1Cybersecurity Named Entity Recognition Using Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory with Conditional Random Fields显示文摘Network texts have become important carriers of cybersecurity information on the Internet.These texts include the latest security events such as vulnerability exploitations,attack discoveries,advanced persistent threats,and so on.Extracting cybersecurity entities from these unstructured texts is a critical and fundamental task in many cybersecurity applications.However,most Named Entity Recognition(NER)models are suitable only for general fields,and there has been little research focusing on cybersecurity entity extraction in the security domain.To this end,in this paper,we propose a novel cybersecurity entity identification model based on Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory with Conditional Random Fields(Bi-LSTM with CRF)to extract security-related concepts and entities from unstructured text.This model,which we have named XBi LSTM-CRF,consists of a word-embedding layer,a bidirectional LSTM layer,and a CRF layer,and concatenates X input with bidirectional LSTM output.Via extensive experiments on an open-source dataset containing an office security bulletin,security blogs,and the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures list,we demonstrate that XBi LSTM-CRF achieves better cybersecurity entity extraction than state-of-the-art models.Pingchuan Ma Bo Jiang Zhigang Lu Ning Li Zhengwei Jiang 2021Tsinghua Science and Technology2021,26,3:9
2Rotated neighbor learning-based auto-configured evolutionary algorithm显示文摘More and more evolutionary operators have been integrated and manually configured together to solve a wider range of problems. Considering the very limited progress made on the automatic configuration of evolutionary algorithms(EAs), a rotated neighbor learning-based auto-configured evolutionary algorithm(RNLACEA) is presented. In this framework, multiple EAs are combined as candidates and automatically screened for different scenarios with a rotated neighbor structure. According to a ranking record and a group of constraints,the algorithms can be better scheduled to improve the searching efficiency and accelerate the searching pace.Experimental studies based on 14 classical EAs and 22 typical benchmark problems demonstrate that RNLACEA outperforms other six representative auto-adaptive EAs and has high scalability and robustness in solving different kinds of numerical optimization problems.Yuanjun LAILI Lin ZHANG Fei TAO Pingchuan MA 2016Science China(Information Sciences)2016,59,5:1

5Near-field terahertz nonlinear optics with blue light显示文摘The coupling of terahertz optical techniques to scattering-type scanning near-field microscopy(s-SNOM)has recently emerged as a valuable new paradigm for probing the properties of semiconductors and other materials on the nanoscale.Researchers have demonstrated a family of related techniques,including terahertz nanoscopy(elastic scattering,based on linear optics),time-resolved methods,and nanoscale terahertz emission spectroscopy.However,as with nearly all examples of s-SNOM since the technique’s inception in the mid-1990s,the wavelength of the optical source coupled to the near-field tip is long,usually at energies of 2.5 eV or less.Challenges in coupling of shorter wavelengths(i.e.,blue light)to the nanotip has greatly inhibited the study of nanoscale phenomena in wide bandgap materials such as Si and GaN.Here,we describe the first experimental demonstration of s-SNOM using blue light.With femtosecond pulses at 410 nm,we generate terahertz pulses directly from bulk silicon,spatially resolved with nanoscale resolution,and show that these signals provide spectroscopic information that cannot be obtained using near-infrared excitation.We develop a new theoretical framework to account for this nonlinear interaction,which enables accurate extraction of material parameters.This work establishes a new realm of possibilities for the study of technologically relevant wide-bandgap materials using s-SNOM methods.Angela Pizzuto Pingchuan Ma Daniel M.Mittleman 2023Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,5:0
6Influences of DRA and non-DRA vision on the visual responses of locusts stimulated by linearly polarized and unpolarized lights显示文摘Locust and grasshopper plagues pose a serious threat to crop production in many areas worldwide.However,there is a lack of effective,quick-acting methods to control such outbreaks.Methods exploiting the phototactic response of these insects are receiving increasing attention.The current study investigated the effect of linearly polarized and unpolarized light on locust phototactic and polarotactic responses,in particular the function of their dorsal rim area(DRA)and non-DRA visual fields.The results showed that the polarotactic function weight of DRA vision was stimulated by linearly polarized ultraviolet(UV)and violet light,the phototactic function weight was induced by blue,green,and orange light,and under linearly polarized light,the functional effect of DRA vision was strongest in response to linearly polarized violet light.Moreover,the locust visual response effect was related to spectral light attributes,with the linear polarization effect intensifying in response to the short-range vision sensitivity of non-DRA visual fields,whereas DRA vision regulated the short-range sensitivity of compound eye vision.When illumination increased,the synergistic enhancement effects of linearly polarized ultraviolet and violet light were significant,whereas the visual sensitivity was restricted significantly by linearly polarized blue,green,or orange light.Thus,non-DRA vision determined,while DRA vision enhanced,the phototactic response sensitivity,whereas,in linearly polarized UV or violet light,non-DRA vision determined,while DRA vision enhanced,the visual trend and polarotaxic aggregation sensitivity,with opposite effects in linearly polarized blue,green,or orange light.When illumination increased,there was a driving effect caused by linearly polarized violet light on non-DRA vision,whereas at short-wave lengths,the control effect induced by linearly polarized orange light was optimal;however,the photo-induced effect of linearly polarized violet light and the visual distance control effect of linearly polarized orange light were optimal.These results provide theoretical support for the photo-induced mechanism of the locust visual response effect and for the development of linearly polarized light sources for the environmentally friendly prevention and control of locust populations.Shengguang Zou Tao Liu Yicheng Ma Pingchuan Zhang Qihang Liu 2023International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,3:0
