1Virtual reality training improves balance function显示文摘Virtual reality is a new technology that simulates a three-dimensional virtual world on a computer and enables the generation of visual, audio, and haptic feedback for the full immersion of users. Users can interact with and observe objects in three-dimensional visual space without limitation. At present, virtual reality training has been widely used in rehabilitation therapy for balance dysfunction. This paper summarizes related articles and other articles suggesting that virtual reality training can improve balance dysfunction in patients after neurological diseases. When patients perform virtual reality training, the prefrontal, parietal cortical areas and other motor cortical networks are activated. These activations may be involved in the reconstruction of neurons in the cerebral cortex. Growing evidence from clinical studies reveals that virtual reality training improves the neurological function of patients with spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy and other neurological impairments. 2Global Dynamic Characteristic of Nonlinear Torsional Vibration System under Harmonically Excitation显示文摘Torsional vibration generally causes serious instability and damage problems in many rotating machinery parts.The global dynamic characteristic of nonlinear torsional vibration system with nonlinear rigidity and nonlinear friction force is investigated.On the basis of the generalized dissipation Lagrange's equation, the dynamics equation of nonlinear torsional vibration system is deduced.The bifurcation and chaotic motion in the system subjected to an external harmonic excitation is studied by theoretical analysis and numerical simulation.The stability of unperturbed system is analyzed by using the stability theory of equilibrium positions of Hamiltonian systems.The criterion of existence of chaos phenomena under a periodic perturbation is given by means of Melnikov's method.It is shown that the existence of homoclinic and heteroclinic orbits in the unperturbed system implies chaos arising from breaking of homoclinic or heteroclinic orbits under perturbation.The validity of the result is checked numerically.Periodic doubling bifurcation route to chaos, quasi-periodic route to chaos, intermittency route to chaos are found to occur due to the amplitude varying in some range.The evolution of system dynamic responses is demonstrated in detail by Poincare maps and bifurcation diagrams when the system undergoes a sequence of periodic doubling or quasi-periodic bifurcations to chaos.The conclusion can provide reference for deeply researching the dynamic behavior of mechanical drive systems.SHI Peiming LIU Bin HOU Dongxiao 2009Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2009,22,1:15
3Direct assimilation of satellite radiance data in GRAPES variational assimilation system显示文摘Variational method is capable of dealing with observations that have a complicated nonlinear relation with model variables representative of the atmospheric state, and so make it possible to directly assimilate such measured variables as satellite radiance, which have a nonlinear relation with the model variables. Assimilation of any type of observations requires a corresponding observation operator, which establishes a specific mapping from the space of the model state to the space of observation. This paper presents in detail how the direct assimilation of real satellite radiance data is implemented in the GRAPES-3DVar analysis system. It focuses on all the components of the observation operator for direct assimilation of real satellite radiance data, including a spatial interpolation operator that transforms variables from model grid points to observation locations, a physical transformation from model variables to observed elements with different choices of model variables, and a data quality control. Assimilation experiments, using satellite radiances such as NOAA17 AMSU-A and AMSU-B (Advanced Microwave Sounding Unit), are carried out with two different schemes. 4Analysis of flame spread over aviation kerosene显示文摘Flame spread behaviors and temperature rise of fuel surface were experimentally investigated. A series of tests on aviation kerosene pool fires were conducted by using the schlieren image system, micro-thermocouple and infrared thermal imager. The velocity evolutions of flame spread and surface flow under different initial fuel temperatures were discussed. 5Relationship among Photosys-tem Ⅱ carbonic anhydrase,extrinsic polypeptides and manganese cluster显示文摘Effects of Photosystem Ⅱ (PS Ⅱ) extrinsic polypeptides of oxygen-evolving complex and manganese clusters on PS Ⅱ carbonic anhydrase (CA) were studied with spinach PS Ⅱ membranes. The result supported that membrane-bound CA is located in the donor side of PS Ⅱ. The extrinsic polypeptides played an important role of maintaining CA activity. After removing manganese clusters, oxygen evolution activity was inhibited, but PSⅡ-CA activity was unchanged. 