1Theil Utility Based Multi-Device Cooperation Mechanism for Service Quality Equilibrium in Ubiquitous Stub Environments显示文摘An approach to make heterogeneous devices cooperate with each other to provide ubiquitous service remains a longstanding challenge in ubiquitous environments. In addition, when multi-user request ubiquitous services simultaneously, the arbitrariness in resource allocation process easily leads to non-equilibrium of qualities of multiuser's services. Thus, How to design an effective heterogeneous devices cooperation mechanism that meet the QoS requirements and also equilibrate QoS among multi-user's services becomes a very tough problem. In the paper, Equilibrium Index and Theil Utility function are imported to establish a multidevice equilibrium cooperation model, which is benefit for resource allocation in ubiquitous environments. Then a Theil-Equilibrium based Cooperation Mechanism for multi-service is proposed. Firstly, in order to simplify calculating, a dimensionless processing is introduced. After that, a cooperation approach with Theil-Utility Heuristic algorithm is designed to choose the best solution for the simplified model. At last, the mechanism is simulated in a smart home scenario. The simulation results show that this mechanism outperforms non-equilibrium method by improving almost 40% in internal equilibrium with just reducing 0-2% in the total utility ofall the requested ubiquitous services. 3Worldwide impacts of atmospheric vapor pressure deficit on the interannual variability of terrestrial carbon sinks显示文摘Interannual variability of the terrestrial ecosystem carbon sink is substantially regulated by various environmental variables and highly dominates the interannual variation of atmospheric carbon dioxide(CO_(2))concentrations.Thus,it is necessary to determine dominating factors affecting the interannual variability of the carbon sink to improve our capability of predicting future terrestrial carbon sinks.Using global datasets derived from machine-learning methods and process-based ecosystem models,this study reveals that the inter annual variability of the atmospheric vapor pressure deficit(VPD)was significantly negatively correlated with net ecosystem production(NEP)and substantially impacted the inter annual variability of the atmospheric CO_(2)growth rate(CGR).Further analyses found widespread constraints of VPD interannual variability on terrestrial gross primary production(GPP),causing VPD to impact NEP and CGR.Partial correlation analysis confirms the persistent and widespread impacts of VPD on terrestrial carbon sinks compared to other environmental variables.Current Earth system models underestimate the interannual variability in VPD and its impacts on GPP and NEP.Our results highlight the importance of VPD for terrestrial carbon sinks in assessing ecosystems'responses to future climate conditions.Bin He Chen Chen Shangrong Lin Wenping Yuan Hans WChen Deliang Chen Yafeng Zhang Lanlan Guo Xiang Zhao Xuebang Liu Shilong Piao Ziqian Zhong Rui Wang Rui Tang 2022National Science Review2022,9,4:1

5CMLP: Exploiting Caches at Multiple Levels of Proxies to Enhance Seamless Mobility Support in Information-Centric Networks显示文摘The recent evolution of the Internet towards 'Information-centric' transfer modes has renewed the interest in exploiting proxies to enhance seamless mobility. In this work, we focus on the case of multiple levels of proxies in ICN architectures, in which content requests from mobile subscribers and the corresponding items are proactively cached to these proxies at different levels. Specifically, we present a multiple-level proactive caching model that selects the appropriate subset of proxies at different levels and supports distributed online decision procedures in terms of the tradeoff between delay and cache cost. We show via extensive simulations the reduction of up to 31.63% in the total cost relative to Full Caching, in which caching in all 1-level neighbor proxies is performed, and up to 84.21% relative to No Caching, in which no caching is used. 6The smallest in the deepest:the enigmatic role of viruses in the deep biosphere显示文摘It is commonly recognized that viruses control the composition,metabolism,and evolutionary trajectories of prokaryotic communities,with resulting vital feedback on ecosystem functioning and nutrient cycling in a wide range of ecosystems.Although the deep biosphere has been estimated to be the largest reservoir for viruses and their prokaryotic hosts,the biology and ecology of viruses therein remain poorly understood.The deep virosphere is an enigmatic field of study in which many critical questions are still to be answered.Is the deep virosphere simply a repository for deeply preserved,non-functioning virus particles?Or are deep viruses infectious agents that can readily infect suitable hosts and subsequently shape microbial populations and nutrient cycling?Can the cellular content released by viral lysis,and even the organic structures of virions themselves,serve as the source of bioavailable nutrients for microbial activity in the deep biosphere as in other ecosystems?In this review,we synthesize our current knowledge of viruses in the deep biosphere and seek to identify topics with the potential for substantial discoveries in the future.Lanlan Cai Markus GWeinbauer Le Xie Rui Zhang 2023National Science Review2023,10,4:0
