1Superabsorbent Fibers for Comfortable Disposable Medical Protective Clothing显示文摘Disposable medical protective clothing for 2019-nCoV mainly consists of stacked layers with nanopore films,polymer coated nonwoven fabrics and melt-blown nonwoven fabrics against anti-microbial and anti-liquid penetration.However,such structures lack moisture permeability and breathability leading to an uncomfortable,stuffy wearing experience.Here,we propose a novel medical protective clothing material with a superabsorbent layer to enhance moisture absorption.Poly(acrylic acid-co-acrylamide)/polyvinyl alcohol superabsorbent fibers(PAAAM/PVA fibers)were prepared via wet spinning.And the superabsorbent composite layer was stacked from PAAAM/PVA fibers,bamboo pulp fibers(BPF)and ethylene-propyl-ene side by side fibers(ESF).The novel disposable medical protective composite fabric was obtained through gluing the superabsorbent layer to the inner surface of strong antistatic polypropylene nonwoven fabric.The resultant composite fabric possesses excellent absorption and retention capacity for sweat,up to 12.3 g/g and 63.8%,and a maximum hygroscopic rate of 1.04 g/h,higher than that of the conventional material(only 0.53 g/h).The moisture permeability of the novel material reached 12,638.5 g/(m^(2) d),which was 307.6%of the conventional material.The novel material can effectively reduce the humidity inside the protective clothing and significantly improve the comfort of medical staff.Lin Yang Hong Liu Shuai Ding Jiawei Wu Yan Zhang Zhongzhen Wang Lili Wei Mingwei Tian Guangming Tao 2020Advanced Fiber Materials2020,2,3:11
2Protonation induced high-T_c phases in iron-based superconductors evidenced by NMR and magnetization measurements显示文摘Chemical substitution during growth is a well-established method to manipulate electronic states of quantum materials, and leads to rich spectra of phase diagrams in cuprate and iron-based superconductors. Here we report a novel and generic strategy to achieve nonvolatile electron doping in series of(i.e.11 and 122 structures) Fe-based superconductors by ionic liquid gating induced protonation at room temperature. Accumulation of protons in bulk compounds induces superconductivity in the parent compounds, and enhances the Tclargely in some superconducting ones. Furthermore, the existence of proton in the lattice enables the first proton nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) study to probe directly superconductivity. Using Fe S as a model system, our NMR study reveals an emergent high-Tcphase with no coherence peak which is hard to measure by NMR with other isotopes. 3Analysis and case study on multi-dimensional scalability of the Internet architecture显示文摘This paper presents the definition of multi-dimensional scalability of the Internet architecture,and puts forward a mathematical method to evaluate Internet scal-ability based on a variety of constraints. Then,the method is employed to study the Internet scalability problem in performance,scale and service scalability. Based on the examples,theoretical analysis and experimental simulation are conducted to address the scalability issue. 4Ocean Observation Technologies:A Review显示文摘Covering about three quarters of the surface area of the earth,the ocean is a critical source of sustenance,medicine,and commerce.However,such vast expanse in both surface area and depth,presents myriad observing challenges for researchers,such as corrosion,attenuation of electromagnetic waves,and high pressure.Ocean observation technologies are progressing from the conventional single node,static and short-term modalities to multiple nodes,dynamic and long-term modalities,to increase the density of both temporal and spatial samplings.Although people’s knowledge of the oceans has been still quite limited,the contributions of many nations cooperating to develop the Global Ocean Observing System(GOOS)have remarkably promoted the development of ocean observing technologies.This paper reviews the typical observing technologies deployed from the sea surface to the seafloor,and discusses the future trend of the ocean observation systems with the docking technology and sustained ocean energy.Mingwei Lin Canjun Yang 2020Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2020,33,2:6
