1New Trends in Olefin Production显示文摘Most olefins (e.g., ethylene and propylene) will continue to be produced through steam cracking (SC) ofhydrocarbons in the coming decade. In an uncertain commodity market, the chemical industry is investingvery little in alternative technologies and feedstocks because of their current lack of economic viability,despite decreasing crude oil reserves and the recognition of global warming. In this perspective, some of themost promising alternatives are compared with the conventional SC process, and the major bottlenecks ofeach of the competing processes are highlighted. These technologies emerge especially from the abundanceof cheap propane, ethane, and methane from shale gas and stranded gas. From an economic point of view,methane is an interesting starting material, if chemicals can be produced from it. The huge availability ofcrude oil and the expected substantial decline in the demand for fuels imply that the future for proventechnologies such as Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FFS) or methanol to gasoline is not bright. The abundance ofcheap ethane and the large availability of crude oil, on the other hand, have caused the SC industry to shiftto these two extremes, making room for the on-purpose production of light olefins, such as by the catalyticdehydrogenation of orooane.Ismael Amghizar Laurien A. 3Effect of different pre-sowing treatments on seed germination percentage and growth performance of Acacia auriculiformis显示文摘Seed morphology,germination and seedlings growth of Acacia auriculiformis were studied.The experiment was conducted in the nursery of Forestry and Wood Technology Discipline,Khulna University,Bangladesh.Matured seeds of the species were collected from healthy trees of road side plantation from different areas of Khulna District,Bangladesh and treated with five pre-sowing treatments(control,immersion in cold water,immersion in hot water,scarification with sand paper and immersion in concentrated H2SO4).The average length,breadth and thickness were found to be(0.58±0.017) cm,(0.44±0.007) cm and(0.20±0.089) cm,respectively.Germination was conducted in polybags with a mixture of top soil,coconut husk,coarse sand,and fine sand in a ratio of 3:4:1:1.Results reveal that pre-sowing treatments influences the germination rates of seeds that significantly increase the percentage germination compared with those in control(43%) and cold water treatment(52%).The highest germination success rate was found 83% in hot water treatment followed by 78% in scarification with sand paper,and 75% with immersion in H2SO4.Germination started from 7 to 12 days and completed between 28 and 35 days period in all treatments.ANOVA showed the significant difference(p<0.05) among the treatments in seed germination,but no significant difference among treatment with regard to starting day,closing day and total germination period.In case of height and diameter growth,seedlings originated from the seeds with hot water treatment shows significantly higher in wet season(from May to July).Hot water treatment can be recommended on seed germination of the species in rural Bangladesh.Md.Salim Azad Mizanur Rahman Manik Md.Shamin Hasan Md.Abdul Matin 2011Journal of Forestry Research2011,22,2:10

6La-Ni-Al钙钛矿氧化物中Sr和Ca取代La对甲醇重整的影响(英文)显示文摘Mixed perovskite oxides with CaxLa1-xNi0.3Al0.7O3-d and SrxLa1-xNi0.3Al0.7O3-d(x=0,0.2,0.5,0.8,and 1.0;d=0.5x)components have been prepared by a sol-gel method.The effects of the partial substitution of La by Ca and Sr in dry CH4 reforming were investigated at 500-800 ℃ and 101 kPa.The resulting oxides were examined by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction,temperature-programmed reduction,scanning electron microscopy,energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry,and BET surface area analysis.Studies following the catalytic tests by carbon analysis show some carbon deposition on this catalytic system.The results indicate that all initial salt entered into a propionate structure,and that most of the solid solution has well defined perovskite structure with surface areas between 3.5 and 9.5 m2/g.Most of the catalysts performed well in the dry reforming,with CH4 conversions up to 90%,H2 yields up to 80%,and H2 selectivity up to 90%.Among the samples,Sr0.2La0.8Ni0.3Al0.7O2.9 showed an excellent catalytic performance in CH4 dry reforming,with a H2/CO ratio of 1,whereas Ca0.8La0.2Ni0.3Al0.7O2.6 showed the lowest coke formation(approximately 0.71%).Alieh KHALESI Hamid R. 7Efficient Algorithm for Prolonging Network Lifetime of Wireless Sensor Networks显示文摘One of the fundamental design challenges in designing a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is