| 1 | Mesoporous silica nanoparticles for drug and gene delivery显示文摘Mesoporous silica nanoparticles(MSNs) are attracting increasing interest for potential biomedical applications. With tailored mesoporous structure, huge surface area and pore volume,selective surface functionality, as well as morphology control, MSNs exhibit high loading capacity for therapeutic agents and controlled release properties if modified with stimuli-responsive groups, polymers or proteins. In this review article, the applications of MSNs in pharmaceutics to improve drug bioavailability, reduce drug toxicity, and deliver with cellular targetability are summarized. | 2 | Lifetime prediction based on Gamma processes from accelerated degradation data显示文摘Accelerated degradation test is a useful approach to predict the product lifetime at the normal use stress level, especially for highly reliable products. Two kinds of the lifetime prediction based on Gamma processes were studied. One was to predict the lifetime of the population from accelerated degradation data, and the other was to predict the lifetime of an individual by taking the accelerated degradation data as prior information. For an extensive application, the Gamma process with a time transformation and random effects was considered. A novel contribution is that a deducing method for determining the relationships between the shape and scale parameters of Gamma processes and accelerated stresses was presented. When predicting the lifetime of an individual, Bayesian inference methods were adopted to improve the prediction accuracy, in which the conjugate prior distribution and the non-conjugate prior distribution of random parameters were studied. The conjugate prior distribution only considers the random effect of the scale parameter while the non-conjugate prior distribution considers the random effects of both the scale and shape parameter. | 7 | Electrochemical synthesis of silver nanoparticles-coated gold nanoporous film electrode and its application to amperometric detection for trace Cr(VI)显示文摘A simple and rapid approach for the electrochemical synthesis of Ag nanoparticles-coated gold nanoporous film (AgGNF) on a gold substrate was reported. The solid gold electrode (SGE) was directly anodized under a high potential of 5 V, and then reduced to obtain gold nanoporous film (AuNF) by freshly prepared ascorbic acid. The Ag nanoparticles (AgNPs) were grown on the AuNF electrode by potential-step electrodeposition. The resulting AgGNF composites electrodes were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry (CV). As-prepared AgGNF electrode was used as a kind of superior sensor for Cr(VI) detection, which exhibited better electrocatalytic behavior than those of AuNF and SGE under identical conditions. Such a designed AgGNF nanocomposites electrode showed outstanding sensitivity (about 0.15 nA/ppb) and favorable reproducibility for Cr(VI) detection. The dependence of reduction current on Cr(VI) concentration is linear from 2 to 370 ppb with a low detection limit of 0.65 ppb. Interferences from other heavy metals ions (Cr3+, Cu2+, Pb2+, As3+ and Hg2+) associated with Cr(VI) analysis could be effectively diminished. | 9 | An integrated chemical mass balance and source emission inventory model for the source apportionment of PM2.5 in typical coastal areas显示文摘The source apportionment of PM2.5 is essential for pollution prevention.In view of the weaknesses of individual models,we proposed an integrated chemical mass balancesource emission inventory(CMB-SEI)model to acquire more accurate results.First,the SEI of secondary component precursors(SO2,NOx,NH3,and VOCs)was compiled to acquire the emission ratios of these sources for the precursors.Then,a regular CMB simulation was executed to obtain the contributions of primary particle sources and secondary components(SO4^2-,NO3^-3,NH4^+,and SOC).Afterwards,the contributions of secondary components were apportioned into primary sources according to the source emission ratios.The final source apportionment results combined the contributions of primary sources by CMB and SEI.This integrated approach was carried out via a case study of three coastal cities(Zhoushan,Taizhou,and Wenzhou;abbreviated WZ,TZ,and ZS)in Zhejiang Province,China.The regular CMB simulation results showed that PM2.5 pollution was mainly affected by secondary components and mobile sources.The SEI results indicated that electricity,industrial production and mobile sources were the largest contributors to the emission of PM2.5 gaseous precursors.The simulation results of the CMB-SEI model showed that PM2.5 pollution in the coastal areas of Zhejiang Province presented complex pollution characteristics dominated by mobile sources,electricity production sources and industrial production sources.Compared to the results of the CMB and SEI models alone,the CMB-SEI model completely apportioned PM2.5 to primary sources and simultaneously made the results more accurate and reliable in accordance with local industrial characteristics. | Nana Cheng Cheng Zhang Deji Jing Wei Li Tianjiao Guo Qiaoli Wang Sujing Li | 2020 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,6: | 8 |
