1Atmospheric-pressure pulsed discharges and plasmas:mechanism,characteristics and applications显示文摘Pulsed discharge plasma and its application is one of the promising directions in civilian areas of pulsed power technology.In order to promote the research and development of the theory and application technology for pulsed discharge plasma,in this paper,recent progress on the mechanism of nanosecond-pulse gas discharge and the characteristics and applications of typical pulsed plasma at the Institute of Electrical Engineering,Chinese Academy of Sciences is reviewed.Firstly,progress on mechanism of nanosecond-pulse discharge based on runaway electrons and measurement technology of runaway electrons is introduced.Then,the characteristics of three typical discharges,including direct-driven pulsed discharge,pulsed dielectric barrier discharge and pulsed plasma jet,are reviewed.Furthermore,typical plasma applications of pulsed plasma on surface modification and methane conversion are presented.Tao Shao Ruixue Wang Cheng Zhang Ping Yan 2018High Voltage2018,3,1:10

9Oncogene Mdm2 takes part in hepatocarcinogenesis显示文摘Objective:To investigate the role of Mdm2 expression in hepatocellular carcinoma.Methods: Streptavidin-peroxidase conjugation method (SP)was used to observe the expression of Mdm2 and p53 proteins in 61 cases of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)and 59 cases of corresponding paracancerous tissues,among which p53 mutations in exons 5~8 were detected in 21 cases by PCR-SSCP.Results:Positive nuclear P53 and Mdm2 immunostains were demonstrated in 57.38% and 26.23% of HCC,1.69% and 3.39% of corresponding paracancerous tissues respectively.The expression of p53 and Mdm2 proteins in hepatocellular carcinoma was significantly higher than that in paracancerous tissues( P <0.01).The expression of P53 and Mdm2 was not significantly correlated.42.86% of hepatocellualr carcinomas showed mutations in exon 7 of p53 gene,and no mutation was found in exons 5,6,8 and paracancerous tissues. 66.67% of mutational cases had P53 overexpression and 11.11%(1/9)showed overexpression of both P53 and Mdm2,Mdm2 overexpression also appeared in 25% of cases without mutations.Conclusions:Mdm2-induced p53 inactivation and p53 gene mutation play an important role in carcinogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma.Tumorigenic property of Mdm2 itself,together with p53 mutation,may take part in hepatocarcinogenesis.Luo Yulin Cheng Ruixue 2001中国现代医学杂志2001,11,7:0
10A low-error calibration function for an electrostatic gas-solid flow meter obtained via machine learning techniques with experimental data显示文摘In this paper,modeling and machine learning with experimental data and a novel calibration function for a gas-solid flow sensor fusion are presented.Sensor fusion is the use of software that intelligently combines data from multiple sensors in order to improve overall system performance.This technique can be applied to measurement of mass flow rate of solids in a pipeline with non-intrusive electrostatic techniques.Data fusion from multiple heterogeneous/homogenous sensors can overcome the limitations of an individual sensor and measured variable.It is shown that the output voltage of a ring-shaped electrode is predominantly a function of solids mass flow rate and velocity for a flow of bulk solids in a pipeline,when particle size,properties and ambient conditions remain constant.By incorporating solids flow velocity in a proposed mathematical model(obtained via machine learning),meter output voltage could be predicted with superior accuracy,for wide range of different flow pa-rameters from numerous experiments with a pneumatic conveying system.Transposing the model yields a new calibration function which,when deployed in signal processing software,enables accurate mass flow measure-ment with velocity compensation.The described method also de-necessitates determination of air solids ratio or solids volumetric concentration,thereby enabling simplification of the overall measurement system whilst yielding higher accuracy than calibration methods from previous studies.Accurate flow measurement facilitates enhanced monitoring and controllability of blast furnaces,power stations,chemical reactors,process plants etc.where there are bulk solids flows in pipelines.Optimization of such highly materially consumptive and energy intensive processes can yield significant reductions in waste and emissions(CO 2,NOx)and increased efficiencies in global production of energy and materials.Andrew J.Kidd Jianyong Zhang Ruixue Cheng 2020Energy and Built Environment2020,1,2:0
