1The role of pathological tau in synaptic dysfunction in Alzheimer’s diseases显示文摘Alzheimer's disease(AD)is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by progressive cognitive decline,accompanied by amyloid-β(Aβ)overload and hyperphosphorylated tau accumulation in the brain.Synaptic dysfunction,an important pathological hallmark in AD;is recognized as the main cause of the cognitive impairments.Accumulating evidence suggests that synaptic dysfunction could be an early pathological event in AD.Pathological tau,which is detached from axonal microtubules and mislocalized into pre-and postsynaptic neuronal compartments,is suggested to induce synaptic dysfunction in several ways,including reducing mobility and release of presynaptic vesicles,decreasing glutamatergic receptors,impairing the maturation of dendritic spines at postsynaptic terminals,disrupting mitochondrial transport and function in synapses,and promoting the phagocytosis of synapses by microglia.Here,we review the current understanding of how pathological tau mediates synaptic dysfunction and contributes to cognitive decline in AD.We propose that elucidating the mechanism by which pathological tau impairs synaptic function is essential for exploring novel therapeutic strategies for AD.Moxin Wu Manqing Zhang Xiaoping Yin Kai Chen Zhijian Hu Qin Zhou Xianming Cao Zhiying Chen Dan Liu 2021Translational Neurodegeneration2021,10,4:4
2Metasurface-enabled augmented reality display: a review显示文摘Augmented reality(AR)display,which superimposes virtual images on ambient scene,can visually blend the physical world and the digital world and thus opens a new vista for human–machine interaction.AR display is considered as one of the next-generation display technologies and has been drawing huge attention from both academia and industry.Current AR display systems operate based on a combination of various refractive,reflective,and diffractive optical elements,such as lenses,prisms,mirrors,and gratings.Constrained by the underlying physical mechanisms,these conventional elements only provide limited light-field modulation capability and suffer from issues such as bulky volume and considerable dispersion,resulting in large size,severe chromatic aberration,and narrow field of view of the composed AR display system.Recent years have witnessed the emerging of a new type of optical elements—metasurfaces,which are planar arrays of subwavelength electromagnetic structures that feature an ultracompact footprint and flexible light-field modulation capability,and are widely believed to be an enabling tool for overcoming the limitations faced by current AR displays.Here,we aim to provide a comprehensive review on the recent development of metasurface-enabled AR display technology.We first familiarize readers with the fundamentals of AR display,covering its basic working principle,existing conventional-optics-based solutions,as well as the associated pros and cons.We then introduce the concept of optical metasurfaces,emphasizing typical operating mechanisms,and representative phase modulation methods.We elaborate on three kinds of metasurface devices,namely,metalenses,metacouplers,and metaholograms,which have empowered different forms of AR displays.Their physical principles,device designs,and the performance improvement of the associated AR displays are explained in details.In the end,we discuss the existing challenges of metasurface optics for AR display applications and provide our perspective on future research endeavors.Zeyang Liu Danyan Wang Hao Gao Moxin Li Huixian Zhou Cheng Zhang 2023Advanced Photonics2023,5,3:2

13Effect of textural property of coconut shell-based activated carbon on desorption activation energy of benzothiophene显示文摘In this work,the effect of the textural property of activated carbons on desorption activation energy and adsorption capacity for benzothiophene(BT)was investigated.BET surface areas and the textural parameters of three kinds of the activated carbons,namely SY-6,SY-13 and SY-19,were measured with an ASAP 2010 instrument.The desorption activation energies of BT on the activated carbons were determined by temperature-programmed desorption(TPD).Static adsorption experiments were carried out to determine the isotherms of BT on the activated carbons.The influence of the textural property of the activated carbons on desorption activation energy and the adsorption capacity for BT was discussed.Results showed that the BET surface areas of the activated carbons,SY-6,SY-13 and SY-19 were 1106,1070 and 689 m2·g^(-1),respectively,and their average pore diameters were 1.96,2.58 and 2.16 nm,respectively.The TPD results indicated that the desorption activation energy of BT on the activated carbons,SY-6,SY-19 and SY-13 were 58.84,53.02 and 42.57 KJ/mol,respectively.The isotherms showed that the amount of BT adsorbed on the activated carbons followed the order of SY-6>SY-19>SY-13.The smaller the average pore diameter of the activated carbon,the stronger its adsorption for BT and the higher the activation energy required for BT desorption on its surface.The Freundlich adsorption isotherm model can be properly used to formulate the adsorption behavior of BT on the activated carbons.Moxin YU Zhong LI Hongxia XI Qibin XIA Shuwen WANG 2008Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2008,2,3:0