to maximize the network lifetime,as each sensor node of the network is equipped with a limited power battery.To overcome this challenge,different methods were developed in the last few years using such techniques as network protocols,data fusion algorithms using low power,energy efficient routing,and locating optimal sink position.This paper focuses on finding the optimal sink position.Relay nodes are introduced in conjunction with the sensor nodes to mitigate network geometric deficiencies since in most other approaches the sensor nodes close to the sink become heavily involved in data forwarding and,thus,their batteries are quickly depleted.A Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) based algorithm is used to locate the optimal sink position with respect to those relay nodes to make the network more energy efficient.The relay nodes communicate with the sink instead of the sensor nodes.Tests show that this approach can save at least 40% of the energy and prolong the network lifetime.Md Nafees Rahman M A Matin 2011Tsinghua Science and Technology2011,16,6:6
8Experimental evaluation of mechanically stabilized earth walls with recycled crumb rubbers显示文摘Traditional techniques for treatment of waste rubber, such as burning, generate some highly nondegradable synthetic materials that cause unrepairable environmental damages by releasing heavy metals, such as arsenic, chromium, lead, manganese and nickel. For this, scrap tires are used as lightweight alternative materials in many engineering applications, such as retaining wall backfilling. In the present study, 90 laboratory models were prepared to evaluate the stability of mechanically stabilized earth(MSE) walls with plate anchors. Then, the bearing capacity and horizontal displacements of the retaining walls were monitored by exerting a static loading to investigate the effects of adding different contents(5 wt%, 10 wt%, 15 wt% and 20 wt%) of recycled crumb rubber(RCR) to the fill of a mechanically stabilized retaining wall with plate anchors. To visualize the critical slip surface of the wall, the particle image velocimetry(PIV) technique was employed. Results showed that the circular anchor plates almost continually provided a higher bearing capacity and wall stability than the square plates. Moreover, the backfill with 15 wt% RCR provided the maximum bearing capacity of the wall. Increasing the weight percentage of RCR to 20 wt% resulted in a significant reduction in horizontal displacement of the wall,which occurred due to the decrease in lateral earth pressure against the whole walls. 9Myricetin protects hippocampal CA3 pyramidal neurons and improves learning and memory impairments in rats with Alzheimer's disease显示文摘There is currently no treatment for effectively slowing the progression of Alzheimer's disease, so early prevention is very important. Numerous studies have shown that flavonoids can improve memory impairment. The present study investigated the effects of myricetin, a member of the flavonoids, on intracerebroventricular streptozotocin induced neuronal loss and memory impairment in rat models of Alzheimer's disease. Myricetin at 5 or 10 mg/kg was intraperitoneally injected into rats over 21 days. Control rats were treated with 10 m L/kg saline. Behavioral test(the shuttle box test) was performed on day 22 to examine learning and memory in rats. Immediately after that, hematoxylin-eosin staining was performed to observe the morphological change in hippocampal CA3 pyramidal neurons. Myricetin greatly increased the number of hippocampal CA3 pyramidal neurons and improved learning and memory impairments in rats with Alzheimer's disease. 10铜取代和制备方法对LaMnO_(3±δ)结构和催化甲烷燃烧和CO氧化的影响(英文)显示文摘LaMn1-xCuxO3±δ perovskite oxides (x = 0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1) were prepared by two different methods, the Pechini and sol-gel methods. The catalysts were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy, N2 adsorption, and temperature-programmed reduction. Their catalytic activity in the oxidation of methane and CO was evaluated. EDS and SEM results showed that the Pechini samples had more homogeneity and smaller particles (higher specific surface area). The catalytic activity for methane combustion was highest for x = 0.2. In CO oxidation, the oxides with x = 0.2 and x = 0.4 were the most active. 