2Tissue differential expression of lycopene β-cyclase gene in papaya显示文摘Carotene pigments in flowers and fruits are distinct features related to fitness advantages such as attracting insects forpollination and birds for seed dispersal.In papaya,the flesh color of the fruit is considered a quality trait that correlateswith nutritional value and is linked to shelf-life of the fruit.To elucidate the carotenoid biosynthesis pathway in papaya,we took a candidate gene approach to clone the lycopene β-cyclase gene,LCY-B.A papaya LCY-B ortholog,cpLCY-B,was successfully identified from both cDNA and bacterial artificial chromosome(BAC)libraries and complete genomicsequence was obtained from the positive BAC including the promoter region.This cpLCY-B shared 80% amino acididentity with citrus LCY-B.However,full genomic sequences from both yellow- and red-fleshed papaya were identical.Quantitative real-time PCR(qPCR)revealed similar levels of expression at six different maturing stages of fruits forboth yellow-and red-fleshed genotypes.Further expression analyses of cpLCY-B showed that its expression levels wereseven- and three-fold higher in leaves and,respectively,flowers than in fruits,suggesting that cpLCY-B is down-regulatedduring the fruit ripening process.Rachel L Skelton Qingyi Yu Rajeswari Srinivasan Richard Manshardt Paul H Moore Ray Ming 2006Cell Research2006,16,8:8
3Modification of Inclusions in Liquid Iron by Mg Treatment显示文摘Effect of Mg addition on the compositions of inclusions were studied. The results show that Mg can minimize the inclusions of steel obviously. Under the present condition, Mg deoxidation products of low-S content experimental steel would be changed in the order of Al2O3→MgAl2O4→Mg–Al–O–S→Mg–O–S. Mg deoxidation products of high-S content experimental steel generate Mg–S(–O)+MnS type inclusions, except for usual oxysulfide. And it is consistent with the results of thermodynamics calculation. Mg is preferred to react with oxide, compared with sulfide. The reaction reaches the equilibrium after 1 min or 5 min. 4Shape and position of Earth's bow shock near-lunar orbit based on ARTEMIS data显示文摘Earth's bow shock is the result of interaction between the supersonic solar wind and Earth's magnetopause. However, data limitations mean the model of the shape and position of the bow shock are based largely on near-Earth satellite data. The model of the bow shock in the distant magnetotail and other factors that affect the bow shock, such as the interplanetary magnetic field(IMF) B_y, remain unclear. Here, based on the bow shock crossings of ARTEMIS from January 2011 to January 2015, new coefficients of the tail-flaring angle a of the Chao model(one of the most accurate models currently available) were obtained by fitting data from the middle-distance magnetotail(near-lunar orbit, geocentric distance -20R_E>X>-50R_E). In addition, the effects of the IMF B_y on the flaring angle a were analyzed. Our results showed that:(1) the new fitting coefficients of the Chao model in the middle-distance magnetotail are more consistent with the observed results;(2) the tail-flaring angle a of the bow shock increases as the absolute value of the IMF B_y increases. Moreover, positive IMF B_y has a greater effect than negative IMF B_y on flaring angle. 5An overview on GNSS carrier-phase time transfer research显示文摘Global navigation satellite system(GNSS)carrier phase observations are two orders of higher accuracy than pseudo-range observations,and they are less affected by multipath besides.As a result,the time transfer accuracy can reach 0.1 ns,and the frequency transfer stability can reach 1×10^-15 with carrier phase(CP)method,therefore CP method is considered the most accurate and promising time transfer technology.The focus of this paper is to present a comprehensive summary of CP method,with specific attention directed toward day-boundary clock jump,ambiguity resolution(AR),multi-system time transfer and real-time time transfer.Day-boundary clock jump is essentially caused by pseudo-range noise.Several approaches were proposed to solve the problem,such as continuously processing strategy,sliding batch and bidirectional filtering methods which were compared in this study.Additionally,researches on AR in CP method were introduced.Many scholars attempted to fix the single-difference ambiguities to improve the time transfer result,however,owing to the uncalibrated phase delay(UPD)was not considered,the current studies on AR in CP method were still immature.Moreover,because four GNSS systems could be used for time-transfer currently,which was helpful to increase the accuracy and reliability,the researches on multi-system time transfer were reviewed.What’s more,real-time time transfer attracted more attention nowadays,the preliminary research results were presented.ZHANG Ming Lü JinHu BAI ZhengDong JIANG ZhiQi CHEN BoBo 2020Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,4:3

7Numerical simulation of flow focusing pattern and morphological changes in two-phase flow inside nozzle显示文摘The flow focusing nozzle is a new type of nozzle that performs effective atomization of the discrete phase by means of high-speed motion of the continuous phase.The flow pattern and its morphological changes have a significant effect on the atomization, but the influence of different parameters on the morphological change of the flow pattern remains unclear.The flow focusing pattern and morphological changes in the two-phase flow inside the nozzle were simulated numerically, based on the volume of fluid method.The results demonstrate that the ratio of the nozzle-to-capillary distance and capillary diameter, the gas–liquid velocity ratio, and capillary diameter have significant effects on the flow pattern.When the ratio of the nozzle-to-capillary distance H and capillary diameter D increases, or the capillary diameter D increases, the flow pattern tends to transform into a laminar form; however, when the gas–liquid velocity ratio V increases, the flow pattern tends to transform into a turbulence form.Furthermore, we define the cone-shaped expansion rate, cone-shaped focusing rate,and cone angle in order to study the morphological changes in the cone shape inside the nozzle.The results indicate that the morphological change of the cone shape and flow pattern transformation is interrelated.When the cone shape tends to be unstable, the flow pattern changes towards flow blurring, whereas, a stable cone indicates that the flow tends to exhibit a droplet pattern.Jin Zhao Zhi Ning Ming Lü Geng Wang 2019Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2019,27,1:2
