1Satellite lithium-ion battery remaining useful life estimation with an iterative updated RVM fused with the KF algorithm显示文摘Lithium-ion batteries have become the third-generation space batteries and are widely utilized in a series of spacecraft.Remaining Useful Life(RUL) estimation is essential to a spacecraft as the battery is a critical part and determines the lifetime and reliability.The Relevance Vector Machine(RVM) is a data-driven algorithm used to estimate a battery's RUL due to its sparse feature and uncertainty management capability.Especially, some of the regressive cases indicate that the RVM can obtain a better short-term prediction performance rather than long-term prediction.As a nonlinear kernel learning algorithm, the coefficient matrix and relevance vectors are fixed once the RVM training is conducted.Moreover, the RVM can be simply influenced by the noise with the training data.Thus, this work proposes an iterative updated approach to improve the long-term prediction performance for a battery's RUL prediction.Firstly, when a new estimator is output by the RVM, the Kalman filter is applied to optimize this estimator with a physical degradation model.Then, this optimized estimator is added into the training set as an on-line sample, the RVM model is re-trained, and the coefficient matrix and relevance vectors can be dynamically adjusted to make next iterative prediction.Experimental results with a commercial battery test data set and a satellite battery data set both indicate that the proposed method can achieve a better performance for RUL estimation.Yuchen SONG Datong LIU Yandong HOU Jinxiang YU Yu PENG 2018Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2018,31,1:29

3Morphologic characteristics and growth interface stability of nano-micron FeS_2 whiskers显示文摘Micromorphology is further studied on the basis of our previous researches concerned with the nano-micron FeS2 whisker. There are obvious differences in the intensive degree, diameter and micromorphology among the FeS2 whiskers growing in different stages. From the early to late stage, the intensive degree increases, the diameter decreases, and the surface micro-morphology changes following the regularity: protrusive nodulation → coarse → smooth → flat. According to the theory of crystal growth, the geological setting and processes of whisker formation, we discuss the stability and evolution of crystal growth interface of FeS2 whisker occurring in Gengzhuang gold deposit (Shanxi Province, China). The results suggest that the negative temperature gradient and the supercooling appear in the early stage of the whisker growth, whereas the positive temperature gradient of reposeful state appears in the late stage. In the whisker growth stage, the component concentration changes through the three stages: severely nonhomogeneous in the early stage, relatively homogeneous in the middle stage, more homogeneous in the late stage. The general changing process of the interfacial state is from unstable to stable. Micromorphology of FeS2 whisker in Gengzhuang is the result of synergism of temperature, component concentration and stability of crystal interface phase in hydrothermal system. 4Insights into the mechanism of the deterioration of mainstream partial nitritation/anammox under low residual ammonium显示文摘Residual ammonium is a critical parameter affecting the stability of mainstream partial nitritation/anammox(PN/A), but the underlying mechanism remains unclear. In this study,mainstream PN/A was established and operated with progressively decreasing residual ammonium. PN/A deteriorated as the residual ammonium decreased to below 5 mg/L, and this was paralleled by a significant loss in anammox activity in situ and an increasing nitrite oxidation rate. Further analysis revealed that the low-ammonium condition directly decreased anammox activity in situ via two distinct mechanisms. First, anammox bacteria were located in the inner layer of the granular sludge, and thus were disadvantageous when competing for ammonium with ammonium-oxidizing bacteria(AOB) in the outer layer. Second, the complete ammonia oxidizer(comammox) was enriched at low residual ammonium concentrations because of its high ammonium affinity. Both AOB and comammox presented kinetic advantages over anammox bacteria. At high residual ammonium concentrations,nitrite-oxidizing bacteria(NOB) were effectively suppressed, even when their maximum activity was high due to competition for nitrite with anammox bacteria. At low residual ammonium concentrations, the decrease in anammox activity in situ led to an increase in nitrite availability for nitrite oxidation, facilitating the activation of NOB despite the dissolved oxygen limitation(0.15–0.35 mg/L) for NOB persisting throughout the operation. Therefore, the deterioration of mainstream PN/A at low residual ammonium was primarily triggered by a decline in anammox activity in situ. 6Division and correlation of Yixian Formation in western Liaoning,China显示文摘The Yixian Formation is a series of volcanic-sedimentary rocks in Biepiao area of Liaoning Province. It is mainly composed of basic and intermediate-basic volcanic lava,pyroclasts and terrestrial sedimentary rocks. Based on the regularity of volcanic activity,the Yixian Formation was divided by the present authors into four members in ascending order:the first member is of basal conglomerate,basic and intermediate-basic volcanic rocks; the second member is of lake phrase sedimentary rocks,or in another word,precious fossil-rich sedimentary beds; the third is of basic volcanic rocks; and the fourth is of upper conglomerate. Field mapping and comprehensive study also indicate that there are abundant vertebrate fossils (mainly of Psittacosaurus) in the first member of the Yixian Formation,and the Jehol Biota (including Sinosauropterxy,Confuciusorns sanctus,Archaefructus,etc.) is yielded in the second member of Yixian Formation. 7Large valley-polarized state in single-layer NbX2 (X=S,Se):Theoretical prediction显示文摘Exploring two-dimensional valleytronic crystals with large valley-polarized state is of considerable importance due to the promising applications in next-generation information related devices.Here,we show first-principles evidence that single-layer NbX_(2)(X=S,Se)is potentially the long-sought two-dimensional valleytronic crystal.Specifically,the valley-polarized state is found to occur spontaneously in single-layer NbX_(2),without needing any external tuning,which arises from their intrinsic magnetic exchange interaction and inversion asymmetry.Moreover,the strong spin-orbit coupling strength within Nb-d orbitals renders their valley-polarized states being of remarkably large(NbS_(2)∼156 meV/NbSe_(2)∼219 meV),enabling practical utilization of their valley physics accessible.In additional,it is predicted that the valley physics(i.e.,anomalous valley Hall effect)in single-layer NbX_(2) is switchable via applying moderate strain.These findings make single-layer NbX_(2) tantalizing candidates for realizing high-performance and controllable valleytronic devices.Yanmei Zang Yandong Ma Rui Peng Hao Wang Baibiao Huang Ying Dai 2021Nano Research2021,14,3:0
