1Hyperbaric oxygen therapy improves cognitive functioning after brain injury显示文摘Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has been widely applied and recognized in the treatment of brain injury;however,the correlation between the protective effect of hyperbaric oxygen therapy and changes of metabolites in the brain remains unclear.To investigate the effect and potential mechanism of hyperbaric oxygen therapy on cognitive functioning in rats,we established traumatic brain injury models using Feeney’s free falling method.We treated rat models with hyperbaric oxygen therapy at 0.2 MPa for 60 minutes per day.The Morris water maze test for spatial navigation showed that the average escape latency was significantly prolonged and cognitive function decreased in rats with brain injury.After treatment with hyperbaric oxygen therapy for 1 and 2 weeks,the rats’spatial learning and memory abilities were improved.Hydrogen proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy analysis showed that the N-acetylaspartate/creatine ratio in the hippocampal CA3 region was significantly increased at 1 week,and the N-acetylaspartate/choline ratio was significantly increased at2 weeks after hyperbaric oxygen therapy.Nissl staining and immunohistochemical staining showed that the number of nerve cells and Nissl bodies in the hippocampal CA3 region was significantly increased,and glial fibrillary acidic protein positive cells were decreased after a 2-week hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatment.Our findings indicate that hyperbaric oxygen therapy significantly improves cognitive functioning in rats with traumatic brain injury,and the potential mechanism is mediated by metabolic changes and nerve cell restoration in the hippocampal CA3 region.Su Liu Guangyu Shen Shukun Deng Xiubin Wang Qinfeng Wu Aisong Guo 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,35:16
2Optimization of Stocking Density for the Sea Cucumber, Apostichopus japonicus Selenka, Under Feed-Supplement and Non-Feed-Supplement Regimes in Pond Culture显示文摘Optimal stocking densities were investigated for the sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus Selenka under feed-supplement and non-feed-supplement regimes in net enclosures for 333 d. Substantial weight loss occurred during the aestivation phase (AE). Decreased growth rates were also observed during the winter phase (WT). In contrast, sea cucumbers showed rapid growth during the spring (SP) and autumn (AU) phases. Feeding regimes considerably influenced the growth performance, i.e., sea cucumbers grew faster under feed-supplement regime than under non-feed-supplement regime (P < 0.05). The average survival rates of sea cucumbers under feed-supplement regime were higher than those under non-feed-supplement regime for both the autumn phase and spring phase, but the differences were only significant for the latter phase (P < 0.05). 3Seasonal Changes in Food Uptake by the Sea Cucumber Apostichopus japonicus in a Farm Pond: Evidence from C and N Stable Isotopes显示文摘This study investigated the seasonal changes in carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) stable isotope values of several typical food sources of Apostichopus japonicus in a farm pond, including particulate organic matter (POM), macroalgae, benthic microalgae and animals such as nematode and copepod. The stable isotope technique was used to quantify relative contributions of various sources to the food uptake by A. japonicus. The results showed that significant changes occurred in the C and N stable isotope values of sea cucumber food sources due to the seasonality of micro-or macroalgae prosperity and the fluctuation of environmental conditions. The sea cucumber A. japonicus exhibited corresponding alterations in feeding strategy in response to the changes in food conditions. Calculation with a stable isotope mixing model showed that macroalgae was the principal food source for A. japonicus throughout the 1-yr investigation, with the relative contribution averaging 28.1% - 63.2%. The relative contributions of other food sources such as copepod and nematode, POM, benthic microalgae to the total food uptake by sea cucumber averaged 22.6% - 39.1%, 6.3% - 22.2%, 2.8% - 6.5%, and 2.8% - 4.2%, respectively. Together these results indicated that the seasonal changes in food sources led to the obvious temporal differences in the relative contribution of various food sources utilized by A. japonicus. 5Influence of torrefaction pretreatment on biomass gasification technology显示文摘Torrefaction is a slow pyrolysis process that is carried out in the relatively low temperature range of 220-300°C.The influence of torrefaction as a pretreatment on biomass gasification technology was investigated using a bench-scale torrefaction unit,a bench-scale laminar entrained-flow gasifier,and the analysis techniques TGA-FTIR and low temperature nitrogen adsorption.A series of experiments were performed to examine the characteristics of the torrefaction process,the properties of torrefaction products,and the effects of torrefaction on gas composition,cold gas efficiency and gasification efficiency.The results showed that during the torrefaction process the moisture content of biomass were reduced,and the wood fiber structure of the material was destroyed.This was beneficial to storage,transport and subsequent treatments of biomass in large scale.For solid products,torrefaction increased the energy density,decreased the oxygen/carbon ratio,and created a more complex pore structure.These improved the syngas quality and cold gas efficiency.Combustible gases accounted for about 50% of non-condensable gaseous torrefaction products.Effective use of the torrefaction gases can save energy and improve efficiency.Overall,biomass torrefaction technology has good application prospects in gasification processes.CHEN Qing ZHOU JinSong LIU BingJun MEI QinFeng LUO ZhongYang 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,14:6

