1Darcy–Forchheimer Three-Dimensional Flow of Williamson Nanofluid over a Convectively Heated Nonlinear Stretching Surface显示文摘The present study elaborates three-dimensional flow of Williamson nanoliquid over a nonlinear stretchable surface. Fluid flow obeys Darcy–Forchheimer porous medium. A bidirectional nonlinear stretching surface generates the flow. Convective surface condition of heat transfer is taken into consideration. Further the zero nanoparticles mass flux condition is imposed at the boundary. Effects of thermophoresis and Brownian diffusion are considered. Assumption of boundary layer has been employed in the problem formulation. Convergent series solutions for the nonlinear governing system are established through the optimal homotopy analysis method(OHAM). Graphs have been sketched in order to analyze that how the velocity, temperature and concentration distributions are affected by distinct emerging flow parameters. 3Tylophora hirsuta L. leaf extract attenuates alloxan-induced diabetes in mice by suppressing oxidative stress and α-amylase显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the antidiabetic potential of leaf extracts of Tylophora hirsuta(T.hirsuta).Methods:The methanolic and ethyl acetate extracts of T.hirsuta leaves were analyzed by high pressure liquid chromatography.In vitro antioxidant activity was determined by ferric ion reduction,1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl,and hydrogen peroxide scavenging methods.In vitro alpha amylase(α-amylase)inhibitory activity of the plant extracts was assessed.In vivo antidiabetic potential was determined in alloxan-induced diabetic mice to assess glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c),oral glucose tolerance,serum amylase,lipid profile,fasting blood glucose,and body weight.Histopathological lesions of the pancreas,liver and kidney were observed.Oxidative stress biomarkers such as superoxide dismutase,catalase and peroxidase were also determined.Results:Quercetin,chlorogenic acid,p-coumaric acid,and m-coumaric acid were found in the plant extracts.The methanolic plant extract exhibited higher in vitro antioxidant activities than the ethyl acetate extract.Moreover,methanolic plant extract exhibited(83.90±1.56)%α-amylase inhibitory activity at 3.2 mg/mL concentration.Animal study showed that the methanolic extract of T.hirsuta improved the levels of fasting blood glucose,HbA1c,serumα-amylase,lipid profile,liver function biomarkers,and kidney functions of diabetic mice.Moreover,the methanolic extract ameliorated diabetes-related oxidative stress by increasing superoxide dismutase and catalase activities and decreasing peroxidase and malondialdehyde levels.Histopathological examination showed that the plant extract had improved the integrity of pancreatic islets of Langerhans and reduced the pathological lesions in the liver and kidney of diabetic mice.Conclusions:The methanolic extract of T.hirsuta exhibits pronounced antidiabetic activity in mice through reduction of oxidative stress.The plant extract has several natural antioxidants such as phenolic acids.T.hirsuta extract could serve as a nutraceutical for managing diabetes mellitus.Muhammad Furqan Akhtar Arsalan Shagufta Ammara Saleem Mirza Muhammad Faran Ashraf Baig Ali Sharif Azhar Rasul Mohamed M.Abdel-Daim 2021Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2021,11,9:0
4Reimagining safe lithium applications in the living environment and its impacts on human,animal,and plant system显示文摘Lithium's(Li)ubiquitous distribution in the environment is a rising concern due to its rapid proliferation in the modern electronic industry.Li enigmatic entry into the terrestrial food chain raises many questions and uncertainties that may pose a grave threat to living biota.We examined the leverage existing published articles regarding advances in global Li resources,interplay with plants,and possible involvement with living organisms,especially humans and animals.Globally,Li concentration(<10 e300 mg kg1)is detected in agricultural soil,and their pollutant levels vary with space and time.High mobility of Li results in higher accumulation in plants,but the clear mechanisms and specific functions remain unknown.Our assessment reveals the causal relationship between Li level and biota health.For example,lower Li intake(<0.6 mM in serum)leads to mental disorders,while higher intake(>1.5 mM in serum)induces thyroid,stomach,kidney,and reproductive system dysfunctions in humans and animals.However,there is a serious knowledge gap regarding Li regulatory standards in environmental compartments,and mechanistic approaches to unveil its consequences are needed.Furthermore,aggressive efforts are required to define optimum levels of Li for the normal functioning of animals,plants,and humans.This review is designed to revitalize the current status of Li research and identify the key knowledge gaps to fight back against the mountainous challenges of Li during the recent digital revolution.Additionally,we propose pathways to overcome Li problems and develop a strategy for effective,safe,and acceptable applications.Noman Shakoor Muhammad Adeel Muhammad Arslan Ahmad Muhammad Zain Usman Waheed Rana Arsalan Javaid Fasih Ullah Haider Imran Azeem Pingfan Zhou Yuanbo Li Ghulam Jilani Ming Xu Jorg Rinklebe Yukui Rui 2023Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2023,,3:0

