| 1 | Accelerated design and characterization of non-uniform cellular materials via a machine-learning based framework显示文摘Cellular materials,widely found in engineered and nature systems,are highly dependent on their geometric arrangement.A nonuniform arrangement could lead to a significant variation of mechanical properties while bringing challenges in material design.Here,this proof-of-concept study demonstrates a machine-learning based framework with the capability of accelerated characterization and pattern generation.Results showed that the proposed framework is capable of predicting the mechanical response curve of any given geometric pattern within the design domain under appropriate neural network architecture and parameters.Additionally,the framework is capable of generating matching geometric patterns for a targeted response through a databank constructed from our machine learning model.The accuracy of the predictions was verified with finite element simulations and the sources of errors were identified.Overall,our machine-learning based framework can boost the design efficiency of cellular materials at unit level,and open new avenues for the programmability of function at system level. | Chunping Ma Zhiwei Zhang Benjamin Luce Simon Pusateri Binglin Xie Mohammad H.Rafiei Nan Hu | 2020 | npj Computational Materials2020,,1: | 3 |

| 3 | Impact of scientific and technological innovation policies on innovation efficiency of high-technology industrial parks-A dual analysis with linear regression and QCA显示文摘Scientific and technological innovation policies play a critical role in the innovative development of high-technology industrial parks.However,it remains unclear how scientific and technological innovation policies impact the innovation efficiency of hightechnology industrial parks and what the impact pathways are.An in-depth investigation of this topic can give an insight into the inherent relation between the scientific and technological innovation policies and technological innovation.By conducting a theoretical analysis,this study empirically analyzed the impact of scientific and technological innovation policies on the innovation efficiency of high-technology industrial parks.The main research methods applied in this study were linear regression and qualitative comparative analysis(QCA).The results showed that the policy targets drove innovation efficiency in a relatively minor way.Among all policy tools,the demand-based policy tools had the most significant influence on innovation efficiency.The supply-based and environment-based policy tools had notable positive impacts during the lag periods of policies.The policy mix pathways for scientific and technological innovation policies that impact innovation efficiency come in four forms,namely,the targets-directed,demand-driven,supplydominated environment optimization,and environment-dominated comprehensive pathways.Therefore,this study put forward proposals on classifying and refining the scientific and technological innovation policies and optimizing the policy mix-driven models. | Jinglei Wang Xiao Ma Yixuan Zhao Jing Zhao Mohammad Heydari | 2022 | International Journal of Innovation Studies2022,6,3: | 2 |

| 11 | Utilization of molten chloride salt derived from MSWI fly ash washing as energy storage material:thermophysical properties and corrosion behavior显示文摘Fly ash,as a byproduct of municipal solid waste incineration,contains several kinds of pollutants,especially dissolvable salts that cause a severe challenge for fly ash disposal.Washing combined with cement kiln co-processing for fly ash disposal has been applied in China.After washing,the wastewater was evaporated to produce fly ash salt(FAS).In this study,FAS was mixed the KCl and LiCl to be used as molten chloride salt for energy storage material.Twenty-three types of molten salts with various ratios of FAS-KCl-LiCl were evaluated.Thermophysical properties(melting point and latent heat)and thermal stability of these salts were characterized.The increase in FAS fraction decreased the latent heat of molten salts.Among the tested samples,the best compatibility ratio of FAS:KCl:LiCl was 10:50:40(%,in weight),with latent heat of 108.7 J/g and melting point of 333℃.This molten salt also showed good thermal stability after 1–13 h of thermal experiments,and the mass loss was less than 2%after 5 heating cycles at 600℃.By corrosion test,FAS-KCl-LiCl(10:50:40,%in weight)could be more safely used in vessels made of nickel-based alloy,but it might cause corrosion risk for stainless steel. | Mi Yan Yayong Yang Jiahao Jiang Rendong Zheng Yi Ma Mohammad Khalid Haryo Wibowo | 2022 | Waste Disposal and Sustainable Energy2022,4,3: | 1 |

| 13 | Use of specific acupuncture techniques in lingering nummular eczema:A case report显示文摘Background:Nummular eczema(NE)is an inflammatory skin disease characterized by pruritic coinshaped lesions and a long-lasting and easy-relapsing course,which severely decreases patients’quality of life.This case was designed to observe the effects of specific acupuncture techniques on pruritic NE management.Case presentation:A 22-year-old female was first diagnosed with pruritic NE three years earlier.No allergies were found in the patch test;while emotional stress would trigger and aggravate the NE.External application of 0.1%tacrolimus failed to reverse this condition over a long period of treatment.Treatment&outcomes:An individualized acupuncture treatment protocol was identified.Half needling and encircling needling were applied at local eczematous lesions,with routine needling at meridian points,once per week,for 12 treatment sessions.All outcome measures,including the Eczema Area and Severity Index,Visual Analogue Scale score for pruritus,Self-Rating Anxiety Score,and Dermatology Quality Life Index,substantially improved over 6 months from pre-treatment to 3 months posttreatment.Conclusion:Acupuncture might be a promising non-pharmacological treatment method for patients with NE,especially for those with emotional stress.A randomized controlled trial with an adequate sample size and rigorous study design is required to verify the results of the study. | Junxiang Wang Liangxiao Ma Mohammad Reza Afshari Fard Ali Mohammadi | 2021 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2021,8,2: | 1 |
