| 1 | The influence of the Madden-Julian Oscillation activity anomalies on Yunnan's extreme drought of 2009-2010显示文摘Yunnan Province of China suffered a record-breaking drought that persisted from autumn 2009 into spring 2010. The present study examined the physical causes of this extreme drought event in terms of persistent anomalies of intraseasonal oscillation in the tropical atmosphere (the Madden-Julian Oscillation hereafter the MJO). The results show that the occurrence of severe drought in Yunnan was caused directly by deficient rainfall lasting from the summer of 2009 to the spring of 2010. Further exploration reveals a persistent positive variation of MJO index 1 from June to October. Accordingly, the convective activity over the Bay of Bengal (BOB) weakened continuously, and then an anomalous descending airflow was induced over the tropical Indian Ocean, resulted in the anomalous weakening of vertical Asian monsoon circulation in South Asia. Consequently, the transport of water vapor from the tropical Indian Ocean to Yunnan decreased abnormally, leading to persistent below-normal rainfall over Yunnan from summer to autumn in 2009. As a result, a severe drought began to appear in autumn. In the winter of 2009-2010, MJO index 1 remained persistently positive, indicating the continuous weakening of convective activity over the BOB. The atmospheric circulation associated with the persistent positive anomalies in the MJO also demonstrated anomalous patterns. Specifically, there was an anomalous high-pressure ridge stretching from South Asia through the Tibetan Plateau and into the western part of southwestern China. This indicates that the atmospheric circulation over Yunnan was dominated by vertical descending airflow in the high-pressure ridge. Simultaneously, the India-Burma trough was weakened, which resulted in unfavorable conditions for the transport of water vapor from the BOB to Yunnan, causing the observed persistent deficient precipitation in winter and the subsequently intensified drought. | 2 | Large Scale One-Pot Synthesis of Monodispersed Na_(3)(VOPO_(4))_(2)F Cathode for Na-Ion Batteries显示文摘Na-ion batteries(NIBs)have received significant interest as potential candidates for large-scale energy storage owing to the widespread distribution of sodium and superior low-temperature performance.However,their commercial application is usually hindered by the high production cost and inadequate performance for electrode materials,particularly for cathodes.Na_(3)(VOPO_(4))_(2)F(NVOPF)has been recognized as one of the most promising cathodes for high-energy NIBs owing to the high working voltage and energy density.Here,we report a facile highly efficient room-temperature solution protocol for large-scale synthesis of NVOPF cathode for NIBs.By simply regulating pH,NVOPF can be obtained,which delivered a discharge capacity of 120.2 mAh g^(-1) at 0.1 C and 72%capacity retention over 8000 cycles at 25 C.Besides,the kilogram-level NVOPF products have been synthesized,and 26650 cylindrical cells were fabricated,which exhibit excellent cycling stabilities,remarkable lowtemperature performance with comparable safety features.We hope our findings could provide insights on the industrial application of NVOPF in NIBs. | Qiangqiang Zhang Xing Shen Quan Zhou Kaixuan Li Feixiang Ding Yaxiang Lu Junmei Zhao Liquan Chen Yong-Sheng Hu | 2022 | Energy Material Advances2022,,1: | 2 |

| 5 | Construction of a Multipurpose M13KE Phage Display System显示文摘In this study,a multipurpose M13 KE phage display vector was constructed from wild-type M13 KE phage for long peptide or protein display libraries without helper phage to expand the scope of targeted high-throughput screening. Based on the relationship between the structure and function of minor coat protein of wild-type M13KE( wt-p III),a truncated gene III( tg III) encoding minor coat protein from M13 KE phage was cloned. A fusion gene fragment harboring a lac / tac promoter,signal peptide and C-terminal region sequence of g III was assembled with SOEing-PCR( splice-overlapping-extension polymerase chain reaction)method and inserted into M13 KE vector. SDS-PAGE and Western blot analysis with anti-M13 p III monoclonal antibody were employed to detect the expression of recombinant protein. c-Myc and HA tag sequences were fused into the recombinant protein. The results showed that tg III was inserted into an unessential region of M13 KE. According to the results of SDS-PAGE and Western blot with anti-M13 p III antibody,p III was expressed by wt-g III and tg III. g III harboring two tags expressed both c-Myc and HA peptides using SDS-PAGE and Western blot with the corresponding monoclonal antibodies. In this study,a multipurpose M13 KE phage display system was successfully constructed,which could express both short and long peptide libraries without helper phage. | 6 | Ductility Anisotropy Induced by Ferrite in Direct Laser Deposited 17-4 PH Steel: Combined Microstructure and Dislocation Density Simulation显示文摘The anisotropic ductility of a direct laser deposited 17-4 PH cubic part was investigated.Anisotropic elongations in the specimens from varied surfaces of the part were obtained:~6.2%,~1.5%,and~4.5%in XY,YZ,and XZ samples,respectively.Furthermore,various orientations of ferrite were found in different specimens,taking the loading direction as reference.A finite element analysis depending on actual microstructures and dislocation density revealed that the orientation of ferrite caused the ductility anisotropy.The orientation of ferrite affected its plastic deformability and the deformation compatibility between phases during the uniaxial loading.The ferrite parallel to the tensile direction in the YZ sample had the worst deformability and induced severe strain localization and stress triaxiality,which resulted in inferior ductility.The ferrite perpendicular to the tensile direction showed the best deformability,whereas strain localization remained intense in the XZ sample owing to the unmatched deformability of martensite.The inclined ferrite in the XY sample exhibited moderate deformability and was found to enhance the plastic flow of martensite,leading to the best deformation compatibility and ductility. | Chuanfeng Wu Junmei Chen Zhiyuan Yu Hao Lu Chun Yu Jijin Xu | 2021 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2021,34,6: | 0 |