6LNA Design for Future S Band Satellite Navigation and 4G LTE Applications显示文摘A good design of LNA for S band satellite navigation receivers and 4G LTE wireless communication system has been implemented in this paper.Due to increased congestion in the present L band,the S Band frequency from 2483.5-2500 MHz has been allocated for the future satellite navigation systems.For this purpose ATF-34143 amplifier(pHEMT)having high electron mobility and fast switching response has been chosen due to its very low Noise Figure(NF).The amplifier has been designed having bandwidth of 0.8 GHz from 1.8-2.6 GHz.Because of the large bandwidth,the amplifier could serve many wireless communication applications including 4G LTE mobile communication at 2.1 GHz.The design was implemented using the micro strip technology offering extremely low noise figure of 0.312 dB and 0.377 dB for 2.1 GHz and 2.49 GHz respectively.The gain of the amplifier was low and found to be 10.281 dB and 9.175 dB.For the purpose of increasing the gain of an amplifier,the proposed LNA design was then optimized by using Wilkinson Power Divider(WPD).The Balanced LNA design using WPD offered very low noise figure of 0.422 dB and 0.532 dB respectively and the gain was considerably increased and was found to be 20.087 dB and 17.832 dB respectively against 2.1 GHz and 2.49 GHz.Simulations and measurements were taken in Agilent Advanced Design System(ADS)software.The suggested LNA can be used for a variety of wireless communications applications including the future S band satellite navigation systems.Muhammad Arsalan Falin Wu 2019Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2019,,5:0
7Assessment of Biochemical and Antioxidative Status in Patients Suffering from Dengue Fever显示文摘A multi-centred study was designed to collect dengue epidemiologic data from government and registered private hospitals/clinics and maintained archive of frozen specimens in bio-bank to be used for future dengue epidemic control program, and assess the epidemiology of dengue fever(DF) by evaluating biochemical and oxidative status of patients. ELISA Ig M antibodies test was done to confirm DF. From August 2010 to December 2011, 101 confirmed blood samples of DF patients referred to pathology lab of Jinnah Hospital Lahore were subjected to the epidemiologic assessment by evaluating the biochemical and physiological indices and alterations of circulating antioxidants. Clinical features of DF patients and effect of fever on blood components and serum proteins of liver were recorded. The hospital stay in DF, dengue hemorrhagic fever(DHF) and dengue shock syndrome(DSS) showed significant difference. Significant increases in serum alanine amino transferase(ALT)(P=0.000), aspartate amino transferase(AST)(P=0.000), alkaline phosphatase(ALP)(P=0.000), malondialdehyde(MDA) along with significant decreases in total protein(TP)(P=0.000), reduced glutathione(GSH)(P=0.000), superoxide dismutase(SOD), catalase(CAT)(P=0.000), and sialic acid contents(P=0.016) were observed. A positive correlation existed between bound sialic acid levels, liver enzymes and circulating antioxidants(r=0.656, P=0.016). 8Energy efficient indoor localisation for narrowband internet of things显示文摘There are an increasing number of Narrow Band IoT devices being manufactured as the technology behind them develops quickly.The high co‐channel interference and signal attenuation seen in edge Narrow Band IoT devices make it challenging to guarantee the service quality of these devices.To maximise the data rate fairness of Narrow Band IoT devices,a multi‐dimensional indoor localisation model is devised,consisting of transmission power,data scheduling,and time slot scheduling,based on a network model that employs non‐orthogonal multiple access via a relay.Based on this network model,the optimisation goal of Narrow Band IoT device data rate ratio fairness is first established by the authors,while taking into account the Narrow Band IoT network:The multidimensional indoor localisation optimisation model of equipment tends to minimize data rate,energy constraints and EH relay