1A simple way to make pre-stressed ceramics with high strength显示文摘A pre-stressing design and a simple fabrication technology to substantially improve the strength of ceramic components are presented.Residual surface compressive stress is generated in ceramic components by pressureless sintering of a green bulk coated with a thin layer of low coefficient of thermal expansion(CTE).The stress level can be controlled by changing the cross-section area ratio,Young's modulus ratio and CTE ratio of the coating.Pre-stressed ZrO_(2) ceramics coated with Al_(2)O_(3) can achieve a flexural strength of 1330±52MPa,45% higher than their uncoated counterpart.Similarly,the flexural strength of building porcelain tiles is increased by 70%,from 67±3 MPa to 114±5MPa.The damage tolerance of pre-stressed ZrO_(2) ceramics is excellent with a high residual strength of ~1200 MPa in a thermal shock test at 325℃.This simple technique can improve the mechanical performance of ceramic components with no limitation of size and shape.Yiwang Bao Fenghua Kuang Yi Sun Yueming Li Detian Wan Zongyang Shen Delong Ma Lingfeng He 2019Journal of Materiomics2019,5,4:7
2Yield Effect of Chemical and Soil Nitrogen on the Mid-season and Ratooning Hybrid Rice显示文摘Using hybrid rice Yixiang1577 as the material,the mid-season and ratooning hybrid rice yield variation was studied in Southern Sichuan at different levels of nitrogen fertilizer. The results showed that rice yield by using N fertilizer increased to the most signifi cant level than no fertilizer ones,and the mid-season rice and rice yield by using more N fertilizer increased to the signif icant level than less fertilizer ones. The rice yield by using no fertilizer ones increased to the most signif icant level than some used fertilizer,and the ratooning rice and rice yield by using more N fertilizer decreased to the most signifi cant level than less fertilizer ones. The rice yield by using some fertilizer increased to the most signif icant level than no fertilizer ones for mid-season+rationing rice and rice yield by using some fertilizer had no obvious differences at different nitrogen levels. Therefore,application of fertilizer can improve yield of mid-season rice and mid-season+rationing rice. Soil test results showed that nutrient contents in rice fi eld in South Sichuan were very rich in nitrogen,which could provide more adequate crop growth potential soil nitrogen nutrition. The crops with a deep root system had stronger ability of utilization on soil nitrogen. 3Improved methodology for efficient establishment of the myocardial ischemia-reperfusion model in pigs through the median thoracic incision显示文摘To investigate the feasibility and effectiveness of establishing porcine ischemia-reperfusion models by ligating the left anterior descending(LAD)coronary artery,we first randomly divided 16 male Bama pigs into a sham group and a model group.After anesthesia,we separated the arteries and veins.Subsequently,we rapidly located the LAD coronary artery at the beginning of its first diagonal branch through a mid-chest incision.Then,we loosened and released the ligation line after five minutes of pre-occlusion.Finally,we ligated the LAD coronary artery in situ two minutes later and loosened the ligature 60 min after ischemia.Compared with the sham group,electrocardiogram showed multiple continuous lead ST-segment elevations,and ultrasound cardiogram showed significantly lower ejection fraction and left ventricular fractional shortening at one hour and seven days post-operation in the model group.Twenty-four hours after the operation,cardiac troponin T and creatine kinase-MB isoenzyme levels significantly increased in the model group,compared with the sham group.Hematoxylin and eosin staining showed the presence of many inflammatory cells infiltrating the interstitium of the myocardium in the model group but not in the sham group.Masson staining revealed a significant increase in infarct size in the ischemia/reperfusion group.All eight pigs in the model group recovered with normal sinus heart rates,and the survival rate was 100%.In conclusion,the method can provide an accurate and stable large animal model for preclinical research on ischemia/reperfusion with a high success rate and homogeneity of the myocardial infarction area.Liuhua Zhou Jiateng Sun Tongtong Yang Sibo Wang Tiankai Shan Lingfeng Gu Jiawen Chen Tianwen Wei Di Zhao Chong Du Yulin Bao Hao Wang Xiaohu Lu Haoliang Sun Meng Lv Di Yang Liansheng Wang 2023The Journal of Biomedical Research2023,37,4:1
