| 1 | Development of separation sharpness model for hydrocyclone显示文摘Hydrocyclones are mechanical devices used in classifying and separating many different types of materials.A classification function of the hydrocyclone has been continually developed for solid–liquid separation. In the classification process of solids from liquids,it is desirable to reduce the amount of misplaced material;therefore, the separation sharpness,α(alpha),is a parameter that helps in evaluating misplaced material and has been developed as a model to help the designer predict the performance of the classification. However, the problem with the separation sharpness model is that it cannot be used outside the range of conditions under which it was developed. Therefore, this research aimed to develop the separation sharpness model to predict more accurately and cover a wide range of conditions using the multiple linear regression method. The new regression model of separation sharpness was based on a wide range of both experimental and industrial data-sets of 431 tests collaborating with the additional experiments of 117 tests that were obtained from a total of 548 tests. The new model of separation sharpness can be used in the range of 30–762 mm hydrocyclone body diameters and feed solid concentrations in the range of 0.5 wt%–80 wt%.When compared with the experimental separation sharpness, the accuracy of the separation sharpness model prediction has an error of 4.53%and^of 0.973. | Pakpoom Supachart Thanit Swasdisevi Pratarn Wongsarivej Mana Amornkitbamrung Naris Pratinthong | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,3: | 3 |

| 6 | Synthesis and catalytic performance of bimetallic NiMo-and NiW-ZSM-5/MCM-41 composites for production of liquid biofuels显示文摘This work presents a synthesis of bimetallic NiMo and NiW modified ZSM-5/MCM-41 composites and their heterogeneous catalytic conversion of crude palm oil( CPO) to biofuels. The ZSM-5/MCM-41 composites were synthesized through a self-assembly of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide( CTAB) surfactant with silica-alumina from ZSM-5 zeolite, prepared from natural kaolin by the hydrothermal technique. Subsequently, the synthesized composites were deposited with bimetallic NiMo and NiW by impregnation method. The obtained catalysts presented a micro-mesoporous structure, confirmed by XRD,SEM,TEM,EDX,NH_3-TPD,XRF and N_2 adsorption-desorption measurements. The results of CPO conversion demonstrate that the catalytic activity of the synthesized catalysts decreases in the series of NiMo-ZSM-5/MCM-41 > NiW-ZSM-5/MCM-41 > Ni-ZSM-5/MCM-41 > Mo-ZSM-5/MCM-41 > W-ZSM-5/MCM-41 > NiMo-ZSM-5 > NiW-ZSM-5 > ZSM-5/MCM-41 > ZSM-5 > MCM-41. It was found that the bimetallic NiMo-and NiW-ZSM-5/MCM-41 catalysts give higher yields of liquid hydrocarbons than other catalysts at a given conversion. Types of hydrocarbon in liquid products, identified by simulated distillation gas chromatography-flame ionization detector( SimDis GC-FID),are gasoline( 150-200 ℃; C5-12),kerosene( 250-300 ℃; C5-20) and diesel( 350 ℃; C7-20).Moreover,the conversion of CPO to biofuel products using the NiMo-and NiW-ZSM-5/MCM-41 catalysts offers no statistically significant difference( P> 0.05) at 95% confidence level, evaluated by SPSS analysis. | Maliwan Subsadsana Pitsanuphong Kham-or Pakpoom Sangdara Pirom Suwannasom Chalerm Ruangviriyachai | 2017 | 燃料化学学报2017,45,7: | 0 |
| 7 | An integrative approach to enhancing small-scale poultry slaughterhouses by addressing regulations and food safety in northern -Thailand显示文摘Background:In Asian countries,small-scale rural poultry meat production can face challenges due to food safety policies that limit economic growth and hinder improvement of sanitation and disease prevention. In this study,an integrative, participatory research approach was used to elucidate the sanitation and disease prevention practices in small-scale poultry slaughterhouses in rural northern Thailand. Methods:Initial steps included the identification of key stakeholders associated with the meat production chain, development of a research framework, and design of a methodology based on stakeholder consultations. The framework and methodology combine issues in five major areas:(1)public health,(2)socioeconomics,(3)policy,(4)veterinary medicine,and(5)communities and the environment. Methods used include questionnaires, direct observation, focus groups, and in-depth interviews. In addition,a microbiological risk assessment approach was employed to detect Salmonella contamination in meat processing facilities. The microbial risk assessment was combined with stakeholder perceptions to provide an overview of the existing situation,as well as to identify opportunities for upgrading slaughterhouses in order to more effectively address matters of food safety, processing, and government licensing. Results:The conceptual framework developed elucidated the complex factors limiting small-scale slaughterhouse improvement including a lack of appropriate enabling policies and an apparent absence of feasible interventions for improvement.Unhygienic slaughterhouse management was reflected in the incidence of Salmonella contamination in both the meat and the surrounding environment. Conclusion:There is potential for the use of an integrative approach to address critical problems at the interface of rural development and public health. The findings of this study could serve as a model for transdisciplinary studies and interventions related to other similar complex challenges. | Suwit Chotinun Suvichai Rojanasthien Fred Unger Manat Suwan Pakpoom Tadee Prapas Patchanee | 2014 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2014,3,1: | 0 |
