| 1 | Human papillomavirus in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma in Colombia and Chile显示文摘AIM: To examine the presence of human papillomavirus (HPV) in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) specimens collected from Colombia and Chile located in the northern and southern ends of the continent, respectively. METHODS: We examined 47 and 26 formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded ESCC specimens from Colombia and Chile, respectively. HPV was detected using GP5+/GP6+ primer pair for PCR, and confirmed by Southern blot analysis. Sequencing analysis of L1 region fragment was used to identify HPV genotype. In addition, P16INK4A protein immunostaining of all the specimens was conducted. RESULTS: HPV was detected in 21 ESCC specimens (29%). Sequencing analysis of L1 region fragment identified HPV-16 genome in 6 Colombian cases(13%) and in 5 Chilean cases (19%). HPV-18 was detected in 10 cases (21%) in Colombia but not in any Chilean case. Since Chilean ESCC cases had a higher prevalence of HPV-16 (without statistical significance), but a significantly lower prevalence of HPV-18 than in Colombian cases (P = 0.011) even though the two countries have similar ESCC incidence rates, the frequency of HPV-related ESCC may not be strongly affected by risk factors affecting the incidence of ESCC. HPV-16 genome was more frequently detected in p16 positive carcinomas, although the difference was not statistically significant. HPV-18 detection rate did not show any association with p16 expression. Well-differentiated tumors tended to have either HPV-16 or HPV-18 but the association was not statistically significant. HPV genotypes other than HPV-16 or 18 were not detected in either country. CONCLUSION: HPV-16 and HPV-18 genotypes can be found in ESCC specimens collected from two South American countries. | 2 | 高精度铅同位素^207Pb-^204Pb双稀释剂TIMS测试方法显示文摘利用热电离质谱(TIMS)和207Pb-204Pb双稀释法测定低含量Pb岩石样品的同位素比值,可以有效校正由质谱分析造成的同位素分馏效应,提高铅同位素比值测定的精度和准确度。本文利用中国科学院广州地球化学研究所Triton TIMS,建立了207Pb-204Pb双稀释剂测试方法,并对Pb含量为5~20 ng的国际标样SRM981进行3个月的TIMS仪器测定,双稀释剂法外部校正后得到的206Pb/204Pb、207Pb/204Pb和208Pb/204Pb外部精度分别为±0.0034、±0.0046和±0.0100(2sd,n=28)。达到或优于其他国际高水平TIMS实验室双稀释剂法测定精度。同时,运用新方法对国际岩石标样AGV-2和BCR-2进行测定,得到的比值分别为:206Pb/204Pb=18.870±0.006、207Pb/204Pb=15.619±0.003、208Pb/204Pb=38.546±0.012和206Pb/204Pb=18.752±0.011、207Pb/204Pb=15.619±0.005、208Pb/204Pb=38.723±0.020,与国际同类实验室测定结果和精度一致,表明该新建方法是可靠的。运用207Pb-204Pb双稀释剂法对岩石样品进行测定,可获得高精度铅同位素比值,尤其对低含量Pb的基性、超基性地质样品测定有很大的优势。 | 刘希军 王桂琴 CASTILLO P R 许继峰 黄丰 余红霞 陈玲 | 2013 | 地球化学2013,42,2: | 6 |
| 3 | Endothelial progenitor cells as a therapeutic option in intracerebral hemorrhage显示文摘Intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH) is the most severe cerebrovascular disease, which represents a leading cause of death and disability in developed countries. However, therapeutic options are limited, so is mandatory to investigate repairing processes after stroke in order to develop new therapeutic strategies able to promote brain repair processes. Therapeutic angiogenesis and vasculogenesis hold promise to improve outcome of ICH patients. In this regard, circulating endothelial progenitor cells(EPCs) have recently been suggested to be a marker of vascular risk and endothelial function. Moreover, EPC levels have been associated with good neurological and functional outcome as well as reduced residual hematoma volume in ICH patients. Finally, experimental and clinical studies indicate that EPC might mediate endothelial cell regeneration and neovascularization. Therefore, EPC-based therapy could be an excellent therapeutic option in ICH.
