| 1 | Natural history of cytomegalovirus infection in a series of patients diagnosed with moderate-severe ulcerative colitis显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the natural history of human cytomegalovirus(HCMV) infection in a series of 28 ulcerative colitis patients in whom the search for HCMV was positive.METHODS:A series of 85 patients with moderate-severe ulcerative colitis flare-up were evaluated for a HCMV search by performing a haematoxylin and eosin stain,immunohistochemical assay and nested polymerase chain reaction on rectal biopsies.Among 85 screened patients(19 of whom were steroid resistant/dependant),28 were positive for HCMV;after remission the patients were followed up clinically and histologically.RESULTS:Among the 22 patients with complete followup,in 8(36%) patients HCMV-DNA persisted in the intestinal specimens.Among the HCMV positive patients,4(50%) experienced at least one moderate-severe flare-up of colitis without evidence of peripheral HCMV.Among the 14 HCMV negative patients,3 with pouches developed pouchitis and 5 out of 11(45%) experienced a colitis flare-up.CONCLUSION:Our preliminary results suggest that HCMV may remain in the colon after an acute colitis flareup despite remission;it seems that the virus is not responsible for the disease relapse. | Valeria Criscuoli Maria Rosa Rizzuto Luigi Montalbano Elena Gallo Mario Cottone | 2011 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2011，17，5： | 20 |
| 2 | Neo-adjuvant chemo(radio)therapy in gastric cancer: Current status and future perspectives显示文摘In the last 20 years, several clinical trials on neoadjuvant chemotherapy and chemo-radiotherapy as a therapeutic approach for locally advanced gastric cancer have been performed. Even if more data are necessary to define the roles of these approaches, the results of preoperative treatments in the combined treatment of gastric adenocarcinoma are encouraging because this approach has led to a higher rate of curative surgical resection. Owing to the results of most recent randomized phase III studies, neoadjuvant chemotherapy for locally advanced resectable gastric cancer has satisfied the determination of level I evidence. Remaining concerns pertain to the choice of the optimal therapy regimen, strict patient selection by accurate pre-operative staging, standardization of surgical procedures, and valid criteria for response evaluation. | 4 | 基于海上作业数据的船用柴油机排放模型验证显示文摘In this study,a model is developed to simulate the dynamics of an internal combustion engine,and it is calibrated and validated against reliable experimental data,making it a tool that can effectively be adopted to conduct emission predictions.In this work,the Ricardo WAVE software is applied to the simulation of a particular marine diesel engine,a four-stroke engine used in the maritime field.Results from the bench tests are used for the calibration of the model.Finally,the calibration of the model and its validation with full-scale data measured at sea are presented.The prediction includes not only the classic engine operating parameters for a comparison with surveys but also an estimate of nitrogen oxide emissions,which are compared with similar results obtained with emission factors.The calibration of the model made it possible to obtain an overlap between the simulation results and real data with an average error of approximately 7%on power,torque,and consumption.The model provides encouraging results,suggesting further applications,such as in the study on transient conditions,coupling of the engine model with the ship model for a complete simulation of the operating conditions,and optimization studies on consumption and emissions.The availability of the emission data during the sea trial and validated simulation results are the strengths and novelties of this work. | Luigia Mocerino CGuedes Soares Enrico Rizzuto Flavio Balsamo Franco Quaranta | 2021 | Journal of Marine Science and Application2021，20，3： | 4 |