energy and data buffer constraints,data scheduling and time slot scheduling.As a result,each Narrow Band IoT device's data rate needs are met while the network's overall performance is optimised.We investigate the model's potential for convex optimisation and offer an algorithm for optimising the distribution of multiple resources using the KKT criterion.The current work primarily considers the NOMA Narrow Band IoT network under a single EH relay.However,the growth of Narrow Band IoT devices also leads to a rise in co‐channel interference,which impacts NOMA's performance enhancement.Through simulation,the proposed approach is successfully shown.These improvements have boosted the network's energy efficiency by 44.1%,data rate proportional fairness by 11.9%,and spectrum efficiency by 55.4%.Ismail Keshta Mukesh Soni Mohammed Wasim Bhatt Azeem Irshad Ali Rizwan Shakir Khan Renato RMaaliw III Arsalan Muhammad Soomar Mohammad Shabaz 2023CAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology2023,8,4:0
9Population structure,age and growth rates of conifer species and their relation to environmental variables at Malam Jabba,Swat District,Pakistan显示文摘This study focuses on age,growth rate and diameter distribution of pine forests in the Malam Jabba area,Swat District,Pakistan.Wood core samples were taken from twenty stands.Picea smithiana was the oldest at 234 years with a 112-cm diameter.Abies pindrow was 125 years with an 80-cm diameter while the oldest Pinus wallichiana was 122 years with 75-cm diameter.The fastest overall growth rate of 1.5±0.1 year/cm was for P.wallichiana on a west-facing aspect,while the slowest 5.8±2.6 year/cm growth was P.smithiana on an eastfacing exposure.P.wallichiana and A.pindrow exhibited marked differences in growth rates over a 5-year period.The highest growth was by P.wallichiana from 1966 to 2006.A.pindrow showed less growth over the same years,such pattern simultaneously reverse from 1911 to 1965.The relationship between diameter and age,diameter and growth rate and age and growth rate were correlated.P.wallichiana and A.pindrow ages were correlated with diameter and growth rates.P.smithiana age was positive correlated with diameter.Generally,topographic and edaphic factors did not show significant correlations with growth rates,although some appreciable correlations were recorded.The growth of P.wallichiana was correlated with elevation while A.pindrow was correlated with maximum water retaining capacity.Diameter and age produced uneven size classes and many size gaps,which could be the result of anthropogenic disturbances.Arsalan Muhammad Faheem Siddiqui Moinuddin Ahmed Syed Shahid Shaukat Alamdar Hussain 2020Journal of Forestry Research2020,31,2:0

11Engineered Nano−Bio Interfaces for Stem Cell Therapy显示文摘Engineered nanomaterials(ENMs)with different topographies provide effective nano−bio interfaces for controlling the differentiation of stem cells.The interaction of stem cells with nanoscale topographies and chemical cues in their microenvironment at the nano−bio interface can guide their fate.The use of nanotopographical cues,in particular nanorods,nanopillars,nanogrooves,nanofibers,and nanopits,as well as biochemical forces mediated factors,including growth factors,cytokines,and extracellular matrix proteins,can significantly impact stem cell differentiation.These factors were seen as very effective in determining the proliferation and spreading of stem cells.The specific outgrowth of stem cells can be decided with size variation of topographic nanomaterial along with variation in matrix stiffness and surface structure like a special arrangement.The precision chemistry enabled controlled design,synthesis,and chemical composition of ENMs can regulate stem cell behaviors.The parameters of size such as aspect ratio,diameter,and pore size of nanotopographic structures are the main factors for specific termination of stem cells.Protein corona nanoparticles(NPs)have shown a powerful facet in stem cell therapy,where combining specific proteins could facilitate a certain stem cell differentiation and cellular proliferation.Nano−bio reactions implicate the interaction between biological entities and nanoparticles,which can be used to tailor the stem cells’culmination.The ion release can also be a parameter to enhance cellular proliferation and to commit the early differentiation of stem cells.Further research is needed to fully understand the mechanisms underlying the interactions between engineered nano−bio interfaces and stem cells and to develop optimized regenerative medicine and tissue engineering designs.Arsalan Umer Muhammad Daniyal Ghouri Theoneste Muyizere Raja Muhammad Aqib Abdul Muhaymin Rong Cai Chunying Chen 2023Precision Chemistry2023,1,6:0
