1Theoretical framework of dualistic nature–social water cycle显示文摘The global climate change and intensification of human activities in recent decades have made profound changes in hydrological cycle processes and water resources,and produced serious water problems and water crisis in many areas.The main reason is that the driving force of water cycle,the structure of water cycle,and the parameters of water cycle have dualistically evolved under the influence of human activities,and consequently resulted in reduction of runoff water resources,water pollution,and degradation of natural ecosystems.In order to realize of the safety aim of water supply,water environment,and ecosystem in area which is short of water resources,scientific regulation of water resources must take basin water cycle system as the unified base,and the first scientific basis is the awareness of the internal mechanism and law of water cycle evolution under highly intensive human activities.This article discussed four aspects of dualistic water cycle evolution,including its history in China,its theory,its characteristics in a typical basin,and its description of integral structure,along with the conceptive model system to quantify it.This article can be a reference to the basic cognition of water cycle evolution in a changing environment,and the study of water resources reduction reasons in the contemporary age.Dayong Qin Chuiyu Lu Jiahong Liu Hao Wang Jianhua Wang Haihong Li Junyin Chu Genfa Chen 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,8:5
2The Roles of Countrywomen in Controlling Non-point Source Pollution显示文摘The main causes of non-point source pollution in Taihu Lake are the improper ways of crop production, animal husbandry, and daily runoff. The paper discusses the relationship between countrywomen and non-point source pollution control by 731 questionnaires in Weidu village and 466 questionnaires in Dapu Town. The roles of countrywomen have changed in families and they have close relationship with non-point source pollution. 3Transcriptome Analysis Reveals Clues into leaf-like flower mutant in Chinese orchid Cymbidium ensifolium显示文摘The floral morphology of Cymbidium ensifolium,a well-known orchid in China,has increasingly attracted horticultural and commercial attention.However,the molecular mechanisms that regulate flower development defects in C.ensifolium mutants are poorly understood.In this work,we examined a domesticated variety of C.ensifolium named‘CuiYuMuDan',or leaf-like flower mutant,which lacks typical characteristics of orchid floral organs but continues to produce sepal-to leaf-like structures along the inflorescence.We used comparative transcriptome analysis to identify 6234 genes that are differentially expressed between mutant and wild-type flowers.The majority of these differentially expre ssed genes are involved in membrane-building,anabolism regulation,and plant hormone signal transduction,implying that in the leaf-like mutant these processes play roles in the development of flower defects.In addition,we identified 152 differentially expre ssed transcription factors,including the bHLH,MYB,MIKC,and WRKY gene families.Moreover,we found 20 differentially expressed genes that are commonly involved in flower development,including MADS-box genes,CLAVATA3(CLV3),WUSCHEL(WUS),and PERIANTHIA(PAN).Among them,floral homeotic genes were further investigated by phylogenetic analysis and expression validation,which displayed distinctive spatial expression patterns and significant changes between the wild type and the mutant.This is the first report on the C.ensifolium leaf-like flower mutant transcriptome.Our results shed light on the molecular regulation of orchid flower development,and may improve our understanding of floral patterning regulation and advance molecular breeding of Chinese orchids.Yonglu Wei Jianpeng Jin Xiani Yao Chuqiao Lu Genfa Zhu Fengxi Yang 2020Plant Diversity2020,42,2:4

5Another strategy to assess sustainable development显示文摘The goal of sustainable development is to preserve sustainability and simultaneously prevent catastrophe in a man-land system. However, almost all the existing approaches to assessing sustainable development are to measure the sustainability, namely appraise from the obverse side of the sustainable development. So it seems necessary to attack the same task on the reverse, namely to measure the possibility of catastrophe. In this paper, with a case study of Tianjin, China, we employ catastrophe theory and models to integrate Tianjin’s sustainable development indicators, and then deduce the catastrophe risk index (CRI) to present the level of catastrophic possibility in the city. Applying catastrophe theory is a new strategy to assess sustainable development and shows great practical significance, especially for those developing regions or countries, who always give more priority to their economy and therefore have more obligation to make sure whether their social economic activities might bring forth any ecological environment catastrophe. Besides, being both qualitative and quantitative, the approach could be employed to explore not only static characteristics but also dynamic mechanism of man-land system. Although our work is only a maiden attempt and still calls for further effort to improve it, the case study of Tianjin in this paper would assure us the great promising future to apply catastrophe theory to sustainable development modeling.Chen Yunfeng Lu Genfa 2006Ecological Economy2006,2,2:1

