1Orderly Porous Covalent Organic Frameworks-based Materials:Superior Adsorbents for Pollutants Removal from Aqueous Solutions显示文摘Covalent organic frameworks(COFs)are a new type of crystalline porous polymers known for chemical stability,excellent structural regularity,robust framework,and inherent porosity,making them promising materials for capturing various types of pollutants from aqueous solutions.This review thoroughly presents the recent progress and advances of COFs and COF-based materials as superior adsorbents for the efficient removal of toxic heavy metal ions,radionuclides,and organic pollutants.Information about the interaction mechanisms between various pollutants and COF-based materials are summarized from the macroscopic and microscopic standpoints,including batch experiments,theoretical calculations,and advanced spectroscopy analysis.The adsorption properties of various COF-based materials are assessed and compared with other widely used adsorbents.Several commonly used strategies to enhance COF-based materials’adsorption performance and the relationship between structural property and sorption ability are also discussed.Finally,a summary and perspective on the opportunities and challenges of COFs and COF-based materials are proposed to provide some inspiring information on designing and fabricating COFs and COF-based materials for environmental pollution management.Xiaolu Liu Hongwei Pang Xuewei Liu Qian Li Ning Zhang Liang Mao Muqing Qiu Baowei Hu Hui Yang Xiangke Wang 2021The Innovation2021,2,1:12
2Efficacy of chalcopyrite bioleaching using a pure and a mixed bacterium显示文摘To determine the efficacy of chalcopyrite bioleaching using pure cultures of Thiobacillus ferrooxidans or Thiobacillus thiooxidans and a mixed culture composed of Thiobacillus ferrooxidans and Thiobacillus thiooxidans, experiments were carried out in shake flasks with [Fe^(2+)] 4 g.L^(-1) and S 1 g.L^(-1) at pH=1.80, 130 r/min and 30℃. The tests showed that the copper extraction in a mixed culture composed of Thiobacillus ferrooxidans and Thiobacillus thiooxidans is higher than that in a pure culture. On the other hand, an important potential of Thiobacillus thiooxidans to leaching chalcopyrite was indicated. Thiobacillus thiooxidans can prevent jarosites accumulating on the substrate and allow further copper to dissolute through the action of ferric ion. The selection of the suitable pH in a leaching solution would be significant. Thiobacillus thiooxidans and Thiobacillus ferrooxidans play an important role in the bioleaching process. 4Biochar for the removal of contaminants from soil and water:a review显示文摘Biochar shows significant potential to serve as a globally applicable material to remediate water and soil owing to the extensive availability of feedstocks and conducive physio-chemical surface characteristics.This review aims to highlight biochar production technologies,characteristics of biochar,and the latest advancements in immobilizing and eliminating heavy metal ions and organic pollutants in soil and water.Pyrolysis temperature,heat transfer rate,residence time,and type of feedstock are critical influential parameters.Biochar’s efficacy in managing contaminants relies on the pore size distribution,surface groups,and ion-exchange capacity.The molecular composition and physical architecture of biochar may be crucial when practically applied to water and soil.In general,biochar produced at relatively high pyrolysis temperatures can effectively manage organic pollutants via increasing surface area,hydrophobicity and microporosity.Biochar generated at lower temperatures is deemed to be more suitable for removing polar organic and inorganic pollutants through oxygen-containing functional groups,precipitation and electrostatic attraction.This review also presents the existing obstacles and future research direction related to biochar-based materials in immobilizing organic contaminants and heavy metal ions in effluents and soil.Muqing Qiu Lijie Liu Qian Ling Yawen Cai Shujun Yu Shuqin Wang Dong Fu Baowei Hu Xiangke Wang 2022Biochar2022,4,1:2
5Optimizing conditions for bacterial leaching of copper from discarded mines显示文摘The effect of process parameters (pH, pulp density, inoculum volume, ferrous content, particle size) on the rate of coppersolubilization was analyzed respectively through bioleaching tests with mixed bacteria in shake flasks. These results show that theoptimal process parameters are: pH, 1.50-1.80; pulp density, 5wt%; inoculum volume, 10vol%; ferrous content, 2g?L?1; particle size,<0.076 mm. Furthermore, when the pH value is below 1.50 in leaching solution, the iron precipitated can be reduced to a great extent,but it shows low bacterial activity at this pH. 9Bacterial leaching of discarded copper ores from Yongping, China显示文摘The elementary and phase analysis of discarded copper ores from Yongping of China has been performed. The experiments of extracting copper from the discarded copper ores were done with the mixed bacteria obtained through a series of enrichment,separation, domestication and combination tests. The results show that in the process of bioleaching, the pH value rises at first and drops gradually. The Eh value keeps rising along with the time and the appropriate Eh value varying between 750 and 800 mV will benefit the bioleaching copper. The high concentration of ferric ions is detrimental to the bioleaching copper. The results of bioleaching copper are good. 10Mechanochemical transformation of fluorescent hydrogel based on dynamic lanthanide-terpyridine coordination显示文摘As a burgeoning research field, ultrasound-responsive materials have attracted intense interest in healthcare research. However, the basic mechanism of sonochemical effect in the quasi-solid state is far from being well understood than those in the solution. Herein, we showcase mechanochemical transformations of europium(Ⅲ) complexes in a supramolecular hydrogel matrix. With the combination of labile terpyridine-europium complexes(TPY-Eu^(3+)) as mechanochromic moieties and an ultrasound-responsive fluorogen(URF) as a molecular tweezer, the hydrogel produces a notable fluorescence change in response to ultrasound.