4How does working from home affect developer productivity?-A case study of Baidu during the COVID-19 pandemic显示文摘Nowadays,working from home(WFH)has become a popular work arrangement due to its many potential benefits for both companies and employees(e.g.,increasing job satisfaction and retention of employees).Many previous studies have investigated the impact of WFH on the productivity of employees.However,most of these studies usually use a qualitative analysis method such as surveys and interviews,and the studied participants do not work from home for a long continuing time.Due to the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),a large number of companies asked their employees to work from home,which provides us an opportunity to investigate whether WFH affects their productivity.In this study,to investigate the difference in developer productivity between WFH and working onsite,we conduct a quantitative analysis based on a dataset of developers’daily activities from Baidu Inc.,one of the largest IT companies in China.In total,we collected approximately four thousand records of 139 developers’activities of 138 working days.Out of these records,1103 records are submitted when developers work from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.We find that WFH has both positive and negative impacts on developer productivity in terms of different metrics,e.g.,the number of builds/commits/code reviews.We also notice that WFH has different impacts on projects with different characteristics including programming language,project type/age/size.For example,WFH has a negative impact on developer productivity for large projects.Additionally,we find that productivity varies for different developers.Based on these findings,we get some feedback from developers of Baidu and understand some reasons why WFH has different impacts on developer productivity.We also conclude several implications for both companies and developers.Lingfeng BAO Tao LI Xin XIA Kaiyu ZHU Hui LI Xiaohu YANG 2022Science China(Information Sciences)2022,65,4:0
5Automated Android application permission recommendation显示文摘The number of Android applications has increased rapidly as Android is becoming the dominant platform in the smartphone market. Security and privacy are key factors for an Android application to be successful. Android provides a permission mechanism to ensure security and privacy. This permission mechanism requires that developers declare the sensitive resources required by their applications. On installation or during runtime, users are required to agree with the permission request. However, in practice, there are numerous popular permission misuses, despite Android introducing official documents stating how to use these permissions properly. Some data mining techniques(e.g., association rule mining) have been proposed to help better recommend permissions required by an API. In this paper, based on popular techniques used to build recommendation systems, we propose two novel approaches to improve the effectiveness of the prior work. The first approach utilizes a collaborative filtering technique, which is inspired by the intuition that apps that have similar features — inferred from their APIs — usually share similar permissions. The second approach recommends permissions based on a text mining technique that uses a naive Bayes multinomial classification algorithm to build a prediction model by analyzing descriptions of apps. To evaluate these two approaches, we use 936 Android apps from F-Droid, which is a repository of free and open source Android applications. 6Analysis on the combination ability and stability of rice restore line Yihui1577显示文摘Yihui1577 was bred after over 10 generations by crossing R16 and Yunnan purple rice.Many new hybrid rice varieties had been bred with Yihui1577,of which Gangyou1577,Ⅱyou1577,Nyou1577 and Yixiang1577 were certified by Sichuan Province Crop Variety Release Committee,Gangyou1577 and Yixiang1577 were certified by National Crop Variety Release Committee.The series varieties bred with Yihui1577 had been used widely with accumulated areas of 1 200 000 hm2.By using Yihui1577 as breeding material,an excellent restore line Yihui 3003 and some other restore lines,such as Yihui1979,Yihui 315 with good rice quality and good combination ability had been bred.Analysis of combination ability and stability about restore line Yihui1577 was made by using agricultural experimentation and statistical approach.The combination ability analysis was made in complete dual crossing method with 4 CMS lines and 6 restorer lines.It showed that the general combination ability effect value of Yihui1577 was 0.226,while Minghui63 was-0.113.So the general combination ability of Yihui1577 was prior to that of Minghui 63.Stability analysis showed that the F value of Gangyou1577 was 1.81378,while Sanyou 63 was 1.40327,both didn't reach significant level.So Gangyou1577 had the same stability as Sanyou63.The same conclusion had got in the stability analysis of the breeds ofⅡyou 1577,Yixiang1577,Nyou 1577 and so on.BAO Lingfeng LIN Gang ZHAO Deming LI Yunwu HE Bing 2007Journal of Northeast Agricultural University(English Edition)2007,14,4:0
