| 2 | DYNAMIC BEHAVIORAL MODELING FOR STRONGLY NONLINEAR DOHERTY PAS USING REAL-VALUED TIME-DELAY RECURRENT RBF MODEL显示文摘This paper proposes a Real-Valued Time-Delay Recurrent Radial Basis Function (RVTDRRBF) model suitable for dynamic modeling of the strongly nonlinear behaviors of the Doherty Power Amplifiers (DPAs). This model has four Tapped Delay Lines (TDLs), which account for the memory effect of the DPA. The structure of the RVTDRRBF model is simpler than the traditional FeedForward Neural Networks (FFNNs) model. Weights and centers of the proposed model can be resolved by the Orthogonal Least Square (OLS) and Singular Value De-composition (SVD) algorithm. A three-carrier Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) signal is taken as the test signal. The simulation results in frequency-domain and time-domain for a DPA with 51 dBm output illustrate a good agreement between the RVTDRRBF model and measurement data. In the proposed architecture, the quarter-wavelength lines, which work at two separated bands concurrently and can be tuned in one of them, are key components. Based on the analysis of ABCD-matrix, a novel hybrid structure and a pair of varactors topology are utilized to achieve concurrent dual-band operation and independent tunability, respectively. Using this configuration, it is convenient to tune the center frequency of the upper band, while the responses of the lower band remain unaltered. | 12 | NONLINEAR CHARACTERIZATION OF CONCURRENT DUAL-BAND RF POWER AMPLIFIERS显示文摘In this paper, the synchronous concurrent dual-band RF signal is used to drive the RF Power Amplifier (PA). The nonlinear characterization of a concurrent dual-band RF PA is discussed while two band signals in the dual-band are modulated by CDMA2000 and WCDMA signals. When the two band signals in the dual-band of the PA are modulated with the same signals, it is found that the nonlinearity of the PA can be expressed by any of the two corresponding baseband data. On the other hand, when the two band signals in the dual-band of the PA are modulated with two different signals, the PA nonlinearity cannot be characterized by any of the two corresponding baseband data. In this case, its nonlinearity has to be denoted by a composite signals consisting of the two baseband signals. Consequently, the requirements for the speed of the A/D converter can be largely reduced. | 13 | Identification and characterization of related substances in EVT-401 by hyphenated LC–MS techniques显示文摘A sensitive and selective method was developed for the separation and characterization of related substances(RSs) in EVT-401 by hyphenated LC–MS techniques. Complete separation of the RSs was achieved with an Inertsil ODS-SP column(250 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm) by linear gradient elution using a mobile phase consisting of 0.2% formic acid solution, methanol and acetonitrile. EVT-401 was found to be susceptible to acid, alkaline and oxidative stresses, while relatively stable under photolytic and thermal dry stress conditions. Fourteen RSs including six process-related substances and eight degradation products were detected and identified in EVT-401 with positive ESI high-resolution TOF-MS analysis of their parent ions and the corresponding product mass spectra elucidation, and some of them were further verified by chemical synthesis and NMR spectroscopy. | 14 | NOVEL ELECTRONIC TUNER USING VARACTORS FOR TUNABLE RF FRONT-ENDS显示文摘This paper presents a novel electronic tuner with high power handling capability utilizing varactors based on the asymmetric bilateral coupled microstrip transmission line. Through varying the bias voltage of the varactor at the Ultra High Frequency (UHF) band, the performance of the tuner is demonstrated according to simulated and measured results from several cases with the return loss (S11 ) below -20 dB and the insertion loss (S21 ) within ±0.5 dB. Compared with tuners using p and t network, electronic tuner of this paper shows superior frequency agility as well as wide impendence coverage. Advanced biasing structure has been developed to improve power handling for high power level applications.