7Placement Optimization for UAV-Enabled Wireless Networks with Multi-Hop Backhauls显示文摘Unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)have emerged as a promising solution to provide wireless data access for ground users in various applications(e.g.,in emergency situations).This paper considers a UAVenabled wireless network,in which multiple UAVs are deployed as aerial base stations to serve users distributed on the ground.Different from prior works that ignore UAVs’backhaul connections,we practically consider that these UAVs are connected to the core network through a ground gateway node via rate-limited multi-hop wireless backhauls.We also consider that the air-to-ground access links from UAVs to users and the air-to-air backhaul links among UAVs are operated over orthogonal frequency bands.Under this setup,we aim to maximize the common(or minimum)throughput among all the ground users in the downlink of this network subject to the flow conservation constraints at the UAVs,by optimizing the UAVs’deployment locations,jointly with the bandwidth and power allocation of both the access and backhaul links.However,the common throughput maximization is a non-convex optimization problem that is difficult to be solved optimally.To tackle this issue,we use the techniques of alternating optimization and successive convex programming to obtain a locally optimal solution.Numerical results show that the proposed design significantly improves the common throughput among all ground users as compared to other benchmark schemes.Peiming Li Jie Xu 2018Journal of Communications and Information Networks2018,3,4:2
8Geochemical characteristics of Carboniferous volcanic rocks from the Wulungu-Luliang area, Junggar basin: constraints on magma source and tectonic setting显示文摘The Carboniferous volcanic rocks in the Wulungu-Luliang area are mainly andesites of medium- to high-K calc-alkalic series. Volcanic rock samples have relatively high alkali(Na2O + K2 O = 4.7 % to 6.8 %) and low Ti O2contents(0.7 % to 0.9 %), relatively high Mg O(2.5 % to 3.4 %) and Mg#(49.9 % to 67.1 %), high rare earth element(REE) contents, and relatively high K2 O contents(1.7 % to 3.1 %). Chondrite-normalized REE patterns show light REE enrichment((La/Yb)N= 4.15 to 5.19)with weak Eu anomalies(d Eu = 0.75 to 0.92). These samples are enriched in large-ion lithophile elements but relatively depleted in high field strength elements. The trace elements and REE patterns are similar to those of Setouchi and central Ryukyu high-Mg andesites, indicating a highMg andesite source. Relatively high Y contents(16.7 to24.4 ppm), and relatively low Sr/Y ratios(17.2 to 38.8) and Ti O2contents(0.7 % to 0.9 %) exclude the possibility of slab melting. Low Sr/Nd(16.6 to 42.8), Ba/Th(66.4 to266.8), and U/Th(0.2 to 0.3) indicate that the influence of slab-derived fluids is low. The ratios of Ce/Th(4.9–7.3), Ce/Pb(1.8–4.2), Ba/Rb(7.99–22.03), Ba/Th(66.4–266.8), and La/Sm(3.6–4.3) are similar to ratios found in subducting sediment melts. Relatively high ratios of K/Nb(1357–3258),Th/La(0.28–0.42), Zr/Nb(8.8–27.1), and especially Th/Nb(0.48–1.25) suggest that the magma was assimilated and contaminated by upper continental crust. These characteristics, along with the ratios of La/Yb, Sc/Ni, Th/Yb, Ta/Yb,Ce/P2O5, and Zr/Ti O2, demonstrate that the earlier Carboniferous volcanic rocks in the Wulungu-Luliang area were generated in a continental island-arc setting.Wei Liu Kuihua Zhang Guanlong Zhang Peiming Zhou Qizhi Wang 2015Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2015,34,4:2
9Retrieval of Oceanic Total Precipitable Water Vapor and Cloud Liquid Water from Fengyun-3D Microwave Sounding Instruments显示文摘Fengyun-3 D(FY-3 D) satellite is the latest polar-orbiting meteorological satellite launched by China and carries 10 instruments onboard. Its microwave temperature sounder(MWTS) and microwave humidity sounder(MWHS) can acquire a total of 28 channels of brightness temperatures, providing rich information for profiling atmospheric temperature and moisture. However, due to a lack of two important frequencies at 23.8 and 31.4 GHz, it is difficult to retrieve the total precipitable water vapor(TPW) and cloud liquid water path(CLW) from FY-3 D microwave sounder data as commonly done for other microwave sounding instruments. Using the channel similarity between Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership(NPP) advanced technology microwave sounder(ATMS) and FY-3 D microwave sounding instruments, a machine learning(ML) technique is used to generate the two missing low-frequency channels of MWTS and MWHS. Then, a new dataset named as combined microwave sounder(CMWS) is obtained,which has the same channel setting as ATMS but the spatial resolution is consistent with MWTS. A statistical inversion method is adopted to retrieve TPW and CLW over oceans from the FY-3 D CMWS. The intercomparison between different satellites shows that the inversion products of FY-3 D CMWS and Suomi NPP ATMS have good consistency in magnitude and distribution.