7Individual Variation in Growth in Sea Cucumber Apostichopus japonicus(Selenck) Housed Individually显示文摘The exceptionally large individual growth variation has been previously recognized in several sea cucumber cohorts.However,there is a lack of information regarding the mechanism of such individual differences.In this study,the sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus(Selenka) was reared individually in order to eliminate possible effects of social interaction,stocking density,etc.The results showed that there were substantial differences in growth among the sea cucumber individuals during the 100-day experiment.The special growth rate of the sea cucumber individuals differed by up to three folds(from 0.40% to 1.01%),and the coefficient of variation in body weight increased from 12.04% to 40.51%.The final wet body weight,food intake and food conversion efficiency for each sea cucumber were generally positively correlated with their initial wet body weight(P<0.05).Energy budget of the animals showed that the food energy spent on respiration was much greater(about four folds) but energy deposited for growth was much less for(initially) smaller than for larger A.japonicus.The present result implies that there are obvious genetic differences among the sea cucumber individuals,largely accounting for the individual growth variation of the cohort sea cucumber.These results will provide some basic data for promoting selective breeding and farming of the sea cucumber.LIANG Miao DONG Shuanglin GAO Qinfeng WANG Fang TIAN Xiangli 2010Journal of Ocean University of China2010,9,3:5
8Effects of wing flexibility on aerodynamic performance of an aircraft model显示文摘The low-speed wind tunnel experiment is carried out on a simplified aircraft model to explore the influence of wing flexibility on the aircraft aerodynamic performance.The investigation involves the measurements of force,membrane deformation and velocity field at Reynolds number of 5.4×10^(4)-1.1×10^(5).In the lift curves,two peaks are observed.The first peak,corresponding to the stall,is sensitive to the wing flexibility much more than the second peak,which nearly keeps constant.For the optimal case,in comparison with the rigid wing model,the delayed stall of nearly5°is achieved,and the relative lift increment is about 90%.It is revealed that the lift enhanced region corresponds to the larger deformation and stronger vibration,which leads to stronger flow mixing near the flexible wing surface.Thereby,the leading-edge separation is suppressed,and the aerodynamic performance is improved significantly.Furthermore,the effects of sweep angle and Reynolds number on the aerodynamic characteristics of flexible wing are also presented.Qinfeng GUO Xi HE Zhuo WANG Jinjun WANG 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,9:4

10A study of specific interaction of the transcription factor and the DNA element by atomic force microscopy显示文摘Atomic force microscopy (AFM) was employed to quantitatively detect the interaction between a transcription factor, ZmDREBIA, and its target DNA sequence (DRE).The specificity of the interaction was revealed by comparing the binding probability of ZmDREBIA to DRE element with core sequence ACCGAC and to the ERE element with core sequence AGCCGCC. 11DNA Barcoding and Mini-DNA Barcoding Reveal Mislabeling of Salmonids in Different Distribution Channels in the Qingdao Area显示文摘There is an increasing demand for salmonid authentication due to the globalization of the salmonid trade.DNA barcoding and mini-DNA barcoding are widely used for identifying fish species based on a fragment of the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I(COI)sequence.In this study,rainbow trout(Oncorhynchus mykiss),steelhead trout(O.mykiss),and Atlantic salmon(Salmo salar)collected from two salmonid aquaculture bases in China were authenticated by DNA barcoding(about 650 bp)and mini-DNA barcoding(127 bp)to evaluate the accuracy of the two methods in the identification of different salmonid species.The results revealed that both methods could effectively distinguish O.mykiss and S.salar with 100%accuracy.However,the two methods failed to separate rainbow trout(O.mykiss)and steelhead trout(O.mykiss),which are the same species but cultured in different water environments.Moreover,salmonid samples from three main distribution channels in the Qingdao area(traditional supermarkets,online supermarkets,and sushi bars)were identified by the two methods.Substitution of S.salar with O.mykiss was discovered,and the 27.78%overall substitution rate of salmonids in the Qingdao area was higher than those in other regions reported in previous studies.In addition,the mislabeling rates of salmonids from traditional supermarkets,online supermarkets,and sushi bars were compared in this study.The mislabeling rate was significantly greater in sushi bars(50%)than in the other two channels(16.67%),suggesting that stronger monitoring and enforcement measures are necessary for the aquatic food catering industry.HAN Cui DONG Shuanglin LI Li GAO Qinfeng ZHOU Yangen 2021Journal of Ocean University of China2021,20,6:3
