| 2 | Platelet-rich plasma accelerates skin wound healing by promoting re-epithelialization显示文摘Background:Autologous platelet-rich plasma(PRP)has been suggested to be effective for wound healing.However,evidence for its use in patients with acute and chronic wounds remains insufficient.The aims of this study were to comprehensively examine the effectiveness,synergy and possible mechanism of PRP-mediated improvement of acute skin wound repair.Methods:Full-thickness wounds were made on the back of C57/BL6 mice.PRP or saline solution as a control was administered to the wound area.Wound healing rate,local inflammation,angiogenesis,re-epithelialization and collagen deposition were measured at days 3,5,7 and 14 after skin injury.The biological character of epidermal stem cells(ESCs),which reflect the potential for re-epithelialization,was further evaluated in vitro and in vivo.Results:PRP strongly improved skin wound healing,which was associated with regulation of local inflammation,enhancement of angiogenesis and re-epithelialization.PRP treatment significantly reduced the production of inflammatory cytokines interleukin-17A and interleukin-1β.An increase in the local vessel intensity and enhancement of re-epithelialization were also observed in animals with PRP administration and were associated with enhanced secretion of growth factors such as vascular endothelial growth factor and insulin-like growth factor-1.Moreover,PRP treatment ameliorated the survival and activated the migration and proliferation of primary cultured ESCs,and these effects were accompanied by the differentiation of ESCs into adult cells following the changes of CD49f and keratin 10 and keratin 14.Conclusion:PRP improved skin wound healing by modulating inflammation and increasing angiogenesis and re-epithelialization.However,the underlying regulatory mechanism needs to be investigated in the future.Our data provide a preliminary theoretical foundation for the clinical administration of PRP in wound healing and skin regeneration. | Pengcheng Xu Yaguang Wu Lina Zhou Zengjun Yang Xiaorong Zhang Xiaohong Hu Jiacai Yang Mingying Wang Binjie Wang Gaoxing Luo Weifeng He Biao Cheng | 2020 | Burns & Trauma2020,8,1: | 8 |
| 3 | Status and development of high-power laser facilities at the NLHPLP显示文摘In this paper, we review the status of the multifunctional experimental platform at the National Laboratory of High Power Laser and Physics(NLHPLP). The platform, including the SG-II laser facility, SG-II 9th beam, SG-II upgrade(SG-II UP) facility, and SG-II 5 PW facility, is operational and available for interested scientists studying inertial confinement fusion(ICF) and a broad range of high-energy-density physics. These facilities can provide important experimental capabilities by combining different pulse widths of nanosecond, picosecond, and femtosecond scales. In addition, the SG-II UP facility, consisting of a single petawatt system and an eight-beam nanosecond system, is introduced including several laser technologies that have been developed to ensure the performance of the facility. | 4 | Characterization of odorous charge and photochemical reactivity of VOC emissions from a full-scale food waste treatment plant in China显示文摘Food waste treatment plants(FWTPs) are usually associated with odorous nuisance and health risks, which are partially caused by volatile organic compound(VOC) emissions. This study investigated the VOC emissions from a selected full-scale FWTP in China. The feedstock used in this plant was mainly collected from local restaurants. For a year, the FWTP was closely monitored on specific days in each season. Four major indoor treatment units of the plant, including the storage room, sorting/crushing room, hydrothermal hydrolysis unit, and aerobic fermentation unit, were chosen as the monitoring locations.The highest mean concentration of total VOC emissions was observed in the aerobic fermentation unit at 21,748.2–31,283.3 μg/m3, followed by the hydrothermal hydrolysis unit at 10,798.1–23,144.4 μg/m3. The detected VOC families included biogenic compounds(oxygenated compounds, hydrocarbons, terpenes, and organosulfur compounds) and abiogenic compounds(aromatic hydrocarbons and halocarbons). Oxygenated compounds,particularly alcohols, were the most abundant compounds in all samples. With the use of odor index analysis and principal components analysis, the hydrothermal hydrolysis and aerobic fermentation units were clearly distinguished from the pre-treatment units, as characterized by their higher contributions to odorous nuisance. Methanthiol was the dominant odorant in the hydrothermal hydrolysis unit, whereas aldehyde was the dominant odorant in the aerobic fermentation unit. Terpenes, specifically limonene, had the highest level of propylene equivalent