1肺炎链球菌耐药性和血清型分布及隐匿性耐药克隆株的研究显示文摘目的 了解儿童肺炎链球菌携带者耐药菌株的流行情况 ,比较携带者菌株血清型与肺炎链球菌结合疫苗血清型的符合率 ,寻找单个患儿同时携带敏感和耐药菌株的可能性。方法 (1)对1997年 11月~ 12月在北京儿童医院普通门诊登记的 3个月~ 5岁儿童进行问卷调查 ;(2 )采集鼻咽拭子和尿标本 ,培养、分离和鉴定肺炎链球菌 ,并测定尿标本中的抗生素活性 ;(3)根据NCCLS方法使用微量稀释法测定肺炎链球菌对青霉素、头孢呋新、头孢噻肟、复方新诺明、红霉素和氯霉素的敏感性 ;(4 )从最初发现的青霉素、红霉素敏感株中寻找“隐匿性耐药克隆株”。结果 (1) 5 0 2例受试儿童中 ,分离出 190株肺炎链球菌 ,携带率为 37.8% (190 / 5 0 2 ) ,对青霉素的敏感率为 91.1% ;(2 )只有33 .9%的菌株血清型与建议使用的肺炎链球菌结合疫苗血清型相符 ;(3) 4 2例含青霉素和红霉素敏感菌株鼻咽拭子中发现 6株 (14% )“隐匿性耐药克隆株”。结论 在携带者中 ,肺炎链球菌对 β 内酰胺类耐药还不常见 ,但对红霉素和复方新诺明耐药却非常严重 ;建议使用的结合疫苗血清型不能覆盖大部分携带菌株 ;耐药菌株的小部分隐匿在敏感菌株中 。俞桑洁 王槿芳 李洁 李艳 王雪莲 Whitney CG Levine OS Dowell SF 杨永弘 2000中华儿科杂志2000,38,7:40
2Machine learning modeling of superconducting critical temperature显示文摘Superconductivity has been the focus of enormous research effort since its discovery more than a century ago.Yet,some features of this unique phenomenon remain poorly understood;prime among these is the connection between superconductivity and chemical/structural properties of materials.To bridge the gap,several machine learning schemes are developed herein to model the critical temperatures(T_(c))of the 12,000+known superconductors available via the SuperCon database.Materials are first divided into two classes based on their T_(c) values,above and below 10 K,and a classification model predicting this label is trained.The model uses coarse-grained features based only on the chemical compositions.It shows strong predictive power,with out-of-sample accuracy of about 92%.Separate regression models are developed to predict the values of T_(c) for cuprate,iron-based,and low-T_(c) compounds.These models also demonstrate good performance,with learned predictors offering potential insights into the mechanisms behind superconductivity in different families of materials.To improve the accuracy and interpretability of these models,new features are incorporated using materials data from the AFLOW Online Repositories.Finally,the classification and regression models are combined into a single-integrated pipeline and employed to search the entire Inorganic Crystallographic Structure Database(ICSD)for potential new superconductors.We identify>30 non-cuprate and non-iron-based oxides as candidate materials.Valentin Stanev Corey Oses A.Gilad Kusne Efrain Rodriguez Johnpierre Paglione Stefano Curtarolo Ichiro Takeuchi 2018npj Computational Materials2018,,1:21
3Current view of the immunopathogenesis in inflammatory bowel disease and its implications for therapy显示文摘Although the aetiology of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) remains unknown, the pathogenesis is gradually being unravelled, seeming to be the result of a combination of environmental, genetic, and immunological factors in which an uncontrolled immune response within the intestinal lumen leads to inflammation in genetically predisposed individuals. Multifactorial evidence suggests that a defect of innate immune response to microbial agents is involved in IBD. This editorial outlines the immunopathogenesis of IBD and their current and future therapy. We present IBD as a result of dysregulated mucosal response in the intestinal wall facilitated by defects in epithelial barrier function and the mucosal immune system with excessive production of cytokines growth factors, adhesion molecules, and reactive oxygen metabolites, resulting in tissue injury. 4New aspects in celiac disease显示文摘Celiac disease (CD) is a common autoimmune disorder characterized by an immune response to ingested gluten and has a strong HLA association with HLA- DQ2 and HLA-DQ8 molecules, but human HLA-DQ risk factors do not explain the entire genetic susceptibility to gluten intolerance. CD is caused by the lack of immune tolerance (oral tolerance) to wheat gluten. In this sense, the expression of soluble HLA-G in CD is of special interest because the molecule plays an important role in the induction of immune tolerance. The enhanced expression of soluble HLA-G found in CD may be part of a mechanism to restore the gluten intolerance. 