| 10 | Isolation,Characterization,and Phylogenetic Analysis of Two New Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever Virus Strains from the Northern Region of Xinjiang Province,China显示文摘Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever(CCHF)caused by the CCHF virus(CCHFV)is a tick-borne natural focal disease with a mortality rate of approximately 50%.CCHFV is widely prevalent in Africa,southern Asia,the Middle East,and southeast Europe.CCHF outbreaks have been reported previously in Xinjiang province,China,especially in its southern region.Epidemiological surveys conducted on ticks and animals have revealed the presence of CCHFV strains in ticks,rodents,and infected individuals from cities and counties in southern Xinjiang.Phylogenetic analyses revealed that the Chinese CCHFV strains belong to one genotype,based on complete sequences of the S segments of its negative-stranded RNA genome.The present study reports two new CCHFV strains isolated from Hyalomma asiaticum asiaticum ticks collected from Fukang City and Wujiaqu City in the northern region of Xinjiang.Viral characteristics and their evolutionary relationships were analyzed through metagenomic and reverse-transcription PCR analyses;these analyses indicated that the genotype of both strains was different from that of other Chinese strains.Furthermore,previous reports of CCHFV in Xinjiang were reviewed and phylogenetic analyses were performed.CCHFV was found to prevail in Fukang City in Junggar Basin for more than 20 years,and that Fukang City and Wujiaqu City are considered natural reservoirs of different genotypes of CCHFV strains.Our findings facilitate the understanding of CCHFV distribution in Xinjiang province and provide insights into the evolutionary relationships among Chinese CCHFV strains. | Yanfang Zhang Shu Shen Yaohui Fang Jinliang Liu Zhengyuan Su Jinhao Liang Zhong Zhang Qiaoli Wu Cheng Wang Abulikemu Abudurexiti Zhihong Hu Yujiang Zhang Fei Deng | 2018 | Virologica Sinica2018,33,1: | 8 |

| 15 | Substrate stiffness modulates bone marrow-derived macrophage polarization through NF-κB signaling pathway显示文摘The stiffness of the extracellular matrix(ECM)plays an important role in regulating the cellular programming.However,the mechanical characteristics of ECM affecting cell differentiation are still under investigated.Herein,we aimed to study the effect of ECM substrate stiffness on macrophage polarization.We prepared polyacrylamide hydrogels with different substrate stiffness,respectively.After the hydrogels were confirmed to have a good biocompatibility,the bone marrow-derived macrophages(BMMs)from mice were incubated on the hydrogels.With simulated by the low substrate stiffness,BMMs displayed an enhanced expression of CD86 on the cell surface and production of reactive oxygen species(ROS)in cells,and secreted more IL-1βand TNF-αin the supernatant.On the contrary,stressed by the medium stiffness,BMMs expressed more CD206,produced less ROS,and secreted more IL-4 and TGF-β.In vivo study by delivered the hydrogels subcutaneously in mice,more CD68+CD86+cells around the hydrogels with the low substrate stiffness were observed while more CD68+CD206+cells near by the middle stiffness hydrogels.In addition,the expressions of NIK,phosphorylated p65(pi-p65)and phosphorylated IκB(pi-IκB)were significantly increased after stimulation with low stiffness in BMMs.Taken together,these findings demonstrated that substrate stiffness could affect macrophages polarization.Low substrate stiffness promoted BMMs to shift to classically activated macrophages(M1)and the middle one to alternatively activated macrophages(M2),through modulating ROS-initiated NF-κB pathway.Therefore,we anticipated ECM-based substrate stiffness with immune modulation would be under consideration in the clinical applications if necessary. | Mimi Chen Yu Zhang Pinghui Zhou Xingzhi Liu Huan Zhao Xichao Zhou Qiaoli Gu Bin Li Xuesong Zhu Qin Shi | 2020 | Bioactive Materials2020,5,4: | 7 |
| 16 | Identification of QTL and candidate genes involved in early seedling growth in rice via high-density genetic mapping and RNA-seq显示文摘Early seedling vigor(ESV)is a major breeding target in rice,especially under direct seeding.To identify quantitative trait locus(QTL)affecting ESV,a recombinant inbred line population derived from a cross between 02428 and YZX,two cultivars differing in vigor during early seedling growth,was used for QTL analysis.Nine traits associated with ESV were examined using a high-density map.Of 16 additive loci identified,three were detected in two generations and thus considered stable.Four epistatic interactions were detected,one of which was repeated in two generations.Further analysis of the pyramiding effect of the three stable QTL showed that the phenotypic value could be effectively improved with an increasing number of QTL.These results were combined with results from our previous QTL analysis of the germination index.The lines G58 and G182 combined all the favourable alleles of all three stable QTL for ESV and three QTL for germination speed.These two lines showed rapid germination and strong ESV.A total of 37 candidate differentially expressed genes were obtained from the regions of the three stable QTL by analysis of the dynamic transcriptomic expression profile during the seedling growth period of the two parents.The QTL are targets for ESV breeding and the candidate genes await functional validation.This study provides a theoretical basis and a genetic resource for the breeding of directseeded rice. | Jing Yang Zhenhua Guo Lixin Luo Qiaoli Gao Wuming Xiao Jiafeng Wang Hui Wang Zhiqiang Chen Tao Guo | 2021 | The Crop Journal2021,9,2: | 6 |