concentration during the monitoring periods. | 5 | Neogene Paleoseismic Events and the Shanwang Biota's Burial in the Linqu Area,Shandong Province,China显示文摘Several paleoseismic events are recorded in the Neogene Linqu Group, exposed in the Linqu area, Shandong Province, China. The events were interpreted on the basis of fieldwork and laboratory analysis, which showed the presence of seismites with plastically deformed soft-sediment deformation structures in the Shanwang Formation, and of seismic volcanic rocks in the Yaoshan Formation which show brittle deformation. The earthquake-triggered soft-sediment deformations in the seismites include load structures, ball-and-pillow structures, flame structures, pillow-like beds, boudinage structures, slump folds, syn-depositional faults, veins of liquefied sand, and dikes of liquefied sandy lime-mud. The seismic activity is also reflected in what might be called ‘brittle seismites'; these originated when, under the influence of seismic vibrations, semi-consolidated conglomerate was shattered. Moreover, volcanic activity is related to intense earthquakes that affected basalts intercalated with sand layers; these successions are known as ‘seismic volcanic rocks', which are characterized by veins of liquefied sand intruding the basalts. All above traces of paleoseismic activity were left from one single time span of 4 Ma with active seismicity that took place 14–10 Ma. This time span is known as ‘the Linqu Neogene Paleoseismic Active Period', which is divided into four paleoseismic episodes, which were responses to tectonic extension and basin rifting in this area. It even includes the activity of the Yishu Fault Zone during the Miocene and the Neogene. The ratios of trace elements in the seismites, w(La)/w(Sc) and w(La)/w(Th) are higher than the average value of the upper crust, but w(Th)/w(Sc) is lower; this is geochemical evidence for the basin rifting that resulted in a high sedimentation rate. The intense and frequent paleo-earthquakes are held responsible for the rapid burial of the Shanwang Biota. | 6 | Noise-sidebands-free and ultra-low-RIN 1.5 μm single-frequency fiber laser towards coherent optical detection显示文摘A noise-sidebands-free and ultra-low relative intensity noise(RIN) 1.5 μm single-frequency fiber laser is demonstrated for the first time to our best knowledge. Utilizing a self-injection locking framework and a booster optical amplifier, the noise sidebands with relative amplitudes as high as 20 dB are completely suppressed.The RIN is remarkably reduced by more than 64 dB at the relaxation oscillation peak to retain below-150 dB∕Hz in a frequency range from 75 kHz to 50 MHz, while the quantum noise limit is -152.9 d B∕Hz.Furthermore, a laser linewidth narrower than 600 Hz, a polarization-extinction ratio of more than 23 dB, and an optical signal-to-noise ratio of more than 73 dB are acquired simultaneously. The prevalence of PACG (0.41%) in chinese is between the Caucasian and Eskimos, and chronic type is the dominant type in PACG. However, with the economic development and medical care improvements, the prevalence condition of PACG may change; several researches discovered that the mechanism of PACG, especially the chronic type, is not only because of pupil-blocking but also closely related to the mechanism of crowding of peripheral iris and the anterior location of the ciliary body. We supposed that PACG can be divided into several subtypes based on this machnism. | 13 | Molecular breeding of water lily: engineering cold stress tolerance into tropical water lily显示文摘Water lilies(order Nymphaeales)are rich in both economic and cultural values.They grow into aquatic herbs,and are divided into two ecological types:tropical and hardy.Although tropical water lilies have more ornamental and medicinal values compared to the hardy water lily,the study and utilization of tropical water lilies in both landscaping and pharmaceutical use is greatly hindered due to their limited planting area.Tropical water lilies cannot survive the winter in areas beyond 24.3°N latitude.Here,the transgenic pipeline through the pollen-tube pathway was generated for water lily for the first time.To improve cold stress tolerance of tropical water lilies,a gene encoding choline oxidase(CodA)driven by a cold stress-inducible promoter was transformed into a tropical water lily through the pollen-tube transformation.Six independent transgenic lines were tested for survival rate during two winter seasons from 2015 to 2017 in Hangzhou(30.3°N latitude).PCR and southern blot detection revealed that the CodA gene had been integrated into the genome.Reverse transcription PCR showed that CodA gene was induced after cold stress treatment,and further quantitative real-time PCR revealed different expressions among six 