| 1 | Heterogeneous parallel computing accelerated iterative subpixel digital image correlation显示文摘Parallel computing techniques have been introduced into digital image correlation(DIC) in recent years and leads to a surge in computation speed. The graphics processing unit(GPU)-based parallel computing demonstrated a surprising effect on accelerating the iterative subpixel DIC, compared with CPU-based parallel computing. In this paper, the performances of the two kinds of parallel computing techniques are compared for the previously proposed path-independent DIC method, in which the initial guess for the inverse compositional Gauss-Newton(IC-GN) algorithm at each point of interest(POI) is estimated through the fast Fourier transform-based cross-correlation(FFT-CC) algorithm. Based on the performance evaluation, a heterogeneous parallel computing(HPC) model is proposed with hybrid mode of parallelisms in order to combine the computing power of GPU and multicore CPU. A scheme of trial computation test is developed to optimize the configuration of the HPC model on a specific computer. | 3 | Preliminary experimental results by the prototype of Sanya Incoherent Scatter Radar显示文摘In the past decades,the Incoherent Scatter Radar(ISR)has been demonstrated to be one of the most powerful instruments for ionosphere monitoring.The Institute of Geology and Geophysics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences was founded to build a state-ofthe-art phased-array ISR at Sanya(18.3°N,109.6°E),a low-latitude station on Hainan Island,named the Sanya ISR(SYISR).As a first step,a prototype radar system consisting of eight subarrays(SYISR-8)was built to reduce the technical risk of producing the entire large array.In this work,we have summarized the preliminary experimental results based on the SYISR-8.The amplitude and phase among 256 channels were first calibrated through an embedded internal monitoring network.The mean oscillation of the amplitude and phase after calibration were about 1 dB and 5°,respectively,which met the basic requirements.The beam directivity was confirmed by crossing screen of the International Space Station.The SYISR-8 was further used to detect the tropospheric wind profile and meteors.The derived winds were evaluated by comparison with independent radiosonde and balloon-based GPS measurements.The SYISR-8 was able to observe several typical meteor echoes,such as the meteor head echo,range-spread trail echo,and specular trail echo.These results confirmed the validity and reliability of the SYISR-8 system,thereby reducing the technical risk of producing the entire large array of the SYISR to some extent. | XinAn Yue WeiXing Wan Han Xiao LingQi Zeng ChangHai Ke BaiQi Ning Feng Ding BiQiang Zhao Lin Jin Chen Li MingYuan Li JunYi Wang HongLian Hao Ning Zhang | 2020 | Earth and Planetary Physics2020,4,6: | 3 |
| 4 | Femtosecond laser-inscribed optical waveguides in dielectric crystals:a concise review and recent advances显示文摘Femtosecond laser inscription or writing has been recognized as a powerful technique to engineer various materials toward a number of applications.By efficient modification of refractive indices of dielectric crystals,optical waveguides with diverse configurations have been produced by femtosecond laser writing.The waveguiding properties depend not only on the parameters of the laser writing but also on the nature of the crystals.The mode profile tailoring and polarization engineering are realizable by selecting appropriate fabrication conditions.In addition,regardless of the complexity of crystal refractive index changes induced by ultrafast pulses,several three-dimensional geometries have been designed and implemented that are useful for the fabrication of laser-written photonic chips.Some intriguing devices,e.g.,waveguide lasers,wavelength converters,and quantum memories,have been made,exhibiting potential for applications in various areas.Our work gives a concise review of the femtosecond laser-inscribed waveguides in dielectric crystals and focuses on the recent advances of this research area,including the fundamentals,fabrication,and selected photonic applications. | Lingqi Li Weijin Kong Feng Chen | 2022 | Advanced Photonics2022,4,2: | 2 |

| 8 | The crosstalk between ferroptosis and anti-tumor immunity in the tumor microenvironment:molecular mechanisms and therapeutic controversy显示文摘The advent of immunotherapy has significantly reshaped the landscape of cancer treatment,greatly enhancing therapeutic outcomes for multiple types of cancer.However,only a small subset of individuals respond to it,underscoring the urgent need for new methods to improve its response rate.Ferroptosis,a recently discovered form of programmed cell death,has emerged as a promising approach for anti-tumor therapy,with targeting ferroptosis to kill tumors seen as a potentially effective strategy.Numerous studies suggest that inducing ferroptosis can synergistically enhance the effects of immunotherapy,paving the way for a promising combined treatment method in the future.Nevertheless,recent research has raised concerns about the potential negative impacts on anti-tumor immunity as a consequence of inducing ferroptosis,leading to conflicting views within the scientific community about the interplay between ferroptosis and anti-tumor immunity,thereby underscoring the necessity of a comprehensive review of the existing literature on this relationship.Previous reviews on ferroptosis have touched on related content,many focusing primarily on the promoting role of ferroptosis on anti-tumor immunity while overlooking recent evidence on the inhibitory effects of ferroptosis on immunity.Others have concentrated solely on discussing related content either from the perspective of cancer cells and ferroptosis or from immune cells and ferroptosis.Given that both cancer cells and immune cells exist in the tumor microenvironment,a one-sided discussion cannot comprehensively summarize this topic.Therefore,from the perspectives of both tumor cells and tumor-infiltrating immune cells,we systematically summarize the current conflicting views on the interplay between ferroptosis and anti-tumor immunity,intending to provide potential explanations and identify the work needed to establish a translational basis for combined ferroptosis-targeted therapy and immunotherapy in treating tumors. | Yichen Zheng Lingqi Sun Jiamin Guo Ji Ma | 2023 | Cancer Communications2023,43,10: | 1 |

| 20 | Direct transformation of ZIF-8 into hollow porous carbons and hollow carbon composites显示文摘Hollow porous carbons(HPCs)are a class of porous materials with advantages of high surface to volume ratio,large interior cavities,low density,and short diffusion length,which are promising in various applications.Direct carbonization of carbon precursors is the simplest and the most cost-effective method to prepare porous carbons,however,it often leads to non-hollow structures.Herein,we demonstrate the preparation of HPCs through a direct carbonization method with a two-step heating process of zeolitic imidazolate framework-8(ZIF-8)and tetrafluoroterephthalonitrile(TFTPN).During the carbonization,ZIF-8 nanoparticles first react with TFTPN at low temperature to create polymer coatings on the surface,which are then converted into HPCs at elevated temperature.The obtained HPCs show hierarchically porous structure with high specific surface areas and pore volumes.Additionally,this method has been adopted to fabricate Au@HPCs yolk–shell composites,exhibiting good catalytic performance in nitrobenzene reduction.The developed synthesis strategy can enrich the toolbox for the preparation of novel HPCs and their composites. | Lingqi Huang Zhiyong Luo Wenjie Han Qi Zhang He Zhu Shiping Zhu | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,7: | 1 |