11Sex-biased single-cell genetic landscape in mice with autism spectrum disorder显示文摘Autistic spectrum disorder(ASD)is a male-biased,heterogeneous neurodevelopmental disorder that affects approximately 1%e2%of the population.Prenatal exposure to valproic acid(VPA)is a recognized risk factor for ASD,but the cellular and molecular basis of VPA-induced ASD at the single-cell resolution is unclear.Here,we aim to compare the cellular and molecular differences in the hippocampus between male and female prenatal mice with ASD at the single-cell transcriptomic level.The transcriptomes of more than 45,000 cells are assigned to 12 major cell types,including neurons,glial cells,vascular cells,and immune cells.Cell type-specific genes with altered expression after prenatal VPA exposure are analyzed,and the largest number of differentially expressed genes(DEGs)are found in neurons,choroid plexus epithelial cells,and microglia.In microglia,several pathways related to inflammation are found in both males and females,including the tumor necrosis factor(TNF),nuclear factor kappa B(NF-kB),toll-like receptor(TLR),and mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)signaling pathways,which are important for the induction of autistic-like behavior.Additionally,we note that several X-linked genes,including Bex1,Bex3,and Gria3,were among the male-specific DEGs of neurons.This pioneering study describes the landscape of the transcriptome in the hippocampus of autistic mice.The elucidation of sexual differences could provide innovative strategies for the prevention and treatment of ASD.Qian Zhang Yongjie Wang Jie Tao Ruixue Xia Yijie Zhang Zhirui Liu Jiwei Cheng 2024Journal of Genetics and Genomics2024,51,3:0
12Correlating the fluctuated growth of carbon nanotubes with catalyst evolution by atmospheric-pressure environmental transmission electron microscopy显示文摘Rate-controlled growth of carbon nanotubes(CNTs)and catalyst design are considered efficient ways for the preparation of CNTs with specific structures and properties.However,due to the difficulties in capturing the growth process of the CNTs with tiny size under a complex growth environment,the growth kinetics of CNTs and their correlation with the catalyst seed have been seldom revealed.Here,we investigated the growth process of CNTs from Ni nanoparticles(NPs)in real-time under atmospheric pressure using transmission electron microscopy equipped with a closed gas cell.It was found that the growth rates of CNTs fluctuated,and a phase transition from Ni_(3)C to Ni,and a reshaping of the catalyst NPs occurred during the growth process.We demonstrated that CNTs dynamically interacted with the connected catalyst NPs and the fluctuated growth rates of CNTs were correlated with the structure change of catalyst NPs.The origin of the growth rate fluctuation is attributed to the change of carbon concentration gradient in catalyst NPs.Rui-Hong Xie Lili Zhang Ruixue Ma Xin-Yu Jiao Dai-Ming Tang Chang Liu Hui-Ming Cheng 2023Nano Research2023,16,11:0
13Classification of ice and water in the Arctic using radar altimeter and microwave radiometer data from HY-2B satellite显示文摘Several Chinese marine satellites have been launched in recent years.Monitoring sea ice and the ocean in the Arctic is of great importance for climate research.Sea ice in the Arctic has changed rapidly during the past few decades with respect to the extent and thickness.In this study,we applied combined passive and active microwave data from the Chinese HaiYang-2B(HY-2B)satellite to classify ice and sea water in the Arctic.We use data from a radar altimeter(RA)and a calibration microwave radiometer(CMR)to discriminate between ice and water by applying several approaches(1)the single parameter threshold criteria,(2)the multi-parameters linear segmentations and(3)the K-means clustering.The results yielded by these methods were in good agreement(classification accuracy>95%)with the Satellite Application Facility on Ocean and Sea Ice products between November and April.For other months(May–October),however,the agreement was less good(lowest classification accuracy approximate 85%in summer).A hybrid approach combined with graphical ice edges detection and microwave radar waveform analysis is therefore developed.A visual comparison with SAR images suggested the hybrid approach results greatly improved the ice and water discrimination in summer.This study demonstrated that multi-sensors(RA and CMR)configurations from HY satellites can offer comparable polar earth observation to the European Space Agency and NOAA satellite products.Chengfei Jiang Mingsen Lin Ruixue Cao Hao Wei Lijian Shi Bin Cheng Yongjun Jia Qimao Wang 2023Acta Oceanologica Sinica2023,42,5:0