5Intravitreal dexamethasone implants for diabetic macular edema显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of a dexamethasone(DEX) intravitreal implant for diabetic macular edema(DME).METHODS: Totally 113 eyes of 84 patients were divided in three subgroups: naive patients(n=11), pseudophakic patients(n=72) and phakic patients(n=30). Inclusive criterion comprised adult diabetic patients with central fovea thickening and impaired visual acuity resulting from DME for whom previous standard treatments showed no improvement in both central macular thickness(CMT) and best corrected visual acuity(BCVA) after at least 3 mo of treatment. Outcome data were obtained from patient visits at baseline and at months 1, 3, 5, 9 and 12 after the first DEX implant injection. At each of these visits, patients underwent measurement of BCVA, a complete eye examination and measurement of CMT and macular volume(MV) carried out with optical coherence tomography(OCT) images. RESULTS: Seventy-three eyes(64.5%) received a single implant, 30(26.5%) received two implants and 10(9%) received three implants. At baseline, average in BCVA, CMT and MV were 43.5±20.8, 462.8±145 and 12.6±2.5 respectively. These values improved significantly at 1 mo(BCVA: 47.2±19.5, CMT: 339.6±120, MV: 11.11±1.4) and 3 mo(BCVA: 53.2±18.1, CMT: 353.8±141, MV: 11.3±1.3)(P≤0.05). At 5 mo(BCVA: 50.9±19.8, CMT: 425±150, MV: 12.27±2.3), 9 mo(BCVA: 48.4±17.6, CMT: 445.5±170, MV: 12.5±2.3) and 12 mo(BCVA: 47.7±18.8, CMT: 413.2±149, MV: 12.03±2.5), improvements in the three parameters were no longer statistically significant and decreased progressively but did not reach baseline values. There were no clinical differences between subgroups. 6Antimicrobial potential of Actinomycetes species isolated from marine environment显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the antimicrobial activity of Actinomycetes species isolated from marine environment.Methods:Twenty one strains of Actinomyceteswere isolated from samples of Royapuram, Muttukadu, Mahabalipuram sea shores and Adyar estuary. Preliminary screening was done using cross-streak method against two gram-positive and eight gram-negative bacteria.The most potent strains C11 and C12 were selected from which antibacterial substances were extracted. The antibacterial activities of the extracts were performed using Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion method. Molecular identification of those isolates was done.Results:All those twenty one isolates were active against at least one of the test organisms. Morphological characters were recorded. C11 showed activity againstStaphylococcusspecies(13.0暲0.5 mm),Vibrio harveyi(11.0暲0.2 mm),Pseudomonas species(12.0暲0.3 mm). 7Predicting superhard materials via a machine learning informed evolutionary structure search显示文摘The computational prediction of superhard materials would enable the in silico design of compounds that could be used in a wide variety of technological applications.Herein,good agreement was found between experimental Vickers hardnesses,Hv,of a wide range of materials and those calculated by three macroscopic hardness models that employ the shear and/or bulk moduli obtained from:(i)first principles via AFLOW-AEL(AFLOW Automatic Elastic Library),and(ii)a machine learning(ML)model trained on materials within the AFLOW repository.Because H^(ML)_(v) values can be quickly estimated,they can be used in conjunction with an evolutionary search to predict stable,superhard materials.This methodology is implemented in the XTALOPT evolutionary algorithm.Each crystal is minimized to the nearest local minimum,and its Vickers hardness is computed via a linear relationship with the shear modulus discovered by Teter.Both the energy/enthalpy and H^(ML)_(v),Teter are employed to determine a structure’s fitness.This implementation is applied towards the carbon system,and 43 new superhard phases are found.A topological analysis reveals that phases estimated to be slightly harder than diamond contain a substantial fraction of diamond and/or lonsdaleite.Patrick Avery Xiaoyu Wang Corey Oses Eric Gossett Davide M.Proserpio Cormac Toher Stefano Curtarolo Eva Zurek 2019npj Computational Materials2019,,1:7