7An Incentive Mechanism Model for Crowdsensing with Distributed Storage in Smart Cities显示文摘Crowdsensing,as a data collection method that uses the mobile sensing ability of many users to help the public collect and extract useful information,has received extensive attention in data collection.Since crowdsensing relies on user equipment to consume resources to obtain information,and the quality and distribution of user equipment are uneven,crowdsensing has problems such as low participation enthusiasm of participants and low quality of collected data,which affects the widespread use of crowdsensing.This paper proposes to apply the blockchain to crowdsensing and solve the above challenges by utilizing the characteristics of the blockchain,such as immutability and openness.An architecture for constructing a crowdsensing incentive mechanism under distributed incentives is proposed.A multi-attribute auction algorithm and a k-nearest neighbor-based sensing data quality determination algorithm are proposed to support the architecture.Participating users upload data,determine data quality according to the algorithm,update user reputation,and realize the selection of perceived data.The process of screening data and updating reputation value is realized by smart contracts,which ensures that the information cannot be tampered with,thereby encouraging more users to participate.Results of the simulation show that using two algorithms can well reflect data quality and screen out malicious data.With the help of blockchain performance,the architecture and algorithm can achieve decentralized storage and tamper-proof information,which helps to motivate more users to participate in perception tasks and improve data quality.Jiaxing Wang Lanlan Rui Yang Yang Zhipeng Gao Xuesong Qiu 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,76,8:0

9Two-Stage Edge-Side Fault Diagnosis Method Based on Double Knowledge Distillation显示文摘With the rapid development of the Internet of Things(IoT),the automation of edge-side equipment has emerged as a significant trend.The existing fault diagnosismethods have the characteristics of heavy computing and storage load,and most of them have computational redundancy,which is not suitable for deployment on edge devices with limited resources and capabilities.This paper proposes a novel two-stage edge-side fault diagnosis method based on double knowledge distillation.First,we offer a clustering-based self-knowledge distillation approach(Cluster KD),which takes the mean value of the sample diagnosis results,clusters them,and takes the clustering results as the terms of the loss function.It utilizes the correlations between faults of the same type to improve the accuracy of the teacher model,especially for fault categories with high similarity.Then,the double knowledge distillation framework uses ordinary knowledge distillation to build a lightweightmodel for edge-side deployment.We propose a two-stage edge-side fault diagnosismethod(TSM)that separates fault detection and fault diagnosis into different stages:in the first stage,a fault detection model based on a denoising auto-encoder(DAE)is adopted to achieve fast fault responses;in the second stage,a diverse convolutionmodel with variance weighting(DCMVW)is used to diagnose faults in detail,extracting features frommicro andmacro perspectives.Through comparison experiments conducted on two fault datasets,it is proven that the proposed method has high accuracy,low delays,and small computation,which is suitable for intelligent edge-side fault diagnosis.In addition,experiments show that our approach has a smooth training process and good balance.Yang Yang Yuhan Long Yijing Lin Zhipeng Gao Lanlan Rui Peng Yu 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,76,9:0
10Context-Based Intelligent Scheduling and Knowledge Push Algorithms for AR-Assist Communication Network Maintenance显示文摘Maintenance is an important aspect in the lifecycle of communication network devices.Prevalent problems in the maintenance of communication networks include inconvenient data carrying and sub-optimal scheduling of work orders,which significantly restrict the efficiency of maintenance work.Moreover,most maintenance systems are still based on cloud architectures that slow down data transfer.With a focus on the completion time,quality,and load balancing of maintenance work,we propose in this paper a learning-based virus evolutionary genetic algorithm with multiple quality-ofservice(QoS)constraints to implement intelligent scheduling in an edge network.The algorithm maintains the diversity of the population and improves the speed of convergence using a fitness function and a learning-based population generation mechanism.The test results demonstrate that the algorithm delivers good performance in terms of load balancing and QoS guarantee.We also propose a knowledge push algorithm based on a context model for intelligently pushing relevant knowledge according to the given conditions.The simulation results demonstrate that our scheme can improve the efficiency of on-site maintenance.Lanlan Rui Yabin Qin Biyao Li Zhipeng Gao 2019Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2019,,2:0
11Physical and Mechanical Properties of Catalpa bungei Clones and Estimation of the Properties by Near-Infrared Spectroscopy显示文摘Air-dry density,modulus of rupture(MOR),modulus of elasticity(MOE),compressive strength parallel to grain,and hardness of Catalpa bungei clones were investigated in this study with feasibility of predicting these properties by near infrared(NIR)spectroscopy.The best candidate Luoqiu 3'has been selected from three clones based on wood physical and mechanical property indices.Lower values of wood physical and mechanical properties have been found in the corewood compared to the outerwood.There were significant positive correlations between the air-dry density and mechanical properties.Information from Cross section for air dry density,compressive strength parallel to grain,and hardness yielded prediction models with better effects,along with the best MOR and MOE modeling effects resulted from average sections'spectra collection.Multiplicative scatter correction(MSC)+Savitzky-Golay(S-G)smoothing method has been proved to be the most applicable way.In addition,the predictions from five point sampling method were slightly better than three point one.Overall,results suggest NIR spectroscopy was viable to predict the physical and mechanical properties of C bungei dones with methods developed in this study proved effective in preliminary screening.Rui Wang Lanlan Shi Yurong Wang 2022Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,12:0