| 17 | Effect of Er-Xian decoction(二仙汤) on autoimmune premature ovarian failure in mice显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the therapeutic effect of Er-Xian decoction(二仙汤,EXD)on the autoimmune premature ovarian failure(POF)in mice,and its regulatory mechanisms.METHODS:Female BALB mice were treated with a single intraperitoneal injection of zona pellucida 3(ZP3).One week later,mice received low(5 g/kg),moderate(10 g/kg)and high(20 g/kg)doses of EXD by gastrogavage once daily for 90 d.Premarin(0.03 mg/kg)served as the positive control group.Serum levels of estradiol(E2),follicle stimulating hormone(FSH)and luteinizing hormone(LH)were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,lymphocyte subtypes were analyzed,and follicular structure differences were observed by hematoxylin andeosin staining.The main mechanisms of POF was investigated by immunohistochemical analysis.RESULTS:Serum E2 levels in POF model mice were decreased,whereas FSH and LH levels were dramatically increased.Serum levels of LH and FSH were reduced in POF model mice treated with EXD(moderate and high doses)and premarin,while serum level of E2 were increased after POF model mice had been treated with EXD and premarin.The CD3+T,CD4+T,CD4+T/CD8+T ratio of mice in the positive control group and high and medium dose groups of EXD increased(P<0.05),and the number of CD8+T cells decreased significantly(P<0.05)when compared with the model group.Bone morphogenetic protein 15(BMP15)and Akt were repressed in autoimmune POF model mice,whereas high expression was observed in control mice and those treated with EXD(moderate and high doses)and premarin.CONCLUSION:EXD is effective in treating ZP3-induced POF in mice and increased expression of BMP-15,and Akt is represented in the mechanism accounting for this therapeutic effect. | ZHANG Xiaoli LI Jing ZHOU Xiaolin CHEN Qiaoli | 2021 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,5: | 6 |

| 19 | Characterization and immunogenicity of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells under osteoporotic conditions显示文摘Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)are characterized by their multilineage potential and low immunogenicity.However,the properties of MSCs under pathological conditions are unclear.The current study investigated the differentiation potential and immunological characteristics of bone marrow-derived MSCs from ovariectomized-osteoporotic rats(OP-BMSCs).Although the expression of cell morphology-and stemness-related surface markers was similar between OP-BMSCs and BMSCs from healthy rats(H-BMSCs),the proliferation rate was significantly decreased compared with that of H-BMSCs.Regarding multilineage potential,osteogenesis and chondrogenesis abilities of OP-BMSCs decreased,but the adipogenesis ability was significantly enhanced compared with that of H-BMSCs.As expected,decreased osteogenesis following osteogenic induction resulted in reduced expression ofβ-catenin,osteocalcin,and runt-related transcription factor 2 in OP-BMSCs.Remarkably,the expression of the co-stimulatory proteins CD40 and CD80 was significantly higher,whereas the expression of the negative costimulatory molecule programmed cell death ligand 1 was significantly lower in the OP-BMSCs than that in H-BMSCs.Consequently,H-BMSCs inhibited the proliferation and secretion of inflammatory cytokines from anti-CD3 antibody-activated T cells,whereas OP-BMSCs did not.These results indicate that decreased osteogenesis and increased immunogenicity of OPBMSCs contribute to bone loss in osteoporosis. | Yingkang Huang Yin Yin Yanzheng Gu Qiaoli Gu Huilin Yang Zhengyu Zhou Qin Shi | 2020 | Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,3: | 4 |
| 20 | All-fiber passively mode-locked laser using nonlinear multimode interference of step-index multimode fiber显示文摘We experimentally demonstrate for the first time, to the best of our knowledge, an all-fiber passively mode-locked laser operation based on the nonlinear multimode interference of step-index multimode fiber. Such a structure couples the light in and out of the multimode fiber via single-mode fibers, and its physical mechanisms for saturable absorption have been analyzed theoretically based on the third-order nonlinear Kerr effect of multimode fiber. Using the nonlinear multimode interference structure with 48.8 mm length step-index multimode fiber, the modulation depth has been measured to be ~5%. The passively mode-locked laser output pulses have a central wavelength of 1596.66 nm, bandwidth of 2.18 nm, pulsewidth of ~625 fs, and fundamental repetition rate of8.726 MHz.