9Influence of dissolved organic matter character on mercury incorporation by planktonic organisms: An experimental study using oligotrophic water from Patagonian lakes显示文摘Ligands present in dissolved organic matter(DOM) form complexes with inorganic divalent mercury(Hg2+) afecting its bioavailability in pelagic food webs. This investigation addresses the influence of a natural gradient of DOM present in Patagonian lakes on the bioaccumulation of Hg2+(the prevailing mercury species in the water column of these lakes) by the algae Cryptomonas erosa and the zooplankters Brachionus calyciflorus and Boeckella antiqua. Hg2+accumulation was studied through laboratory experiments using natural water of four oligotrophic Patagonian lakes amended with197Hg2+. The bioavailability of Hg2+was afected by the concentration and character of DOM. The entrance of Hg2+into pelagic food webs occurs mostly through passive and active accumulation. The incorporation of Hg2+by Cryptomonas, up to 27% of the Hg2+amended, was found to be rapid and dominated by passive adsorption,and was greatest when low molecular weight compounds with protein-like or small phenolic signatures prevailed in the DOM.Conversely, high molecular weight compounds with a humic or fulvic signature kept Hg2+in the dissolved phase, resulting in the lowest Hg2+accumulation in this algae. In Brachionus and Boeckella the direct incorporation of Hg from the aqueous phase was up to3% of the Hg2+amended. The dietary incorporation of Hg2+by Boeckella exceeded the direct absorption of this metal in natural water,and was remarkably similar to the Hg2+adsorbed in their prey. 12All-optical motion control of metal nanoparticles powered by propulsion forces tailored in 3D trajectories显示文摘Increasing interest has been drawn to optical manipulation of metal(plasmonic)nanoparticles due to their unique response on electromagnetic radiation,prompting numerous applications in nanofabrication,photonics,sensing,etc.The familiar point-like laser tweezers rely on the exclusive use of optical confinement forces that allow stable trapping of a single metal nanoparticle in 3 D.Simultaneous all-optical(contactless)confinement and motion control of single and multiple metal nanoparticles is one of the major challenges to be overcome.This article reports and provides guidance on mastering a sophisticated manipulation technique harnessing confinement and propulsion forces,enabling simultaneous all-optical confinement and motion control of nanoparticles along 3 D trajectories.As an example,for the first time to our knowledge,programmable transport of gold and silver nanospheres with a radius of 50 and 30 nm,respectively,along 3 D trajectories tailored on demand,is experimentally demonstrated.It has been achieved by an independent design of both types of optical forces in a single-beam laser trap in the form of a reconfigurable 3 D curve.The controlled motion of multiple nanoparticles,far away from chamber walls,allows studying induced electrodynamic interactions between them,such as plasmonic coupling,observed in the presented experiments.The independent control of optical confinement and propulsion forces provides enhanced flexibility to manipulate matter with light,paving the way to new applications involving the formation,sorting,delivery,and assembling of nanostructures.OSéARODRIGO MERCEDES ANGULO TATIANA ALIEVA 2021Photonics Research2021,9,1:5

14High-risk symptoms and quantitative faecal immunochemical test accuracy: Systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘BACKGROUND The quantitative faecal immunochemical test for haemoglobin(FIT) has been revealed to be highly accurate for colorectal cancer(CRC) detection not only in a screening setting, but also in the assessment of patients presenting lower bowel symptoms. Therefore, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence has recommended the adoption of FIT in primary care to guide referral for suspected CRC in low-risk symptomatic patients using a 10 μg Hb/g faeces threshold.Nevertheless, it is unknown whether FIT′s accuracy remains stable throughout the broad spectrum of possible symptoms.AIM To perform a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess FIT accuracy for CRC detection in different clinical settings.METHODS A systematic