1Protective effects of trilinolein extracted from Panax notoginseng against cardiovascular disease显示文摘Trilinolein is a triacylglycerol purified from a commonly used traditional Chinese medicine Panax notoginseng,Trilinolein has been reported to provide a number of beneficial effects including reducing thrombogenicity and arrhythmias and increasing erythrocyte deformability.Additionally,trilinolein has been reported to be an antioxidant,which can counteract free radical damage associated with atherogenesis,and myocardial damage seen with ischaemia and reperfusion.These pharmacologic effects may explain the perceived benefits derived from treating circulatory disorders with the herb over the centuries.Paul CHAN G Neil THOMAS Brian TOMLINSON 2002Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2002,23,12:45
2黄芪总黄酮对动脉粥样硬化早期形成的影响显示文摘目的 探讨黄芪总黄酮(TFA)对高脂饲料诱导家兔动脉粥样硬化(AS)的防护作用。方法 60只新西兰白兔被随机分为5组,分别给正常饲料(对照组,n=10)、高脂饲料(造模组,n=10)、高脂饲料加维生素E 400 IU·d^(-1)(VitE组,n=10)、高脂饲料加TFA 60 mg·d^(-1)(TFA 1组,n=15)和高脂饲料加TFA 120 mg·d^(-1)(TFA 2组,n=15)处理12 wk,动态监测(0、8和12 wk)血脂的变化,实验结束前,所有动物用CO_2处死,分别检测主动脉弓的病理变化和胆固醇的含量。结果 实验数据表明所有接受高脂饲料的动物血浆中的总胆固醇、甘油三脂、主动脉弓的粥样硬化斑块面积、胆固醇含量和动脉壁内膜与中膜平均厚度比值均高于正常饲料组。TFA能降低血浆总胆固醇(P<0.05)、动脉壁中的胆固醇和动脉壁内膜与中膜比率;两种浓度的TFA(60和120 mg·d^(-1))能分别降低43.1%和63.0%的AS斑块面积;维生素E可降低动脉壁中的胆固醇沉积和动脉壁内膜与中膜比率(P<0.05),减低43.7%的AS斑块面积。在本实验中TFA和维生素E对甘油三脂代谢无影响。结论 TFA对高脂饲料诱导家兔AS形成有一定的防护作用。汪德清 丁保国 Tomas G Neil 田亚平 王成彬 Tomlinson Brian 2003中国药理学通报2003,19,6:48
3黄芪总黄酮对扑热息痛所致小鼠肝损伤防护作用的研究显示文摘目的 :研究黄芪总黄酮 (TFA)对扑热息痛所致肝损伤的防护作用。方法 :用 1%羧甲基纤维素钠 10ml·kg-1,TFA10 0mg·kg-1或维生素C (Ascorbicacid ,VC) 10 0 0mg·kg-1给小鼠灌胃 1h后 ,灌扑热息痛 10 0 0mg·kg-1,观察小鼠死亡率的变化 ;提前 1h用不同剂量的TFA或VC处理后 ,再灌 40 0mg·kg-1的扑热息痛 ,检测血清酶学和肝脏组织学的改变。结果 :给小鼠扑热息痛 10 0 0mg·kg-1灌胃组 ,2 4h后可致 80 %小鼠死亡 ;提前 1h用TFA10 0mg·kg-1或VC灌胃其死亡率可分别下降至 2 0 %和 0 %。血清转氨酶 (ALT)和病理切片显示当给 40 0mg·kg-1扑热息痛灌胃 2 4h后即可引起严重肝损伤 (ALT升高和肝组织大面积坏死 ,P <0 .0 0 1)。TFA或VC预防组 (提前 1h给药 )的肝损伤程度与对照组比较明显减轻 ,其作用强度与药物浓度成正比。结论 :TFA对扑热息痛所致肝损伤有保护作用。汪德清 丁保国 马艳青 赵海潞 Thomas G Neil Tomlinson Brian 田亚平 王成彬 Critchley Julian AJH 2001中国中药杂志2001,26,7:31
4Overexpression of Slug is associated with malignant progression of esophageal adenocarcinoma显示文摘AIM: To characterise expression of known E-cadherin repressors; Snail, Slug and Twist in the development of esophageal adenocarcinoma. METHODS: E-cadherin, Slug, Snail and Twist mRNA expression in Barrett's metaplasia and esophageal adenocarcinoma specimens was examined by real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Semi-quantitative immunohistochemistry was used to examine cellular localisation and protein levels. The effect of Slug on epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT) markers was examined by transfection of Slug into an adenocarcinoma line OE33.RESULTS: Cellular localisation of Slug in Barrett's metaplasia was largely cytoplasmic whilst in adenocarcinoma it was nuclear. Semi-quantitative analysis indicated that Slug was more abundant in adenocarcinoma compared to matched Barrett's metaplastic specimens. Snail and Twist were expressed in adenocarcinoma but were cytoplasmic in location and not induced compared to Barrett's mucosa. These observations were supported by mRNA studies where only Slug mRNA was shown to be over-expressed in adenocarcinoma and inversely correlated to E-cadherin expression. 6国际体力活动问卷中体力活动强度对中老年人糖尿病患病率的影响显示文摘目的采用国际体力活动问卷(IPAQ)评价广州市中老年人体力活动状况对糖尿病患病率的影响。方法2006年11月至2007年9月从“广州生物库队列研究”第三期招募研究对象中随机选出1996名年龄≥50岁的广州市居民,进行包括详细的生活方式、疾病史等调查,以及身高、体重、腰围、臀围和空腹血糖及葡萄糖耐量等指标的测量和检测。采用IPAQ调查并评价受检者体力活动状况。结果共1932名(96.8%)受试者接受IPAQ体力活动调查,其中体力活动活跃(60.0%)、充分(中等,29.8%)和不足者(10.2%)糖尿病患病率分别为9.1%、12.0%和14.2%。多因素logistic回归分析,在调整了年龄、性别、肥胖等多种潜在混杂因素之后,相对体力活动不足组,体力活动充分和活跃组患糖尿病的OR值分别为0.75(95%CI:0.46~1.26)和0.60(95%CI:0.38~0.97),趋势分析P=0.03。结论经常性的适度体力活动有助于降低中老年人糖尿病患病风险。江朝强 徐琳 林大庆 张维森 刘斌 林洁明 岳晓军 靳雅丽 G Neil Thomas 2009中华流行病学杂志2009,30,5:12