5Proteomics provides individualized options of precision medicine for patients with gastric cancer显示文摘While precision medicine driven by genome sequencing has revolutionized cancer care,such as lung cancer,its impact on gastric cancer(GC)has been minimal.GC patients are routinely treated with chemotherapy,but only a fraction of them receive the clinical benefit.There is an urgent need to develop biomarkers or algorithms to select chemo-sensitive patients or apply targeted therapy.Here,we carried out retrospective analyses of 1,020 formalin-fixed,paraffin-embedded GC surgical resection samples from 5 hospitals and developed a mass spectrometry-based workflow for proteomic subtyping of GC.We identified two proteomic subtypes:the chemo-sensitive group(CSG)and the chemo-insensitive group(CIG)in the discovery set.The 5-year overall survival of CSG was significantly improved in patients who had received adjuvant chemotherapy after surgery compared with those who received surgery only(64.2%vs.49.6%;Cox P-value=0.002),whereas no such improvement was observed in CIG(50.0%vs.58.6%;Cox P-value=0.495).We validated these results in an independent validation set.Further,differential proteome analysis uncovered 9 FDA-approved drugs that may be applicable for targeted therapy of GC.A prospective study is warranted to test these findings for future GC patient care.Wenwen Huang Dongdong Zhan Yazhuo Li Nairen Zheng Xin Wei Bin Bai Kecheng Zhang Mingwei Liu Xuefei Zhao Xiaotian Ni Xia Xia Jinwen Shi Cheng Zhang Zhihao Lu Jiafu Ji Juan Wang Shiqi Wang Gang Ji Jipeng Li Yongzhan Nie Wenquan Liang Xiaosong Wu Jianxin Cui Yongsheng Meng Feilin Cao Tieliu Shi Weimin Zhu Yi Wang Lin Chen Qingchuan Zhao Hongwei Wang Lin Shen Jun Qin 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,8:3
6A Fuzzy-based Sliding Mode Control Approach for Acceleration Slip Regulation of Battery Electric Vehicle显示文摘Due to quick response and large quantity of electric motor torque,the traction wheels of battery electric vehicle are easy to slip during the initial phase of starting.In this paper,a sliding mode control approach of acceleration slip regulation is designed to prevent the slip of the traction wheels.The wheel slip ratio is used as the state variable for the formulation of system dynamics model.The fuzzy algorithm is utilized to adjust the switch function of sliding mode controller.After stability and robustness analysis,the sliding mode control law is transferred into C code and downloaded into vehicle control unit,which is validated under wet and dry road conditions.The experimental results with a small overshoot and a quick response during starting indicate that the sliding mode controller has good control efect on the slip ratio regulation.This article proposes an acceleration slip regulation method that improves the safety during acceleration for battery electric vehicle.Qin Shi Mingwei Wang Zejia He Cheng Yao Yujiang Wei Lin He 2022Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2022,35,4:2

16Prognostic factors in children with acute fulminant myocarditis receiving venoarterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation显示文摘Background Pediatric acute fulminant myocarditis(AFM)is a very dangerous disease that may lead to acute heart failure or even sudden death.Previous reports have identified some prognostic factors in adult AFM;however,there is no such research on children with AFM on venoarterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(VA-ECMO).This study aimed to find relevant prognostic factors for predicting adverse clinical outcomes.Methods A retrospective analysis was performed in an affiliated university children’s hospital with consecutive patients receiving VA-ECMO for AFM from July 2010 to November 2020.These children were classified into a survivor group(n=33)and a non-survivor group(n=8).Patient demographics,clinical events,laboratory findings,and electrocardiographic and echocardiographic parameters were analyzed.Results Peak serum creatinine(SCr)and peak creatine kinase isoenzyme MB during ECMO had joint predictive value for in-hospital mortality(p=0.011,AUC=0.962).Based on multivariable logistic regression analysis,peak SCr level during ECMO support was an independent predictor of in-hospital mortality(OR=1.035,95%CI 1.006 to 1.064,p=0.017,AUC=0.936,with optimal cut-off value of 78μmol/L).Conclusion Tissue hypoperfusion and consequent end-organ damage ultimately hampered the outcomes.The need for left atrial decompression indicated a sicker patient on ECMO and introduced additional risk for complications.Earlier and more cautious deployment would likely be associated with decreased risk of complications and mortality.Mingwei Sun Qing Zong Li Fen Ye Yong Fan Lijun Yang Ru Lin 2022World Journal of Pediatric Surgery2022,5,1:1