literature search was performed using MEDLINE and EMBASE databases from inception to May 2018 to conduct a meta-analysis of prospective studies including symptomatic patients that evaluated the diagnostic accuracy of quantitative FIT for CRC detection. Studies were classified on the basis of brand,threshold of faecal haemoglobin concentration for a positive test result,percentage of reported symptoms(solely symptomatic, mixed cohorts) and CRC prevalence(< 2.5%, ≥ 2.5%) to limit heterogeneity and perform subgroup analysis to assess the influence of clinical spectrum on FIT′s accuracy to detect CRC.RESULTS Fifteen cohorts including 13073 patients(CRC prevalence 0.4% to 16.8%) were identified. Pooled estimates of sensitivity for studies using OC-Sensor at 10 μg Hb/g faeces threshold(n = 10400) was 89.6% [95% confidence interval(CI): 82.7%to 94.0%). However, pooled estimates of sensitivity for studies formed solely by symptomatic patients(n = 4035) and mixed cohorts(n = 6365) were 94.1%(95%CI: 90.0% to 96.6%) and 85.5%(95%CI: 76.5% to 91.4%) respectively(P <0.01), while there were no statistically significant differences between pooled sensitivity of studies with CRC prevalence < 2.5%(84.9%, 95%CI: 73.4% to 92.0%)and ≥ 2.5%(91.7%, 95%CI: 83.3% to 96.1%)(P = 0.25). At the same threshold, OCSensor? sensitivity to rule out any significant colonic lesion was 78.6%(95%CI:75.6% to 81.4%). We found substantial heterogeneity especially when assessing specificity.CONCLUSION The results of this meta-analysis confirm that, regardless of CRC prevalence,quantitative FIT is highly sensitive for CRC detection. 18Coordination corrected ab initio formation enthalpies显示文摘The correct calculation of formation enthalpy is one of the enablers of ab-initio computational materials design.For several classes of systems(e.g.oxides)standard density functional theory produces incorrect values.Here we propose the“coordination corrected enthalpies”method(CCE),based on the number of nearest neighbor cation–anion bonds,and also capable of correcting relative stability of polymorphs.CCE uses calculations employing the Perdew,Burke and Ernzerhof(PBE),local density approximation(LDA)and strongly constrained and appropriately normed(SCAN)exchange correlation functionals,in conjunction with a quasiharmonic Debye model to treat zero-point vibrational and thermal effects.The benchmark,performed on binary and ternary oxides(halides),shows very accurate room temperature results for all functionals,with the smallest mean absolute error of 27(24)meV/atom obtained with SCAN.The zero-point vibrational and thermal contributions to the formation enthalpies are small and with different signs—largely canceling each other.Rico Friedrich Demet Usanmaz Corey Oses Andrew Supka Marco Fornari Marco Buongiorno Nardelli Cormac Toher Stefano Curtarolo 2019npj Computational Materials2019,,1:3

20Influence of gender in the recognition of basic facial expressions:A critical literature review显示文摘AIM: To conduct a systematic literature review about the influence of gender on the recognition of facial expressions of six basic emotions. METHODS: We made a systematic search with the search terms(face OR facial) AND(processing OR recognition OR perception) AND(emotional OR emotion) AND(gender or sex) in Pub Med, Psyc INFO, LILACS, and Sci ELO electronic databases for articles assessing outcomes related to response accuracy and latency and emotional intensity. The articles selection was performed according to parameters set by COCHRANE. The reference lists of the articles found through the database search were checked for additional references of interest. RESULTS: In respect to accuracy, women tend to perform better than men when all emotions are considered as a set. Regarding specific emotions, there seems to be no gender-related differences in the recognition of happiness, whereas results are quite heterogeneous in respect to the remaining emotions, especially sadness, anger, and disgust. Fewer articles dealt with the parameters of response latency and emotional intensity, which hinders the generalization of their findings, especially in the face of their methodological differences.