8Calculation Method for Commutation Failure Fault Level in LCC-HVDC System Under Single-line-to-ground Faults Considering DC Current Variation显示文摘Earlier studies have reported some calculation methods for commutation failure fault level(CFFL) in line-commutated-converter based high-voltage direct current(LCCHVDC) system under single-line-to-ground(SLG) faults. The accuracy of earlier methods is limited because they only consider the commutating voltage drop and phase shift, while neglecting the DC current variation. Hence, this paper proposes a CFFL calculation method under SLG faults considering DC current variation, for better planning and designing of LCC-HVDC systems. First, the fault commutating voltage magnitude and phase shift are calculated. Then, the fault DC voltage during different commutation processes is deduced. Based on the commutating voltage magnitude and phase shift, and DC voltage during different commutation processes under SLG faults, the characteristics of CFFL with different fault time are demonstrated and analyzed. Next, the transient time-domain response of the DC current after the fault is obtained based on the DC transmission line model. Discrete commutation processes are constructed based on the commutation voltage-time area rule to solve the extinction angle under different fault levels and fault time. Finally, the CFFL is calculated considering the fault time, commutating voltage drop, phase shift, and DC current variation. 9Texture Evolution in Heavily Cold-Rolled FeCo-2V Alloy during Annealing显示文摘The recrystallization texture evolution in heavily cold-rolled (93%) FeCo-2V alloy with annealing temperature and time was investigated by X-ray diffraction and electron backscatter diffraction. It was found that the orientation density of α-fiber texture component fluctuates with increasing annealing temperature and time. The transmission electron microscopy images show that abundant precipitates appear inside the recrystallized grains and around the grain boundaries. The amount and size of the precipitates also vary with annealing temperature and time. The enhancement of the α-fiber coincides well with the increase of number density of fine precipitates, indicating that the fine precipitates facilitate the development of α-fiber. 10Dual precipitate simultaneous enhancement of tensile and fatigue strength in(FeCoNi)_(86)Al_(7)Ti_(7) high-entropy alloy fabricated using selective laser melting显示文摘Recent studies have indicated that precipitation-strengthened high-entropy alloys(HEAs)show superior mechanical performance and have been successfully fabricated by additive manufacturing.However,the lack of fatigue and fracture research has limited the engineering applications of additive manufacturing HEAs.This work explored a dual precipitation-strengthened(FeCoNi)_(86)Al_(7)Ti_(7) HEA with excellent tensile and fatigue strength,prepared through selective laser melting and heat treatment.Compared with the as-built samples,the tensile properties and fatigue endurance limit improved through aging by 48.7%and 30%,respectively.The strengthening mechanism and enhanced fatigue performance were clarified in detail.The improvement in fatigue strength was attributed to the improved resistance of the L1_(2) and L2_(1) precipitates.During deformation,the dislocation shear coherent L1_(2) precipitates reduced slip band energy and inhibited slip band expansion,while the L2_(1) particles acted as obstructions for further slip band propagation,severely limiting the rapid formation and propagation of crack growth.In-situ TEM cyclic tensile-tensile testing also clarified the fatigue crack growth behavior,demonstrating that crack deflection due to L2_(1) precipitate obstruction slowed down the crack growth rate and efficiently promoted the closure of the microcrack tips.This work offers im plications for a new strategy to develop additive manufacturing HEAs.Long Xu Yandong Jia Zhenhui Wang Shiwei Wu Yuefei Jia Chuan Geng Jianchao Peng Xiaohua Tan Gang Wang 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,17:0
11Versatile photonic molecule switch in multimode microresonators显示文摘Harnessing optical supermode interaction to construct artificial photonic molecules has uncovered a series of fundamental optical phenomena analogous to atomic physics.Previously,the distinct energy levels and interactions in such two-level systems were provided by coupled microresonators.The reconfigurability is limited,as they often require delicate external field stimuli or mechanically altering the geometric factors.These highly specific approaches also limit potential applications.Here,we propose a versatile on-chip photonic molecule in a multimode microring,utilizing a flexible regulation methodology to dynamically control the existence and interaction strength of spatial modes.The transition between single/multi-mode states enables the“switched-off/on”functionality of the photonic molecule,supporting wider generalized applications scenarios.In particular,“switched-on”state shows flexible and multidimensional mode splitting control in aspects of both coupling strength and phase difference,equivalent to the a.c.and d.c.Stark effect.“Switched-off”state allows for perfect low-loss single-mode transition(Qi~10 million)under an ultra-compact bend size(FSR~115 GHz)in a foundry-based silicon microring.It breaks the stereotyped image of the FSR-Q factor trade-off,enabling ultra-wideband and high-resolution millimeter-wave photonic operations.Our demonstration provides a flexible and portable solution for the integrated photonic molecule system,extending its research scope from fundamental physics to real-world applications such as nonlinear optical signal processing and sixth-generation wireless communication.Zihan Tao Bitao Shen Wencan Li Luwen Xing Haoyu Wang Yichen Wu Yuansheng Tao Yan Zhou Yandong He Chao Peng Haowen Shu Xingjun Wang 2024Light(Science & Applications)2024,13,3:0
