| 1 | Effects of Yogurt Supplementation on the Growth of Preschool Children in Beijing Suburbs显示文摘Objective To investigate the effect of yogurt supplementation on the growth of preschool children in Beijing suburbs. Methods Four hundred and two preschool children (217 males, 185 females), aged 3-5 years, whose height for age and/or weight for age were less than the reference level, were selected as subjects from 7 kindergartens in Beijing Fangshan District. The subjects were divided randomly into control group (CG, 201) and yogurt supplemented group (YG, 201). Each subject in YG was given one serving of yogurt (125 g) for 5 days a week from March to December in 2001, while nothing additional was provided to CG. All subjects kept their usual diet during the study. Anthropometry (body height and weight and upper-arm circumference) and the bone mineral density (BMD) of forearm were measured every 3 months. Disease status and dietary intake were also recorded and assessed. Results The intake of calcium, zinc, and vitamin B2 in YG was significantly higher than that in CG. The incidence and duration of upper-respiratory infection and diarrhea of children in YG were significantly less than those in CG. The height gain of children in YG was significantly higher than that in CG after yogurt was supplemented for 3, 6, and 9 months (P<0.05) (1.90±0.49 cm vs 1.77±0.54 cm, 3.83±0.57cm vs 3.64±0.66 cm and 5.43±0.69 cm vs 5.24±0.76 cm, respectively). The weight gain of children in YG was significantly higher than that in CG after yogurt was supplemented for 3, 6, and 9 months (P<0.05) (0.70±0.43 kg vs 0.49±0.35 kg, 0.98±0.62 kg vs 0.80±0.60 kg and 1.42±0.76 kg vs 1.20±0.67 kg, respectively). The BMD of children in YG was significantly higher than that in CG after yogurt was supplemented for 9 months (P<0.05) (0.415±0.058 g/cm2 vs 0.400±0.065 g/cm2). | 2 | Effect and mechanism of YB-1 knockdown on glioma cell growth,migration,and apoptosis显示文摘Ybox binding protein 1(YB-1)is manifested as its involvement in cell proliferation and differ-entiation and malignant cell transformation.Overexpression of YB-1 is associated with glioma progression and patient survival.The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of YB-1 knockdown on glioma cell progression and reveal the mechanisms of YB-1 knockdown on glioma cell growth,migration,and apoptosis.It was found that the knockdown of YB-1 decreased the mRNA and protein levels of YB-1 in U251 glioma cells.The knockdown of YB-1 significantly inhibited cell proliferation,colony formation,and migration in vitro and tumor growth in vivo.Proteome and phosphoproteome data revealed that YB-1 is involved in glioma progression through regulating the expression and phosphorylation of major proteins involved in cell cycle,adhesion,and apoptosis.The main regulated proteins included CCNB1,CCNDBP1,CDK2,CDK3,ADGRG1,CDH-2,MMP14,AIFM1,HO-1,and BAX.Furthermore,it was also found that YB-1 knockdown is associated with the hypo-phosphorylation of ErbB,mTOR,HIF-1,cGMP-PKG,and insulin signaling pathways,and proteoglycans in cancer.Our findings indicated that YB-1 plays a key role in glioma progression in multiple ways.including regulating the expression and phosphorylation of major proteins associated with cell cycle,adhesion,and apoptosis. | Huilin Gong Shan Gao Chenghuan Yu Meihe Li Ping Liu Guanjun Zhang Jinning Song Jin Zheng | 2020 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,2: | 2 |

| 13 | Cross-linked polyelectrolyte reinforced SnO_(2)electron transport layer for robust flexible perovskite solar cells显示文摘SnO_(2)electron transport layer(ETL)is a vital component in perovskite solar cells(PSCs),due to its excellent photoelectric properties and facile fabrication process.In this study,we synthesized a water-soluble and adhesive polyelectrolyte with ethanolamine(EA)and poly-acrylic acid(PAA).The linear PAA was crosslinked by EA,forming a 3D network that stabilized the SnO_(2)nanoparticle dispersion.An organic–inorganic hybrid ETL is developed by introducing the cross-linked PAA-EA into SnO_(2)ETL,which prevents nano particle agglomeration and facilitates uniform SnO_(2)film formation with fewer defects.Additionally,the PAA-EA-modified SnO_(2)facilitated a uniform and compact perovskite film,enhancing the interface contact and carrier transport.Consequently,the PAA-EA-modified PSCs exhibited excellent PCE of 24.34%and 22.88%with high reproducibility for areas of 0.045 and 1.00 cm~2,respectively.Notably,owing to structure reinforce effect of PAA-EA in SnO_(2)ETL,flexible device demonstrated an impressive PCE of 23.34%while maintaining 90.1%of the initial PCE after 10,000 bending cycles with a bending radius of 5 mm.This successful approach of polyelectrolyte reinforced hybrid organic–inorganic ETL displays great potential for flexible,large-area PSCs application. | Zhihao Li Zhi Wan Chunmei Jia Meng Zhang Meihe Zhang Jiayi Xue Jianghua Shen Can Li Chao Zhang Zhen Li | 2023 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,10: | 0 |
| 14 | Y-box protein-1 modulates circSPECC1 to promote glioma tumorigenesis via miR-615-5p/HIP1/AKT axis显示文摘Y-box binding protein-1(YB-1)is upregulated in glioma and plays an important role in its occurrence and drug resistance.However,the involved regulatory processes and downstream pathways are still unclear.Since various circular RNAs(circRNAs)and microRNAs(miRNAs)also play roles in the pathogenesis of glioma,we hypothesize that YB-1 may exert its function through a circRNA-miRNA-protein interaction network.In this study,we use the RNA binding protein immunoprecipitation assay and quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction to determine the circRNAs involved in the regulation of YB-1 and further elucidate their biological functions.The level of circSPECC1(hsa_circ_0000745)modulated by YB-1 is significantly upregulated in the U251 and U87 glioma cell lines.Downregulation of circSPECC1 markedly inhibits the proliferation and invasiveness of U251 and U87 cells by inducing apoptosis.Bioinformatics analysis reveals that miR-615-5p could interact with circSPECC1 and huntingtin-interacting protein-1(HIP-1).Then we determine the interactions between miR-615-5p,circSPECC1,and HIP1 using dual luciferase reporter system and pull-down assays.Mechanistic analysis indicates that the downregulation of circSPECC1 results in a decreased HIP1 expression.This study demonstrates that circSPECC1 modulated by YB-1 is increased in glioma cell lines.In addition,circSPECC1 promotes glioma growth through the upregulation of HIP1 by sponging miR-615-5p and targeting the HIP1/AKT pathway.This indicates that YB-1 and circSPECC1 may both be promising targets for glioma treatment. | Ping Lan Meihe Li Ying Wang Jingwen Wang Luyao Li Sha Zhang Xuan Zhang Caihong Ran Jin Zheng Huilin Gong | 2023 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,12: | 0 |