11GIS-based method for detecting high-crash-risk road segments using network kernel density estimation显示文摘Identifying high-crash-risk road segments provides safety specialists with an insight to better understanding of crash patterns and enhancing road safety management.The common hotspot identification methods are not robust enough to visualize the underlying shape of crash patterns since they neglect the spatial properties of crash data.Spatial traffic accidents have the tendency to be dependent,a phenomenon known as spatial autocorrelation.Values over distance are more or less similar than expected for randomly associated observations.Modeling the spatial variations can properly be explained in terms of first-and second-order properties.The first-order properties,describe the way of varying the expected value of point pattern in space which can be due to changes in the substantial properties of the local environment,while second-order effects describe the interactive effects of events explaining on how the events are interacted.Considering the discrete nature of crash data and the limited access to exact locations where crashes occur,it is likely that a continuous surface drawn from discrete points will better reflect crash density,present a more realistic picture of crash distribution.Network kernel density estimation(NKDE)is a nonparametric approach for events distributed over one-dimensional space which facilitates estimating the density at any location in the study region not just at the location where the event occurs.NKDE for road safety applications enables the extraction and visualization of crash density along roadways The application of suggested method was illustrated for Arak-Khomein rural road in Markazi province,Iran and the stability of hazardous segments by examining the resulted network estimated density during the three years of study(2006–2008)was investigated.The result of this paper helps the traffic engineers and safety specialists to determine the segments which demand more safety attentions from both transportation authorities and drivers and request assigning the resources such as budget and time.Afshin Shariat MOHAYMANY Matin SHAHRI Babak MIRBAGHERI 2013Geo-Spatial Information Science2013,16,2:5
12用于甲烷水蒸气重整的镍基催化剂的失活和再生(英文)显示文摘The deactivation of nickel catalysts used in Arak and Razi petrochemical complexes followed by catalyst regeneration was evalu-ated. The characterization of the different structures was made by powder X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),and carbon & sulfur analyzer. The Ni particle size was estimated from XRD patterns and TEM graphs. The agglomeration of nickel particle and the poison by sulfur components were recognized as the main reasons in deactivation of Arak and Razi catalysts,respectively. The activity of the used catalysts before and after regeneration was measured on methane steam reforming at a CH4:H2O ratio of 1:3 at 850 oC. The regeneration processes for Arak and Razi samples were performed with CO2 as an oxidative atmosphere and steam as a regenerating agent,respectively. The results show that,(1) no residual sulfur components were on the regenerated Razi catalyst surface without changing the structure of the catalyst and the regenerated catalyst has gained 80% of its catalytic activity,and that(2) the nickel particle size of regenerated Arak specimen decreased remarkably as measured by Debye-Scherrer equation from XRD patterns. TEM images were in agreement with the XRD results and indicated a decrease in nickel particle size of regenerated catalyst. 13Effect of RE elements on the microstructural and mechanical properties of as-cast and age hardening processed Mg-4Al-2Sn alloy显示文摘In the present article,the effect of Rare Earth elements on the microstructural development and mechanical properties of as cast and age treated Mg-4Al-2Sn(AT42)alloy is studied.Investigation has been conducted by optical and scanning electron microscope,XRD and tensile tests.Analysis of the data showed that alloy’s dendrites turn into larger dendritic structure with sharp and narrow arms from equiaxed rosette type by addition of RE elements.In contrast to the base alloy,aging treatment shows a positive effect on the mechanical properties(yield strength,tensile strength and elongation)of AT42+1RE alloy mainly because of retention of the thermally stable RE containing intermetallics as strong barriers to grain growth.Also,increase of solute aluminum due to the decomposition of Mg 17 Al 12 along with saturated RE elements led to formation of blocky shape Al 2 RE in the microstructure during aging which enhanced the mechanical properties.It was found that the best result(yield of 70 MPa,tensile strength of 168 MPa and elongation of 14%)could be achieved by aging the AT42+1RE alloy at 443 K(170℃)for 8 h.However,mechanical properties of AT42+1RE alloy starts to decrease after exceeding its optimum aging conditions due to the coarsening of intermetallics.Amir Mahyar Majd Mohammad Farzinfar Matin Pashakhanlou Mohammad Javad Nayyeri 2018Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2018,6,3:5

