2Current view of the immunopathogenesis in inflammatory bowel disease and its implications for therapy显示文摘Although the aetiology of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) remains unknown, the pathogenesis is gradually being unravelled, seeming to be the result of a combination of environmental, genetic, and immunological factors in which an uncontrolled immune response within the intestinal lumen leads to inflammation in genetically predisposed individuals. Multifactorial evidence suggests that a defect of innate immune response to microbial agents is involved in IBD. This editorial outlines the immunopathogenesis of IBD and their current and future therapy. We present IBD as a result of dysregulated mucosal response in the intestinal wall facilitated by defects in epithelial barrier function and the mucosal immune system with excessive production of cytokines growth factors, adhesion molecules, and reactive oxygen metabolites, resulting in tissue injury. 3New aspects in celiac disease显示文摘Celiac disease (CD) is a common autoimmune disorder characterized by an immune response to ingested gluten and has a strong HLA association with HLA- DQ2 and HLA-DQ8 molecules, but human HLA-DQ risk factors do not explain the entire genetic susceptibility to gluten intolerance. CD is caused by the lack of immune tolerance (oral tolerance) to wheat gluten. In this sense, the expression of soluble HLA-G in CD is of special interest because the molecule plays an important role in the induction of immune tolerance. The enhanced expression of soluble HLA-G found in CD may be part of a mechanism to restore the gluten intolerance. 4PIV measurements of turbulent jets issuing from triangular and circular orifice plates显示文摘The present study experimentally investigated the near-field flow mixing characteristics of two turbulent jets issuing from equilateral triangular and circular orifice plates into effectively unbounded surroundings,respectively.Planar particle image velocimetry(PIV) was applied to measure the velocity field at the same Reynolds number of Re=50,000,where Re = UeDe /with Ue being the exit bulk velocity and the kinematic viscosity of fluid,D e the equivalent diameters.The instantaneous velocity,mean velocity,Reynolds stresses were obtained.From the mean velocity field,the centreline velocity decay rate and half-velocity width were derived.Comparing the mixing characteristics of the two jets,it is found that the triangular jet has a faster mixing rate than the circular counterpart.The triangular jet entrainments with the ambient fluid at a higher rate in the near field.This is evidenced by a shorter unmixed core,faster Reynolds stress and centreline turbulence intensity growth.The primary coherent structures in the near field are found to break down more rapidly in the triangular jet as compared to the circular jet.Over the entire measurement region,the triangular jet maintained a higher rate of decay and spread.Moreover,all components of Reynolds stress of the triangular jet appear to reach their peaks earlier,and then decay more rapidly than those of the circular jet.In addition,the axis-switching phenomenon is observed in the triangular jet.XU MinYi ZHANG JianPeng MI JianChun NATHAN G J KALT P A M 2013Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,6:7
5有为腹的 CT 的非线性的适应过滤器的申请的放射剂量减小显示文摘 AIM:To evaluate the effect of non-linear adaptive filters (NLAF) on abdominal computed tomography (CT) images acquired at different radiation dose levels.METHODS:Nineteen patients (mean age 61.6 ± 7.9 years,M:F=8:11) gave informed consent for an Institutional Review Board approved prospective study involving acquisition of 4 additional image series (200,150,100,50 mAs and 120 kVp) on a 64 slice multidetector row CT scanner over an identical 10 cm length in the abdomen.The CT images acquired at 150,100 and 50 mAs were processed with the NLAF.Two radiologists reviewed unprocessed and processed images for image quality in a blinded randomized manner.CT dose index volume,dose length product,patient weight,transverse diameters,objective noise and CT numbers wererecorded.Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance and Wilcoxon signed rank test.RESULTS:Of the 31 lesions detected in abdominal CT images,28 lesions were less than 1 cm in size.Subjective image noise was graded as unacceptable in unprocessed images at 50 and 100 mAs,and in NLAF processed images at 50 mAs only.In NLAF processed images,objective image noise was decreased by 21% (14.4 ± 4/18.2 ± 4.9) at 150 mAs,28.3% (15.7 ± 5.6/21.9 ± 4) at 100 mAs and by 39.4% (18.8 ± 9/30.4 ± 9.2) at 50 mAs compared to unprocessed images acquired at respective radiation dose levels.At 100 mAs the visibility of smaller structures improved from suboptimal in unprocessed images to excellent in NLAF processed images,whereas diagnostic confidence was respectively improved from probably confident to fully confident.CONCLUSION:NLAF lowers image noise,improves the visibility of small structures and maintains lesion conspicuity at down to 100 mAs for abdominal CT.Sarabjeet Singh Mannudeep K Kalra Mi Kim Sung Anni Back Michael A Blake 2012World Journal of Radiology2012,4,1:3

8Catalysts for electrochemical ammonia oxidation:Trend,challenge,and promise显示文摘Developing sustainable and clean energy technology is critial to address the current energy and environmental crisis.As an energy carrier,hydrogen has been getting attention due to its abundance,high energy density,and zero carbon emission.Due to the difficulty of hydrogen storage and transport,the electro-oxidation of ammonia shows great potential for renewable energy since it satisfies both energy supply and environmental protection as a carbon-free fuel with high hydrogen content.However,ammonia electro-oxidation is a sluggish reaction and shows low durability.Understanding the complicated mechanism and intermediates is conducive to developing efficient electrocatalysts with high catalytic activity and durability.This review begins with the ammonia oxidation technologies and their principles.The two typical mechanisms for ammonia electro-oxidation,Oswin-Salomon mechanism and Gerischer-Mauerer mechanism,are discussed,and attention to the poisoning species is included.Then,the electrocatalysts for ammonia reaction are classified into Pt-based catalysts and non-noble metal-based catalysts,and their performances are reviewed with various strategies.Based on the progress on the electrochemical ammonia oxidation catalysts,the challenges and future insight on ammonia oxidation reaction are discussed and proposed.Sol A Lee Mi Gyoung Lee Ho Won Jang 2022Science China Materials2022,65,12:2
