3Comparing outcomes for endoscopic submucosal dissection between Eastern and Western countries:A systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘AIM To compare endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD) outcomes between Eastern and Western countries.METHODS A systematic review and meta-analysis was performed using Pub Med,MEDLINE,Web of Science,CINAHL and EBM reviews to identify studies published between 1990 and February 2016. The primary outcome was the efficacy of ESD based on information about either curative resection,en bloc or R0 resection rates. Secondary outcomes were complication rates,local recurrence rates and procedure times. RESULTS Overall,238 publications including 84318 patients and 89512 gastrointestinal lesions resected using ESD were identified. 90% of the identified studies reporting ESDon 87296 lesions were conducted in Eastern countries and 10% of the identified studies reporting ESD outcomes in 2216 lesions were from Western countries. Meta-analyses showed higher pooled percentage of curative,en bloc,and R0 resection in the Eastern studies; 82%(CI: 81%-84%),95%(CI: 94%-96%) and 89%(CI: 88%-91%) compared to Western studies; 71%(CI: 61%-81%),85%(CI: 81%-89%) and 74%(CI: 67%-81%) respectively. The percentage of perforation requiring surgery was significantly greater in the Western countries(0.53%; CI: 0.10-1.16) compared to Eastern countries(0.01%; CI: 0%-0.05%). ESD procedure times were longer in Western countries(110 min vs 77 min).CONCLUSION Eastern countries show better ESD outcomes compared to Western countries. 6Knockdown of MLO genes reduces susceptibility to powdery mildew in grapevine显示文摘Erysiphe necator is the causal agent of powdery mildew(PM),one of the most destructive diseases of grapevine.PM is controlled by sulfur-based and synthetic fungicides,which every year are dispersed into the environment.This is why PM-resistant varieties should become a priority for sustainable grapevine and wine production.PM resistance can be achieved in other crops by knocking out susceptibility S-genes,such as those residing at genetic loci known as MLO(Mildew Locus O).All MLO S-genes of dicots belong to the phylogenetic clade V,including grapevine genes VvMLO7,11 and 13,which are upregulated during PM infection,and VvMLO6,which is not upregulated.Before adopting a gene-editing approach to knockout candidate S-genes,the evidence that loss of function of MLO genes can reduce PM susceptibility is necessary.This paper reports the knockdown through RNA interference of VvMLO6,7,11 and 13.The knockdown of VvMLO6,11 and 13 did not decrease PM severity,whereas the knockdown of VvMLO7 in combination with VvMLO6 and VvMLO11 reduced PM severity up to 77%.The knockdown of VvMLO7 and VvMLO6 seemed to be important for PM resistance,whereas a role for VvMLO11 does not seem likely.Cell wall appositions(papillae)were present in both resistant and susceptible lines in response to PM attack.Thirteen genes involved in defense were less upregulated in infected mlo plants,highlighting the early mlo-dependent disruption of PM invasion.Stefano Pessina Luisa Lenzi Michele Perazzolli Manuela Campa Lorenza Dalla Costa Simona Urso Giampiero Valè Francesco Salamini Riccardo Velasco Mickael Malnoy 2016Horticulture Research2016,3,1:7

8Advanced list scheduling heuristic for task scheduling with communication contention for parallel embedded systems显示文摘Modern embedded systems tend to use multiple cores or processors for processing parallel applications. This paper indeed aims at task scheduling with communication contention for parallel embedded systems and proposes three advanced techniques to improve the list scheduling heuristic. Five groups of node levels (two existing groups and three new groups) are firstly used as node priorities to generate node lists. Then the critical child technique improves the selection of a processor in the scheduling process. Finally, the communication delay technique enlarges the idle time intervals on communication links. We also propose an advanced dynamic list scheduling heuristic by combining the three techniques. Experimental results show that the combined advanced dynamic heuristic is efficient to shorten the schedule length for most of the randomly generated DAGs in the cases of medium and high communication. 9Hip joint center localisation: A biomechanical application to hip arthroplasty population显示文摘AIM: To determine hip joint center(HJC) location on hip arthroplasty population comparing predictive and functional approaches with radiographic measurements.METHODS: The distance between the HJC and the mid-pelvis was calculated and compared between the three approaches. The localisation error between the predictive and functional approach was compared using the radiographic measurements as the reference. The operated leg was compared to the non-operated leg.RESULTS: A significant difference was found for the distance between the HJC and the mid-pelvis when comparing the predictive and functional method. The functional method leads to fewer errors. A statistical difference was found for the localization error between the predictive and functional method. 12Vapor and Pressure Sensors Based on Cellulose Nanofibers and Carbon Nanotubes Aerogel with Thermoelectric Properties显示文摘In this work,thermally insulating and electrically conductive aerogels were prepared from cellulose nanofibers(CNF)and carbon nanotubes(CNTs)by environmentally friendly freeze-drying process.The thermal conductivity of neat CNF aerogel is 24 mW/(m・K)with a density of 0.025 g/cm3.With the addition of CNTs into CNF aerogel,the electrical conductivity was significantly increased while the thermal conductivity was increased to 38 mW/(m・K).Due to these interesting properties,the Seebeck coefficient and the figure of merit(ZT)of the CNF/CNTs aerogels were measured and showed that CNF/CNTs aerogel thermoelectric properties can be improved.The compressibility and electrical resistance of the CNF/CNTs aerogel highlighted its pressure-responsive property.A set of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)were exposed to aerogels to monitor the resistance change.The CNF/CNTs aerogel showed high sensitivity and good response to both nonpolar and polar vapors due to the absorption by both CNF and CNTs networks.The prepared CNF/CNTs aerogel is therefore a good candidate for thermal insulation,thermoelectric material,VOCs sensing,and pressure-sensing applications.Rajendran Muthuraj Abhishek Sachan Mickael Castro Jean-Francois Feller Bastien Seantier Yves Grohens 2018Journal of Renewable Materials2018,6,3:2
13In vitro gastrointestinal digestion study of two wheat cultivars and evaluation of xylanase supplementation显示文摘Background:The filamentous fungus Talaromyces versatilis is known to improve the metabolizable energy of wheatbased poultry diets thanks to its ability to produce a pool of CAZymes and particularly endo-β(1,4)-xylanases.In order to appreciate their in vivo mode of action,the supplementation effect of two of its xylanases,XynD and XynB from families GH10 and GH11 respectively,have been evaluated on two different wheat cultivars Caphorn and Isengrain,which were chosen amongst 6 varieties for their difference in non starch polysaccharides content and arabinoxylan composition.Results:Polysaccharides digestion was followed during 6 h along the digestive tract using the TNO gastrointestinal model-1,to mimic monogastric metabolism.Polysaccharide degradation appeared to occur mainly at the jejunal level and was higher with Isengrain than with Caphorn.For both cultivars,XynD and XynB supplementation increased notably the amount of reducing end sugars into the jejuno-ileal dialysates,which has been confirmed by a valuable increase of the soluble glucose into the jejunal dialysates.Conclusions:The amounts of arabinose and xylose into the dialysates and ileal deliveries increased consequently mainly for Caphorn,suggesting that XynD and XynB supplementation in wheat-based diet could alleviate the anti-nutritional effects of arabinoxylans by limiting the physical entrapment of starch and could increase the available metabolizable energy.Mickael Lafond Bernard Bouza Sandrine Eyrichine Friedrich Rouffineau Luc Saulnier Thierry Giardina Estelle Bonnin Aurélie Preynat 2015Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2015,6,3:2
