| 1 | Medicinal plants with hepatoprotective activity in Iranian folk medicine显示文摘There are a number of medicinal combinations in the Iranian traditional medicine which are commonly used as tonic for liver.In this review,we have introduced some medicinal plants that are used mainly for the treatment of liver disorders in Iranian folk medicine,with focus on their hepatoprotective effects particularly against CCI_4 agent.In this study,online databases including Web of Science.PubMed.Scopus,and Science Direct were searched for papers published from January 1970 to December 2013.Search terms consisted of medicinal plants,traditional medicine,folk medicine,hepatoprotective.Iran,liver,therapeutic uses,compounds,antioxidant.CCI_4.anti-inflammatory,and antihepatotoxic,hepatitis,alone or in combination.Allium hirtifolium Boiss..Apium graveolens L..Cynara scolyinus.Berberis vulgaris L..,Calendula officinalis,Nigella sativa L..Taraxacum officinale.Tragopogon porrifolius.Prangos ferulacea L..Allium sativum,Marribium vulgare,Ammi majus L..Citrullus lanatus Thunb.Agrimonia eupatoria L.and Primus armeniaca L.are some of the medicinal plants that have been used for the treatment of liver disorders in Iranian folk medicine.Out of several leads obtained from plants containing potential hepatoprotective agents,silymarin,P-sitosterol,betalain,neoandrographolide.phyllanthin.andrographolide.curcumin.picroside.hypophyllanlhin.kutkoside,and glycyrrhizin have been demonstrated to have potent hepatoprotective properties.Despite encouraging data on possibility of new discoveries in the near future,the evidence on treating viral hepatitis or other chronic liver diseases by herbal medications is not adequate. | Majid Asadi-Samani Najme Kafash-Farkhad Nafiseh Azimi Ali Fasihi Ebrahim Alinia-Ahandani Mahmoud Rafieian-Kopaei | 2015 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2015，5，2： | 5 |
| 2 | Thickness determination of MoS2,MoSe2,WS2 and WSe2 on transparent stamps used for deterministic transfer of 2D materials显示文摘Here,we propose a method to determine the thickness of the most common transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) placed on the surface of transparent stamps,used for the deterministic placement of two-dimensional materials,by analyzing the red,green and blue channels of transmission-mode optical microscopy images of the samples.In particular,the blue channel transmittance shows a large and monotonic thickness dependence,making it a very convenient probe of the flake thickness.The method proves to be robust given the small flake-to-flake variation and the insensitivity to doping changes of MoS2.We also tested the method for MoSe2,WS2 and WSe2.These results provide a reference guide to identify the number of layers of this family of materials on transparent substrates only using optical microscopy. | Najme S. | 5 | Diagnostically untypable hepatitis C virus variants:It is time to resolve the problem显示文摘Pakistan is a low income country with more than 10million hepatitis C virus(HCV)infections and the burden is on continuous raise.Accurate viral genotyping is very critical for proper treatment of the infected individuals as the sustained virological response of the standard antiviral interferon therapy is genotype dependent.We observed at our diagnostic center that15.6%of HCV patient’s samples were not genotypeable by using Ohno et al method.The genotyped samples showed that 3a(68.3%)is the major prevalent genotype in Pakistan followed by 2a(10.3%),3b(2.6%),1b(1.5%),2b(1.2%)and 1a(0.5%).Presence of large number of untypable HCV variants in the current study highlights an important issue of health care setup in Pakistan.Untypable HCV cases create difficulties in treatment of these patients.The problem of routine diagnostics setup of Pakistan should be addressed on priority basis to facilitate the medical professionals in patient’s treatment and to help in achieving the maximum sustained virological response. | Muhammad Sohail Afzal Muhammad Yousaf Khan Muhammad Ammar Sadia Anjum Najm us Sahar Sadaf Zaidi | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014，20，46： | 2 |