7Augmenting peripheral nerve regeneration using stem cells: A review of current opinion显示文摘Outcomes following peripheral nerve injury remain frustratingly poor. The reasons for this are multifactorial, although maintaining a growth permissive environment in the distal nerve stump following repair is arguably the most important. The optimal environment for axonal regeneration relies on the synthesis and release of many biochemical mediators that are temporally and spatially regulated with a high level of incompletely understood complexity. The Schwann cell(SC) has emerged as a key player in this process. Prolonged periods of distal nerve stump denervation, characteristic of large gaps and proximal injuries, have been associated with a reduction in SC number and ability to support regenerating axons. Cell based therapy offers a potential therapy for the improvement of outcomes following peripheral nerve reconstruction. Stem cells have the potential to increase the number of SCs and prolong their ability to support regeneration. They may also have the ability to rescue and replenish populations of chromatolytic and apoptotic neurons following axotomy. Finally, they can be used in non-physiologic ways to preserve injured tissues such as denervated muscle while neuronal ingrowth has not yet occurred. Aside from stem cell type, careful consideration must be given to differentiation status, how stem cells are supported following transplantation and how they will be delivered to the site of injury. 8Relationship between obesity and cardiovascular risk factors in elderly Chinese subjects显示文摘Objective To investigate the relative effects of degree and distribution of body fat with several cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors in elderly Chinese subjects.Methods One-hundred and thirty-five elderly Chinese individuals (age range, 60-65 y) without any history of significant renal, hepatic or cardiac disease were recruited. Seated blood pressure, anthropometric and fasting plasma biochemical parameters were measured. Student’s t-test was used to compare the differences in biochemical and anthropometric markers between cohorts.Results Males were heavier (64.6±8.6, 57.2±8.2?kg, P<0.001), taller (1.65±0.06, 1.51± 0.05 m, P<0.001) and their greater body fat was predominantly deposited centrally (Waist-to-hip ratio, 0.91±0.06, 0.88±0.07, P<0.05). Females were more generally obese with increased body mass index (BMI, 23.8±4.6, 25.0±3.5 kg/m 2, P<0.05) and percentage body fat [26.3% (24.5%-28.1%) vs 37.2% (36.0%-38.9%), P<0.001] than the males. 9黄芪总黄酮抗肝损伤作用初探显示文摘目的研究黄芪总黄酮(total navonoids 0f Astragalus,TFA)对扑热息痛所致小鼠肝损伤的预防功效。方法观察不同剂量(0、100、300、400、500 ms/kg)扑热息痛对c57BL/6J小鼠肝脏的损伤作用,比较经1天或5天(每天2次)的TFA预处理后对扑热息痛(400 mg/kg)所致肝损伤的防护作用。结果扑热息痛对小鼠肝损伤作用具有明显的量效关系。不同剂量的TFA对扑热息痛诱导小鼠肝损伤有不同程度的防护作用,其作用强度与药物浓度成正比;TFA可增加血清中SOD活性(P<0.05);高剂量的TFA(100mg/kg)具有降低肝组织中脂质过氧化物质的作用;此外,在相同TFA剂量下,5天组对扑热息痛诱导小鼠肝损伤的预防作用优于1天组。结论提示TFA可预防扑热息痛诱导的肝损伤,其预防作用与其使用时间有密切关系。汪德清 田亚平 Thomas G Neil Tomlinson Brian 2005中国中西医结合杂志2005,25,S1:9
