2Quaternion Integers Based Higher Length Cyclic Codes and Their Decoding Algorithm显示文摘The decoding algorithm for the correction of errors of arbitrary Mannheim weight has discussed for Lattice constellations and codes from quadratic number fields.Following these lines,the decoding algorithms for the correction of errors of n=p−12 length cyclic codes(C)over quaternion integers of Quaternion Mannheim(QM)weight one up to two coordinates have considered.In continuation,the case of cyclic codes of lengths n=p−12 and 2n−1=p−2 has studied to improve the error correction efficiency.In this study,we present the decoding of cyclic codes of length n=ϕ(p)=p−1 and length 2n−1=2ϕ(p)−1=2p−3(where p is prime integer andϕis Euler phi function)over Hamilton Quaternion integers of Quaternion Mannheim weight for the correction of errors.Furthermore,the error correction capability and code rate tradeoff of these codes are also discussed.Thus,an increase in the length of the cyclic code is achieved along with its better code rate and an adequate error correction capability.Muhammad Sajjad Tariq Shah Mohammad Mazyad Hazzazi Adel R.Alharbi Iqtadar Hussain 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,10:1

14Asymmetric Key Cryptosystem for Image Encryption by Elliptic Curve over Galois Field GF(2^(n))显示文摘Protecting the integrity and secrecy of digital data transmitted through the internet is a growing problem.In this paper,we introduce an asymmetric key algorithm for specifically processing images with larger bit values.To overcome the separate flaws of elliptic curve cryptography(ECC)and the Hill cipher(HC),we present an approach to picture encryption by combining these two encryption approaches.In addition,to strengthen our scheme,the group laws are defined over the rational points of a given elliptic curve(EC)over a Galois field(GF).The exclusive-or(XOR)function is used instead of matrix multiplication to encrypt and decrypt the data which also refutes the need for the inverse of the key matrix.By integrating the inverse function on the pixels of the image,we have improved system security and have a wider key space.Furthermore,through comprehensive analysis of the proposed scheme with different available analyses and standard attacks,it is confirmed that our proposed scheme provides improved speed,security,and efficiency.Mohammad Mazyad Hazzazi Hafeez Ur Rehman Tariq Shah Hajra Younas 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,76,8:0
15Nonlinear Components of a Block Cipher over Eisenstein Integers显示文摘In block ciphers,the nonlinear components,also known as substitution boxes(S-boxes),are used with the purpose to induce confusion in cryptosystems.For the last decade,most of the work on designing S-boxes over the points of elliptic curves,chaotic maps,and Gaussian integers has been published.The main purpose of these studies is to hide data and improve the security levels of crypto algorithms.In this work,we design pair of nonlinear components of a block cipher over the residue class of Eisenstein integers(EI).The fascinating features of this structure provide S-boxes pair at a time by fixing three parameters.However,in the same way,by taking three fixed parameters only one S-box is obtained through a prime field-dependent Elliptic curve(EC),chaotic maps,and Gaussian integers.The newly designed pair of S-boxes are assessed by various tests like nonlinearity,bit independence criterion,strict avalanche criterion,linear approximation probability,and differential approximation probability.Mohammad Mazyad Hazzazi Muhammad Sajjad Zaid Bassfar Tariq Shah Ashwag Albakri 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,77,12:0

18Mordell Elliptic Curve Based Design of Nonlinear Component of Block Cipher显示文摘Elliptic curves(ECs)are deemed one of the most solid structures against modern computational attacks because of their small key size and high security.In many well-known cryptosystems,the substitution box(Sbox)is used as the only nonlinear portion of a security system.Recently,it has been shown that using dynamic S-boxes rather than static S-boxes increases the security of a cryptosystem.The conferred study also extends the practical application of ECs in designing the nonlinear components of block ciphers in symmetric key cryptography.In this study,instead of the Mordell elliptic curve(MEC)over the prime field,the Galois field has been engaged in constructing the S-boxes,the main nonlinear component of the block ciphers.Also,the proposed scheme uses the coordinates of MEC and the operation of the Galois field to generate a higher number of S-boxes with optimal nonlinearity,which increases the security of cryptosystems.The proposed S-boxes resilience against prominent algebraic and statistical attacks is evaluated to determine its potential to induce confusion and produce acceptable results compared to other schemes.Also,the majority logic criteria(MLC)are used to assess the new S-boxes usage in the image encryption application,and the outcomes indicate that they have significant cryptographic strength.Hafeez ur Rehman Tariq Shah Mohammad Mazyad Hazzazi Ali Alshehri Bassfar Zaid 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,11:0

20A Novel Approach for Security Enhancement of Data Encryption Standard显示文摘Data Encryption Standard(DES)is a symmetric key cryptosystem that is applied in different cryptosystems of recent times.However,researchers found defects in the main assembling of the DES and declared it insecure against linear and differential cryptanalysis.In this paper,we have studied the faults and made improvements in their internal structure and get the new algorithm for Improved DES.The improvement is being made in the substitution step,which is the only nonlinear component of the algorithm.This alteration provided us with great outcomes and increase the strength of DES.Accordingly,a novel 6×6 good quality S-box construction scheme has been hired in the substitution phase of the DES.The construction involves the Galois field method and generates robust S-boxes that are used to secure the scheme against linear and differential attacks.Then again,the key space of the improved DES has been enhanced against the brute force attack.The out-comes of different performance analyses depict the strength of our proposed substitution boxes which also guarantees the strength of the overall DES.Dawood Shah Tariq Shah Sajjad Shaukat Jamal Mohammad Mazyad Hazzazi Amer Aljaedi Adel R.Alharbi 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,6:0
