuan Zhou Yuesi Zhong Nan Lin Ruiyun Xu | 2019 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,1: | 9 |
| 2 | Efficient lung cancer-targeted drug delivery via a nanoparticle/MSC system显示文摘Low targeting efficiency limits the applications of nanoparticles in cancer therapy. The fact that mesenchymal stem cells(MSC) trapped in the lung after systemic infusion is a disadvantage for cell therapy purposes. Here, we utilized MSC as lung cancer-targeted drug delivery vehicles by loading nanoparticles(NP)with anti-cancer drug. MSC showed a higher drug intake capacity than fibroblasts. In addition, MSC showed predominant lung trapping in both rabbit and monkey. IR-780 dye, a fluorescent probe used to represent docetaxel(DTX) in NP, delivered via MSC accumulated in the lung. Both in vitro MSC/A549 cell experiments and in vivo MSC/lung cancer experiments validated the intercellular transportation of NP between MSC and cancer cells. In vivo assays showed that the MSC/NP/DTX drug delivery system exerted primary tumor inhibition efficiency similar to that of a NP/DTX drug system. | 3 | Fossil Liverworts from the Lower Cretaceous Huolinhe Formation in Inner Mongolia, China显示文摘A new genus and species, Rebouliothallus huolinhensis sp. nov., and two uncertain species, Ricciopsis sp. and Hepaticites sp., are described. The fossils were collected from the Lower Cretaceous Huolinhe Formation of Huolinhe Basin, northeastern China. The new genus Rebouliothallus was established in the Aytoniaceae family of Marchantiales. Rebouliothallus huolinhensis appears to be quite similar to species of the extant genus Reboulia Raddi. The species is characterized by the relatively large ventral scales. Ventral scales are large, imbricate and arranged in two rows on the ventral surface. Rhizoids are either pegged or smooth. Ricciopsis sp. is characterized by the rosetteforming thallus. Hepaticites sp. shows some similarities to liverworts. Of the forty-nine Early Cretaceous floras of China, only two floras, one from the Huolinhe basin, Inner Mongolia and the other from the Jixi Basin, Heilongjiang Province, contain fossil liverworts. | 8 | Phylotype resolved spatial variation and association patterns of planktonic Thaumarchaeota in eastern Chinese marginal seas显示文摘The majority of marine ammonia oxidizers belong to Thaumarchaeota,a phylum of Archaea,which is distributed throughout the water column.Marine surface waters contain distinct thaumarchaeotal phylotypes compared to the deeper ocean,but spatial dynamics of the surface-associated lineages are largely unsolved.This study of 120 seawater samples from the eastern Chinese marginal seas identifed contrasting distribution and association patterns among thaumarchaeotal phylotypes across diferent dimensions.Horizontally,Nitrosopumilus-like and Nitrosopelagicus-like phylotypes dominated the surface water(3 m)of the Yellow Sea(YS)and East China Sea(ECS),respectively,along with increased abundance of total free-living Thaumarchaeota in ECS.Similar compositional changes were observed in the surface microlayer.The spatial heterogeneity of particle-attached Thaumarchaeota was less clear in surface microlayers than in surface waters.Vertically,the Nitrosopelagicus-like phylotype increased in abundance from surface to 90 m in ECS,which led to an increase in the proportion of Thaumarchaeota relative to total prokaryotes.This occurred mainly in the free-living fraction.These results indicate a clear size-fractionated niche partitioning,which is more pronounced at lower depths than in the surface water/surface microlayer.In addition,associations of Thaumarchaeota with other microbial taxa varied between phylotypes and size fractions.Our results show that a phylotype-resolved and size-fractionated spatial heterogeneity of the thaumarchaeotal community is present in surface oceanic waters and a vertical variation of the Nitrosopelagicus-like phylotype is present in shallow shelf waters. | Jiwen Liu Fuyan Huang Jiao Liu Xiaoyue Liu Ruiyun Lin Xiaosong Zhong Brian Austin Xiao-Hua Zhang | 2023 | Marine Life Science & Technology2023,5,2: | 0 |