14Tantalum pentoxide:a new material platform for high-performance dielectric metasurface optics in the ultraviolet and visible region显示文摘Dielectric metasurfaces,composed of planar arrays of subwavelength dielectric structures that collectively mimic the operation of conventional bulk optical elements,have revolutionized the field of optics by their potential in constructing high-efficiency and multi-functional optoelectronic systems on chip.The performance of a dielectric metasurface is largely determined by its constituent material,which is highly desired to have a high refractive index,low optical loss and wide bandgap,and at the same time,be fabrication friendly.Here,we present a new material platform based on tantalum pentoxide(Ta2O5)for implementing high-performance dielectric metasurface optics over the ultraviolet and visible spectral region.This wide-bandgap dielectric,exhibiting a high refractive index exceeding 2.1 and negligible extinction coefficient across a broad spectrum,can be easily deposited over large areas with good quality using straightforward physical vapor deposition,and patterned into high-aspect-ratio subwavelength nanostructures through commonly-available fluorine-gas-based reactive ion etching.We implement a series of highefficiency ultraviolet and visible metasurfaces with representative light-field modulation functionalities including polarization-independent high-numerical-aperture lensing,spin-selective hologram projection,and vivid structural color generation,and the devices exhibit operational efficiencies up to 80%.Our work overcomes limitations faced by scalability of commonly-employed metasurface dielectrics and their operation into the visible and ultraviolet spectral range,and provides a novel route towards realization of high-performance,robust and foundry-manufacturable metasurface optics.Cheng Zhang Lu Chen Zhelin Lin Junyeob Song Danyan Wang Moxin Li Okan Koksal Zi Wang Grisha Spektor David Carlson Henri J.Lezec Wenqi Zhu Scott Papp Amit Agrawal 2024Light(Science & Applications)2024,13,1:0
15Research on Spatial Pattern of Urban Landscape in Pingle Ancient Town显示文摘Protection and development of historical and cultural ancient town have always been the hot topic.With the continuous deepening of the study of ancient town and the rise of the landscape design subject,systematic,professional information and drawings about the landscape of ancient town are relatively scarce.To make up for the blank,Pingle Ancient Town in Chengdu was taken as the research object,and systemic research on the spatial pattern of urban landscape was conducted.In this paper,landscape features were studied in the scale of the space enclosed by urban boundaries.According to the spatial structure,the landscape features were divided into fi ve aspects:boundary,axis,skeleton,group domain and base,and detailed study was conducted in the changes of time axis.The preliminary research methods were mainly literature and site survey and mapping,and the history,environment and style of Pingle Ancient Town were discussed by referring to historical classics,journal papers and books.In the middle stage,surveying and mapping improvement work was carried out.In the later stage,papers were analyzed and written.The results of this paper included detailed mapping atlas,analysis atlas and text summary on spatial pattern of urban landscape.JIAO Libei PANG Zhiwei DU Yuan LI Moxin LIU Haoran WU Ran 2020Journal of Landscape Research2020,12,5:0
16A Novel Ship Wake Detection Algorithm Based on WTHT and Radon Transform显示文摘This paper proposes a novel ship wake detection algorithm based on the White Top-hat Transform(WTHT)and the Radon transform,which aims to improve the contrast between the ship wake and the background so as to improve the detection performance on Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR)images.The proposed algorithm includes two major processes,and one is to improve the contrast and another one is to locate the ship wake.In high sea state conditions,the contrast of ship wake and background can be very low,which makes it difficult to detect.In the first step,the proposed contrast improvement algorithm is applied to improving the contrast which helps for improving the detection performance.An attribute filter based on edge detection result is adopted here.In the second step the contrast improved image is transformed into the Radon domain followed by peak extraction process to find the wake,the WTHT is used once more in this step.Finally,in the last step,the wake is overlapped on the original image.Experimental results on Tiangong-2 Interferometric Imaging Radar Altimeter(InIRA)images are presented and compared with that obtained by using the classical algorithm,and in this way,the better performance of our algorithm is demonstrated.ZHAO Moxin ZHANG Yunhua DONG Xiao LI Dong YANG Jiefang 2021空间科学学报2021,41,5:0