12Protective electrode/electrolyte interphases for high energy lithium-ion batteries with p-toluenesulfonyl fluoride electrolyte additive显示文摘High energy density lithium-ion batteries using Ni-rich cathode(such as LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2) suffer from severe capacity decay.P-toluenesulfonyl fluoride(pTSF) has been investigated as a novel film-forming electrolyte additive to enhance the cycling performances of graphite/LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2 pouch cell.In comparison with the baseline electrolyte,a small dose of pTSF can significantly improve the cyclic stability of the cell.Theoretical calculations together with experimental results indicate that pTSF would be oxidized and reduced to construct protective interphase film on the surfaces of LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2 cathode and graphite anode,respectively.These S-containing surface films derived from pTSF effectively mitigate the decomposition of electrolyte,reduce the interphasial impedance,as well as prevent the dissolution of transition metal ions from Ni-rich cathode upon cycling at high voltage.This finding is beneficial for the practical application of high energy density graphite/LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2 cells.Yanxia Che Xiuyi Lin Lidan Xing Xiongcong Guan Rude Guo Guangyuan Lan Qinfeng Zheng Wenguang Zhang Weishan Li 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,1:3
13Sustainability Evaluation of Different Systems for Sea Cucumber(Apostichopus japonicus) Farming Based on Emergy Theory显示文摘Emergy analysis is effective for analyzing ecological economic systems. However, the accuracy of the approach is affected by the diversity of economic level, meteorological and hydrological parameters in different regions. The present study evaluated the economic benefits, environmental impact, and sustainability of indoor, semi-intensive and extensive farming systems of sea cucumber(Apostichopus japonicus) in the same region. The results showed that A. japonicus indoor farming system was high in input and output(yield) whereas pond extensive farming system was low in input and output. The output/input ratio of indoor farming system was lower than that of pond extensive farming system, and the output/input ratio of semi-intensive farming system fell in between them. The environmental loading ratio of A. japonicus extensive farming system was lower than that of indoor farming system. In addition, the emergy yield and emergy exchange ratios, and emergy sustainability and emergy indexes for sustainable development were higher in extensive farming system than those in indoor farming system. These results indicated that the current extensive farming system exerted fewer negative influences on the environment, made more efficient use of available resources, and met more sustainable development requirements than the indoor farming system. A. japonicus farming systems showed more emergy benefits than fish farming systems. 14Reactive Inorganic Vapor Deposition of Perovskite Oxynitride Films for Solar Energy Conversion显示文摘The synthesis of perovskite oxynitrides,which are promising photoanode candidates for solar energy conversion,is normally accomplished by high-temperature ammonolysis of oxides and carbonate precursors,thus making the deposition of their planar films onto conductive substrates challenging.Here,we proposed a facile strategy to prepare a series of perovskite oxynitride films.Taking SrTaO_(2)N as a prototype,we prepared SrTaO_(2)N films on Ta foils under NH_(3) flow by utilizing the vaporized SrCl_(2)/SrCO_(3) eutectic salt.The SrTaO_(2)N films exhibit solar water-splitting photocurrents of 3.0 mA cm^(-2) at 1.23 V vs.RHE(reversible hydrogen electrode),which increases by 270%compared to the highest photocurrent(1.1 mA cm^(-2) at 1.23 V vs.RHE)of SrTaO_(2)N reported in the literature.This strategy may also be applied to directly prepare a series of perovskite oxynitride films on conductive substrates such as ATaO_(2)N(A=Ca,Ba)and ANbO_(2)N(A=Sr,Ba).Tao Fang Huiting Huang Jianyong Feng Yingfei Hu Qinfeng Qian Shicheng Yan Zhentao Yu Zhaosheng Li Zhigang Zou 2019Research2019,,1:2

18Nitrogen and Phosphorus Budget of a Polyculture System of Sea Cucumber(Apostichopus japonicus), Jellyfish(Rhopilema esculenta) and Shrimp(Fenneropenaeus chinensis)显示文摘The nitrogen(N) and phosphorus(P) budget and the ecological efficiency of a polyculture system of sea cucumber(Apostichopus japonicus), jellyfish(Rhopilema esculenta) and shrimp(Fenneropenaeus chinensis) were studied in a cofferdam, 120.2 ha in size. The nutrients were supplied by spring tide inflow. In total, 139600 kg N yr-1 and 9730 kg P yr-1 input to the system; while 118900 kg N yr-1 and 2840 kg P yr-1 outflowed from the system concurrently, thus the outflow was 85.7%(N) and 29.2%(P) of inflow. The production of N and P was 889.5 kg yr-1 and 49.28 kg yr-1(sea cucumber) and 204 kg yr-1 and 18.03 kg yr-1(jellyfish and shrimp), respectively. The utilization rate of N and P by polycultured animals was 7.8‰ and 6.9‰, respectively, 21.9% and 38% higher than that of monocultured sea cucumber. Our results indicated that the polyculture system was an efficient culture system of animals and a remediation system of coastal environment as well; it scavenged 14.3% and 70.8% of N and P, respectively.