10Efficacy of pancreatoscopy for pancreatic duct stones:A systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘BACKGROUND Pancreatic duct stones can lead to significant abdominal pain for patients.Per oral pancreatoscopy(POP)-guided intracorporal lithotripsy is being increasingly used for the management of main pancreatic duct calculi(PDC)in chronic pancreatitis.POP uses two techniques:Electrohydraulic lithotripsy(EHL)and laser lithotripsy(LL).Data on the safety and efficacy are limited for this procedure.We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis with a primary aim to calculate the pooled technical and clinical success rates of POP.The secondary aim was to assess pooled rates of technical success,clinical success for the two individual techniques,and adverse event rates.AIM To perform a systematic review and meta-analysis of POP,EHL and LL for management of PDC in chronic pancreatitis.METHODS We conducted a comprehensive search of multiple electronic databases and conference proceedings including PubMed,EMBASE,Cochrane,Google Scholar and Web of Science databases(from 1999 to October 2019)to identify studies with patient age greater than 17 and any gender that reported on outcomes of POP,EHL and LL.The primary outcome assessed involved the pooled technical success and clinical success rate of POP.The secondary outcome included the pooled technical success and clinical success rate for EHL and LL.We also assessed the pooled rate of adverse events for POP,EHL and LL including a subgroup analysis for the rate of adverse event subtypes for POP:Hemorrhage,post-endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography pancreatitis(PEP),perforation,abdominal pain,fever and infections.Technical success was defined as the rate of clearing pancreatic duct stones and clinical success as the improvement in pain.Randomeffects model was used for analysis.Heterogeneity between study-specific estimates was calculated using the Cochran Q statistical test and I2 statistics.Publication bias was ascertained,qualitatively by visual inspection of funnel plot and quantitatively by the Egger test.RESULTS A total of 16 studies including 383 patients met the inclusion criteria.The technical success rate of POP was 76.4%(95%CI:65.9-84.5;I2=64%)and clinical success rate was 76.8%(95%CI:65.2-85.4;I2=66%).The technical success rate of EHL was 70.3%(95%CI:57.8-80.3;I2=36%)and clinical success rate of EHL was 66.5%(95%CI:55.2-76.2;I2=19%).The technical success rate of LL was 89.3%(95%CI:70.5-96.7;I2=70%)and clinical success rate of LL was 88.2%(95%CI:66.4-96.6;I2=77%).The incidence of pooled adverse events for POP was 14.9%(95%CI:9.2-23.2;I2=49%),for EHL was 11.2%(95%CI:5.9-20.3;I2=15%)and for LL was 13.1%(95%CI:6.3-25.4;I2=31%).Subgroup analysis of adverse events showed rates of PEP at 7%(95%CI:3.5-13.6;I2=38%),fever at 3.7%(95%CI:2-6.9;I2=0),abdominal pain at 4.7%(95%CI:2.7-7.8;I2=0),perforation at 4.3%(95%CI:2.1-8.4;I2=0),hemorrhage at 3.4%(95%CI:1.7-6.6;I2=0)and no mortality.There was evidence of publication bias based on funnel plot analysis and Egger’s test.CONCLUSION Our study highlights the high technical and clinical success rates for POP,EHL and LL.POP-guided lithotripsy could be a viable option for management of chronic pancreatitis with PDC.Syed M Saghir Harmeet S Mashiana Babu P Mohan Banreet S Dhindsa Amaninder Dhaliwal Saurabh Chandan Neil Bhogal Ishfaq Bhat Shailender Singh Douglas G Adler 2020World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,34:5