8Activation of bone morphogenetic protein-6 gene transcription in MCF-7 cells by estrogen显示文摘Background Bone morphogenetic protein-6 (BMP-6) is closely correlated with tumor differentiation and skeletal metastasis. Estrogen is considered as a stimulant for the initiation and promotion of breast cancer. Previous studies demonstrated that 17β-estadiol (E2) can selectively increase the expression of BMP-6. This experiment is designed to detect the molecular mechanism of estrogen activating BMP-6 gene transcription in human estrogen receptor positive (ER+) breast cancer cell line MCF-7. Methods After the treatment of MCF-7 cells with E2 at different concentrations (10-11 mol/L, 10-9 mol/L, 10-7 mol/L), the BMP-6 expression level was examined through real-time polymerase chain reaction. Through restriction enzyme digestion, human BMP-6 1.2 kb long promoter, BMP-6 0.7 kb long promoter was cloned into pGL-3 basic vector; after the treatment with 10-7 mol/L E2, luciferase activities of the two promoters were detected. Site-directed mutagenesis was performed to obtain the mutant forms of estrogen response element half-site (1/2 ERE) element and Sp1 sites in the BMP-6 promoter, the activities of these mutant form promoters were detected following the methods mentioned above. Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assay was also used to confirm the binding of estrogen receptor α (Erα) on BMP-6 promoter in the presence of E2. Results E2 dose dependently increased BMP-6 mRNA expression in human ER+ breast cancer cell line MCF-7. At a dose of 10-7 mol/L E2, human BMP-6 1.2 kb promoter activity was increased by 90% compared with the control group treated with ethanol (P<0.05). Both the 1/2 ERE response element mutant form and the Sp1 site mutant form of the BMP-6 promoter abolished the activation of the BMP-6 promoter's response to E2. Through ChIP assay, the binding of Erα on 1/2 ERE response element in BMP-6 promoter was further validated. 9Three-phase Fluid Numerical Simulation and Water Modeling Experiment of Supersonic Oxygen Jet Impingement on Molten Bath in EAF显示文摘By means of the computational fluid dynamics software Fluent 6.3,a mathematical model of three-dimensional three-phase fluid flow field in the molten bath of electric arc furnace(EAF)with side accessorial oxygen lances was developed to study the transient phenomena of oxygen jet impingement on the molten steel and the molten slag.The water modeling experiment was carried out to verify the simulation results.The impingement of the supersonic oxygen jet caused impact dent on the molten steel surface accordingly.The area of impact dent changed almost in linear relationship to flow rate of oxygen jet,which can be expressed by a deduced mathematical equation.And the relationship between the impact force of oxygen jet and the correspondingly formed apparent static pressure on molten bath was obtained,which was in linear relationship and a direct proportion,and can also be expressed by a deduced mathematical equation.Shao-chun CHEN Rong ZHU Jing-she LI Chun-lai HE Ming Lü 2014Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2014,21,6:2
10Breakup of Cavitation Bubbles within the Diesel Droplet显示文摘Supercavitation in the diesel nozzle increases the instability of droplets in part due to the two-phase mixture,while the effect of cavitation bubbles on the instability of drops is still unclear.In order to investigate the breakup of cavitation bubbles within the diesel droplet,a new mathematical model describing the disturbance growth rate of the diesel bubble instability is developed.The new mathematical model is applied to predict the effects of fluids viscosity on the stability of cavitation bubbles.The predicted values reveal that the comprehensive effect of fluids viscosity makes cavitation bubbles more stable.Compared with the viscosities of air and cavitation bubble,the diesel droplet’s viscosity plays a dominant role on the stability of cavitation bubbles.Furthermore,based on the modified bubble breakup criterion,the effects of bubble growth speed,sound speed,droplet viscosity,droplet density,and bubble-droplet radius ratio on the breakup time and the breakup radius of cavitation bubbles are studied respectively.It is found that a bubble with large bubble-droplet radius ratio has the initial condition for breaking easily.For a given bubble-droplet radius ratio(0.2),as the bubble growth speed increases(from 2 m/s to 60 m/s),the bubble breakup time decreases(from 3.59μs to 0.17μs)rapidly.Both the greater diesel droplet viscosity and the greater diesel droplet density result in the increase of the breakup time.With increasing initial bubble-droplet radius ratio(from 0.2 to 0.8),the bubble breakup radius decreases(from 8.86μm to 6.23μm).There is a limited breakup radius for a bubble with a certain initial bubble-droplet radius ratio.The mathematical model and the modified bubble breakup criterion are helpful to improve the study on the breakup mechanism of the secondary diesel droplet under the condition of supercavitation.L Ming NING Zhi YAN Kai FU Juan SONG Yunchao SUN Chunhua 2014Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2014,27,1:2