14An Idea of Extracting Fresh Water from the Atmosphere显示文摘Based on principles of vapor coagulation,a method of extracting fresh water from the atmosphere was put forward. 15Excitonic devices based on two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides van der Waals heterostructures显示文摘Excitonic devices are an emerging class of technology that utilizes excitons as carriers for encoding, transmitting, and storing information. Van der Waals heterostructures based on transition metal dichalcogenides often exhibit a type II band alignment, which facilitates the generation of interlayer excitons. As a bonded pair of electrons and holes in the separation layer, interlayer excitons offer the chance to investigate exciton transport due to their intrinsic out-of-plane dipole moment and extended exciton lifetime. Furthermore, interlayer excitons can potentially analyze other encoding strategies for information processing beyond the conventional utilization of spin and charge. The review provided valuable insights and recommendations for researchers studying interlayer excitonic devices within van der Waals heterostructures based on transition metal dichalcogenides. Firstly, we provide an overview of the essential attributes of transition metal dichalcogenide materials, focusing on their fundamental properties, excitonic effects, and the distinctive features exhibited by interlayer excitons in van der Waals heterostructures. Subsequently, this discourse emphasizes the recent advancements in interlayer excitonic devices founded on van der Waals heterostructures, with specific attention is given to the utilization of valley electronics for information processing, employing the valley index. 16Effectiveness of pharmacogenomics on the response and remission of treatment-resistant depression: a metaanalysis of randomised controlled trials显示文摘Background Pharmacogenomics(PGx)is a promising tool to realise tailored drug therapy for depression.Aims To investigate the treatment efficacy of PGxfor treatment-resistant depression(TRD)compared with treatmentas usual.Methods A systematic search was conducted in PubMed,Embase,the Cochrane Library,Web of Science and PsyclNFO to identify relevant studies published from inception to 15 April 2023.Two-arm randomised controlled trials(RCTs)exploring the efficacy of PGx-guided versus unguided treatment for TRD were included.The risk of bias in the included studies was evaluated using the Cochrane risk of bias assessment tool.The overall quality of evidence was assessed using the Grading of Recommendations,Assessment,Development and Evaluation(GRADE)approach.Results Seven RCTs(n=3003)comparing PGx-guided(n=1492)and unguided(n=1511)groups were identified and analysed.PGx-guided treatment was superior to treatment as usual in response(relative risk(RR)=1.31;95%confidence interval(95%Cl):1.15 to 1.49;p<0.001)and remission(RR=1.40;95%Cl:1.09 to 1.80;p=0.009)improvements.Effect sizes for acceptability(RR=0.90;95%Cl:0.80 to 1.02;p=0.100)and side effect burden(RR=0.58;95%Cl:0.29 to 1.15;p=0.120)between the two groups were not statistically different.The overall quality of evidence was rated from'very low'(25%)to low'(75%)based on the GRADE criteria.Conclusions PGx-guided treatment has shown a small overall effect in improving the response and remission rates for patients with TRD.However,these results should be interpreted cautiously because of the few included studies and the low quality of evidence.Further high-quality clinical trials are warranted to confirm the findings.Yu Cheng Hongmei Liu Ruixue Yuan Kai Yuan Shunying Yu 2023General Psychiatry2023,36,6:0
17G protein-coupled receptor 35 attenuates nonalcoholic steatohepatitis by reprogramming cholesterol homeostasis in hepatocytes显示文摘Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is the most common chronic liver disease worldwide.Fat accumulation“sensitizes”the liver to insult and leads to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH).G protein-coupled receptor 35(GPR35)is involved in metabolic stresses,but its role in NAFLD is unknown.We report that hepatocyte GPR35 mitigates NASH by regulating hepatic cholesterol homeostasis.Specifically,we found that GPR35 overexpression in hepatocytes protected against high-fat/cholesterol/fructose(HFCF)diet-induced steatohepatitis,whereas loss of GPR35 had the opposite effect.Administration of the GPR35 agonist kynurenic acid(Kyna)suppressed HFCF diet-induced steatohepatitis in mice.Kyna/GPR35 induced expression of StAR-related lipid transfer protein 4(STARD4)through the ERK1/2 signaling pathway,ultimately resulting in hepatic cholesterol esterification and bile acid synthesis(BAS).The overexpression of STARD4 increased the expression of the BAS rate-limiting enzymes cytochrome P450 family 7 subfamily A member 1(CYP7A1)and CYP8B1,promoting the conversion of cholesterol to bile acid.The protective effect induced by GPR35 overexpression in hepatocytes disappeared in hepatocyte STARD4-knockdown mice.STARD4 overexpression in hepatocytes reversed the aggravation of HFCF diet-induced steatohepatitis caused by the loss of GPR35 expression in hepatocytes in mice.Our findings indicate that the GPR35–STARD4 axis is a promising therapeutic target for NAFLD.Xiaoli Wei Fan Yin Miaomiao Wu Qianqian Xie Xueqin Zhao Cheng Zhu Ruiqian Xie Chongqing Chen Menghua Liu Xueying Wang Ruixue Ren Guijie Kang Chenwen Zhu Jingjing Cong Hua Wang Xuefu Wang 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,3:0
