5Subchronic Oral Toxicity of Pyridostigmine Bromide in Rats显示文摘This study evaluated the oral toxicity of pyridostigmine bromide in Sprague-Dawley rats when administered for 13 weeks by daily gavage. Groups of 10 rats/sex received doses of 0, 5, 15, 30, or 60 mg/kg/day. Toxicity was limited to exaggerated cholinergic stimulation at doses of 15 mg/kg/day or greater. Significant findings included tremors and inhibition of RBC acetylcholinesterase. 10High-throughput screening of hypothetical metal-organic frameworks for thermal conductivity显示文摘Thermal energy management in metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)is an important,yet often neglected,challenge for many adsorption-based applications such as gas storage and separations.Despite its importance,there is insufficient understanding of the structure-property relationships governing thermal transport in MOFs.To provide a data-driven perspective into these relationships,here we perform large-scale computational screening of thermal conductivity k in MOFs,leveraging classical molecular dynamics simulations and 10,194 hypothetical MOFs created using the ToBaCCo 3.0 code.We found that high thermal conductivity in MOFs is favored by high densities(>1.0 g cm^(−3)),small pores(<10Å),and four-connected metal nodes.We also found that 36 MOFs exhibit ultra-low thermal conductivity(<0.02 W m^(−1) K^(−1)),which is primarily due to having extremely large pores(~65Å).Furthermore,we discovered six hypothetical MOFs with very high thermal conductivity(>10 W m^(−1) K^(−1)),the structures of which we describe in additional detail.Meiirbek Islamov Hasan Babaei Ryther Anderson Kutay B.Sezginel Jeffrey R.Long Alan J.H.McGaughey Diego A.Gomez-Gualdron Christopher E.Wilmer 2023npj Computational Materials2023,,1:1

12Cryogel scaffolds: soft and easy to use tools for neural tissue culture显示文摘The mammalian central nervous system(CNS)is highly complex,with a vast array of processes and interactions occurring in a dynamic and often transient manner.How these processes are combined to regulate our behavior remains poorly understood.This has in turn led to a lack of understanding of how these processes have gone awry in the many disorders of the nervous system.In order to address this,researchers need a controlled way to manipulate the nervous system in in vitro and ex vivo cultures,in both a specific area and for a specific period of time to start to pick apart these interactions.To date,this has been technically challenging,especially when modeling focal injury to the CNS or when working with human brain tissue.Ben Newland Katherine R.Long 2022Neural Regeneration Research2022,17,9:0
