| 2 | Induction of Epstein-Barr Virus Lytic Replication by Recombinant Adenoviruses Expressing the Zebra Gene with EBV Specific Promoters显示文摘The latent Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is found in the cells of many tumors. For example, EBV is detectable in almost all cases, and in almost all tumor cells, of non-keratinizing nasopharyngeal carcinoma.Activating the latent virus, which will result in its lytic replication and the death of tumor cells, is a potential approach for the treatment of EBV-associated cancers. In this study, three recombinant adenoviruses were constructed to express the Zebra gene, an EBV gene responsible for switching from the latent state to lytic replication. EBV-specific promoters were used in order to limit Zebra expression in EBV-positive cells, and reduce the potential side effects. The EBV promoters used were Cp, Zp and a dual promoter combining both promoters, CpZp. The Zebra protein was detected in HEK293 cells as well as the EBV-positive D98-HR1 cells infected with recombinant viruses. An EBV lytic replication early antigen, EA-D, was also detected in infected D98-HR1, implying the initiation of lytic replication. In the cell viability assay, Zebra-expressing adenoviruses had little effect on EBV-negative HeLa cells, while significantly reducing the cell viability and proliferation of D98-HR1 cells. | 9 | Dynamic evaporation of droplet with adjuvants under different environment conditions显示文摘Pesticide droplet is evaporating during the falling from the nozzle to the target.This dynamic evaporation is influenced by ambient temperature,relative humidity(RH),adjuvant type and concentration.In the evaporation process,the droplet size at different height is affected by the droplet evaporation.Based on this,this study determined the droplet dynamic evaporation by collecting the droplets from different height via silicone oil method with a certain temperature and RH.Eight adjuvants were chosen,including three organo-silicon,three vegetable oil and two non-ionic,with five concentrations.All droplets were generated by a droplet generator.The results showed that the type of adjuvant,ambient temperature and RH had no significant influence on droplet size generated by droplet generator.All the adjuvants in this experiment cannot reduce dynamic evaporation;Concentration of adjuvant made a difference in dynamic evaporation.This could be because of the property of adjuvant.Organo-silicon adjuvants have a negative correlation with water vapor pressure,it showed less dynamic evaporation at high temperature and RH.Vegetable oil and non-ionic adjuvant,they are the same as the controlled blank that the dynamic evaporation reduces with decreasing temperature and increasing RH. | Zhichong Wang Luchen Lan Xiongkui He Andreas Herbst | 2020 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2020,13,2: | 0 |

| 12 | Experimental study and assessment of thermal energy storage mortar with paraffin/recycled brick powder composite phase change materials显示文摘Thermal energy storage recycled powder mortar(TESRM)was developed in this study by incorporating paraffin/recycled brick powder(paraffin/BP)composite phase change materials(PCM).Fourier transform infrared and thermogravimetric analysis results showed that paraffin/BP composite PCM had good chemical and thermal stability.The onset melting temperature and latent heat of the composite PCM were 46.49°C and 30.1 J·g−1.The fresh mortar properties and hardened properties were also investigated in this study.Paraffin/BP composite PCM with replacement ratio of 0%,10%,20%,and 30%by weight of cement were studied.The results showed that the static and dynamic yield stresses of TESRM were 699.4%and 172.9%higher than those of normal mortar,respectively.The addition of paraffin/BP composite PCM had a positive impact on the mechanical properties of mortar at later ages,and could also reduce the dry shrinkage of mortar.The dry shrinkage of TESRM had a maximum reduction about 26.15%at 120 d.The thermal properties of TESRM were better than those of normal mortar.The thermal conductivity of TESRM was 36.3%less than that of normal mortar and the heating test results showed that TESRM had good thermal energy storage performance. | Luchen HAO Jianzhuang XIAO Wanzhi CAO Jingting SUN | 2022 | Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2022,16,10: | 0 |
| 13 | Principal Component Analysis on Semen Quality among Chinese Young Men显示文摘Objective To understand the current semen quality status among Chinese young men and influential factors in China and to explore its evaluation index. Methods A total of 562 healthy male volunteers were recruited during their premarital examinations in seven provincials and municipal regions' MCH centers; descriptive and principal component analyses were used to analyze data.Results The findings show that semen volume (2.61±1.10 mL), sperm density (64.47±34.59×106/mL), percentage of sperm forward progression (59.89%±17.11%), percentage of sperm viability (77.19%±11.87%), and percentage of normal sperm morphology (78.23%±9.15%). The first principal component function is Z1=-8.512 54 + 0.001 36X1' +0.031 92X2'+0.043 52X3'+ 0.039 84X4', which is closely related to percentage of sperm viability (X3), percentage of sperm forward progression (X2), and percentage of normal sperm morphology (X4);The second principal component function is: Z2=0.491 92+ 0.080 80X1- 0.000 58X2 - 0.005 10X3 - 0.018 07X4, which depends on the total sperm count (X1). Conclusion Only 42.3% subjects meet all the common WHO standard of semen quality. The multiple analysis of Z1 showed that the highest Z1 are among subjects from Guizhou, workers, or town residents.