15动脉瘤性蛛网膜下腔出血患者在血管内弹簧圈治疗中动脉瘤破裂的原因、处理和预后显示文摘目的探讨动脉瘤性蛛网膜下腔出血(SAH)患者在血管内弹簧圈治疗中动脉瘤被穿破的原因、处理和预后。方法回顾性研究1992~2003年在弗莱堡大学医院神经中心的202例急性动脉瘤性SAH接受血管内弹簧圈介入治疗患者,系统研究病例记录和由2名神经放射科医生重新阅片。结果6例患者发生介入术中动脉瘤被穿破,男1例,女5例,年龄33~87岁。5例囊性动脉瘤,1例右颈内动脉夹层动脉瘤。4例被弹簧圈穿破,1例被微导丝穿破,1例被微导管穿破。4例临床预后好,出院时没有新的神经功能缺损(mRS0分和2分各2例),1例临床状况无改变(治疗前H&HV级,出院时mRS5分),1例死于严重的SAH(治疗前H&HV级)。结论在动脉瘤性SAH患者的血管内弹簧圈治疗中,总的术中穿破率为3%,死亡率为0.5%;造影剂外渗或弹簧圈的头端突出动脉瘤外提示术中动脉瘤被穿破,发生穿破后应尽可能快的用弹簧圈封堵动脉瘤的破裂部位;患者的预后可能与治疗前病情轻重直接相关。聂志余 黄冬雅 陈左权 Matin Schumacher 2005中风与神经疾病杂志2005,22,3:3

17Effects of variation in seed sources and pre-sowing treatments on seed germination of Tamarindus indica: a multi-purpose tree species in Bangladesh显示文摘We investigated the morphology and germination of Tamarindus indica seeds in order to discover the effects of variation in seed sources and pre-sowing treatments on germination. The experiment was carried out in the nursery of the Forestry and Wood Technology Discipline, Khulna University, Bangladesh. Seeds were collected from different but healthy trees from various locations in Bangladesh and subjected to four pre-sowing treatments, i.e., control, immersion in cold water (4°C for 24 h), immersion in hot water (80°C for 10 min) and scarification with sand paper. Seed germination was carried out in poly-bags with a mixture of topsoil and cow dung in the ratio of 3:1. The average length of the fresh seeds was 1.35±0.26 cm, their width 1.07 ±0.20 cm and thickness 0.69±0.11 cm. The results revealed that pre-sowing treatments affected the germination process of seeds, which significantly increased the germination percentage with the cold water (81.67%) and scarification with sand paper (82.33%) treatments, compared with those in the control (58.33%) and hot water treatment (59.00%). In all treatments germination started on average within 5 to 7 days after the start of the treatments and were completed from 13 to 19 days later. The greatest success in germination (82.33%) was found in scarification with sand paper, followed with 81.67% in the cold water treatment. The results of analyses of variance (ANOVA) showed significant differences (p<0.05) in germination closing dates, seed germination periods and germination percentages among the treatments but no significant difference among seed sources. However, the effect of the interaction between seed source variation and pre-treatment differed significantly in seed germination closing dates and germination percentages. We recommend cold water treatment (submersion of seed at a temperature of 4°C for a 24-h period) for seed germination of T. indica in rural Bangladesh.Md. Salim AZAD Nurun NAHAR Md. 19Seed germination of Albizia procera(Roxb.)Benth.in Bangladesh:a basis for seed source variation and pre-sowing treatment effect显示文摘An experiment in seed morphology and seed germination techniques of Albizia procera was carried out in the nursery of the Forestry and Wood Technology Discipline,Khulna University,Bangladesh in order to discover the source variation in seeds and pre-sowing treatment effects on seed germination.Mature seeds of A.procera were collected from healthy trees in home garden plantations from five different districts in Bangladesh and treated with four pre-sowing treatments,i.e.,control,immersion in cold water (4°C for 24 h)and immersion in hot water(80°C for 10 min and 100°C for 1 min).The average length,width and thickness of seeds were calculated as 0.502±0.485,0.420±0.060 and 0.191±0.118 cm,respectively.Germination was conducted in poly-bags with a mixture of topsoil and cow dung in a ratio of 3:1.The results revealed that pre-sowing treatments affected the rate of germination of seeds,which significantly increased the germination percentages of seeds in hot water treatments compared with those in control (60.60%)and the cold water treatment(4°C for 24 h,63.53%).The highest germination success was 82.07%in the treatment of immersion in hot water(80°C)for 10 min,followed by 79.00%in immersion in hot water(100°C)for 1 min.Germination started 4 to 6 days after seed sowing and completed in a period of 22 to 25 days in all treatments.ANOVAs showed statistically significant differences(p<0.05)in seed germination starting dates,closing dates,germination percentages and rates of germination among treatments,but no significant differences in seed germination starting dates,closing dates,germination period,germination percentages and rates of germination among the seed sources.The study also revealed that the interaction between seed source variation and treatment effect significantly differed in seed germination starting dates,closing dates,germination percentages and rates of germination.