4 lines and line 3 had the highest expression.Multiple physiological experiments showed that after cold stress treatment,both the conductivity and malondialdehyde(MDA)levels from transgenic plants were significantly lower than those of non-transgenic plants,whereas the content of betaine and the activity of superoxide dismutase,catalase,and peroxidase were higher than those from non-transgenic plants.These results suggest that expression of exogenous CodA gene significantly improved the cold stress tolerance of tropical water lilies through a wide range of physiological alterations.Our results currently expanded a six-latitude cultivating area of the tropical water lilies.These results not only illuminate the bright future for water lily breeding but will also facilitate the functional genomic studies. | Cuiwei Yu Guirong Qiao Wenmin Qiu Dongbei Yu Shirong Zhou Yan Shen Guanchun Yu Jing Jiang Xiaojiao Han Mingying Liu Liangsheng Zhang Fei Chen Yuchu Chen Renying Zhuo | 2018 | Horticulture Research2018,5,1: | 4 |

| 18 | Single-shot ultrafast multiplexed coherent diffraction imaging显示文摘Classic interferometry was commonly adopted to realize ultrafast phase imaging using pulsed lasers;however, the reference beam required makes the optical structure of the imaging system very complex, and high temporal resolution was reached by sacrificing spatial resolution. This study presents a type of single-shot ultrafast multiplexed coherent diffraction imaging technique to realize ultrafast phase imaging with both high spatial and temporal resolutions using a simple optical setup, and temporal resolution of nanosecond to femtosecond scale can be realized using lasers of different pulse durations. This technique applies a multiplexed algorithm to avoid the data division in space domain or frequency domain and greatly improves the spatial resolution. | 19 | Target alignment in the Shen-Guang Ⅱ Upgrade laser facility显示文摘The Shen-Guang II Upgrade(SG-Ⅱ-U) laser facility consists of eight high-power nanosecond laser beams and one shortpulse picosecond petawatt laser. It is designed for the study of inertial confinement fusion(ICF), especially for conducting fast ignition(FI) research in China and other basic science experiments. To perform FI successfully with hohlraum targets containing a golden cone, the long-pulse beam and cylindrical hohlraum as well as the short-pulse beam and cone target alignment must satisfy tight specifications(30 and 20 μm rms for each case). To explore new ICF ignition targets with six laser entrance holes(LEHs), a rotation sensor was adapted to meet the requirements of a three-dimensional target and correct beam alignment. In this paper, the strategy for aligning the nanosecond beam based on target alignment sensor(TAS) is introduced and improved to meet requirements of the picosecond lasers and the new six LEHs hohlraum targets in the SG-II-U facility. | 20 | Actin-binding Rho activating protein is expressed in the central nervous system of normal adult rats显示文摘Previous studies show that actin-binding Rho activating protein (Abra) is expressed in cardiomyocytes and vascular smooth muscle cells.In this study,we investigated the expression profile of Abra in the central nervous system of normal adult rats by confocal immunofluorescence.Results showed that Abra immunostaining was located in neuronal nuclei,cytoplasm and processes in the central nervous system,with the strongest staining in the nuclei;in the cerebral cortex,Abra positive neuronal bodies and processes were distributed in six cortical layers including molecular layer,external granular layer,external pyramidal layer,internal granular layer,internal pyramidal layer and polymorphic layer;in the hippocampus,the cell bodies of Abra positive neurons were distributed evenly in pyramidal layer and granular layer,with positive processes in molecular layer and orien layer;in the cerebellar cortex,Abra staining showed the positive neuronal cell bodies in Purkinje cell layer and granular layer and positive processes in molecular layer;in the spinal cord,Abra-immunopositive products covered the whole gray matter and white matter;co-localization studies showed that Abra was co-stained with F-actin in neuronal cytoplasm and processes,but weakly in the nuclei.In addition,in the hippocampus,Abra was co-stained with F-actin only in neuronal processes,but not in the cell body.This study for the first time presents a comprehensive overview of Abra expression in the central nervous system,providing insights for further investigating the role of Abra in the mature central nervous system. | Lihua Liu Mingying Luo Baolin Yang Xiaoqiong Wu Wu Zhu Yinglu Guan Weijun Cai Kerstin Troidl Wolfgang Schaper Jutta Schaper | 2012 | Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,13: | 2 |