8Research on regional capability constructive models of clean development mechanism显示文摘Global climate change has been identified as the first of the top ten environmental problems in the world. As climate change will have serious effects on the social and economic development and everyday living of people in the world, many of the countries and governments are taking untiring efforts to combat climate change. As one of the important mechanisms of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the Kyoto Protocol, Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) has not only provided chance for developed countries to fulf ill greenhouse emission reduction obligations, but also provided an opportunity for developing countries to combat climate change under the sustainable development frame. The dual objectives of developed countries' GHG emissions' reduction obligation achievement and developing countries' sustainable development will be achieved under the CDM. As a country with responsibility, China has been positively developing CDM projects and promoting energy saving and emissions reduction during the three years after the Kyoto Protocol came into force, and CDM projects development has always been in the front tank in the world. However, as the vast clime within China, notable differences occur in different regions. In order to promote the CDM development in China, it is necessary to have regional CDM capability construction in accordance with the practicality in different regions. Based on the Slat Analysis of developed CDM projects and current CDM development status in China, problems in the CDM development of China, including the inefficiency in small and medium-sized CDM Projects development, over centralization of CDM development scope and especially the differentiated provincial CDM projects developing capability are pointed out in the paper. What's more, reasons for the problems are analyzed from the leading factors, including policy orient, information asymmetry and weak CDM capability. 9Study on agricultural structure and non-point source pollution: a case in Dapu Town of Yixing City显示文摘The water body of Taihu Lake has been eutrophicated because of area-source pollution. 83% of the total nitrogen and 84% of the total phosphorus of the pollutant that have washed into Taihu Lake originated from the fertilizer of crop land, rural animal husbandry and living sewage and rubbish in rural area. The goal of adjusting agricultural structure is to improve agricultural development, and to increase the peasants’ income by planting non-grain crop, centralizing animal husbandry, and intensifying aquaculture, etc. It is necessary to research on the influences of agricul- ture industrial structure on area-source pollution. This paper studies a case of Dapu Town in Yixing City, which is a typical drainage place beside Taihu Lake. On the basis of the analysis on the status quo of area-source pollution and agriculture industrial structure in Dapu Town, the conflicts between them are discussed. Non-grain crop production with a great deal of fertilizer and developing aquaculture with a great deal of organic pollutant, which are directly discharged, make area-source pollution more serious and accelerate the eutrophication in Taihu Lake. 10Genome-wide association analysis identified molecular markers and candidate genes for flower traits in Chinese orchid (Cymbidium sinense)显示文摘The orchid,the champagne of f lowers,brings luxury,elegance,and novelty to nature.Cymbidium sinense is a symbol of gigantic floral variability on account ofwavering shapes and sizes of f loral organs,althoughmarker-trait association(MTA)has not been studied for its f loral traits.We evaluated markers associated with 14 f loral traits of C.sinense through a genome-wide association study(GWAS)of 195 accessions.A total of 65318522 single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)and 3906176 insertion/deletion(InDel)events were identified through genotyping-by-sequencing.Among these,4694 potential SNPs and 477 InDelswere identified as MTAs at−log10 P>5.The genes related to these SNPs and InDels were largely associated with f loral regulators,hormonal pathways,cell division,and metabolism,playing essential roles in tailoring f loral morphology.Moreover,20 candidate SNPs/InDels linked to 11 genes were verified,8 of which were situated on exons,onewas located in the 5-UTR and twowere positioned in introns.Here,themultitepal trait-related gene RABBIT EARS(RBE)was found to be the most crucial gene.We analyzed the role of CsRBE in the regulation of flower-related genes via efficient transient overexpression in C.sinense protoplasts,and found that the floral homeotic genes CsAP3 and CsPI,as well as organ boundary regulators,including CsCUC and CsTCP genes,were regulated by CsRBE.Thus,we obtained key gene loci for important ornamental traits of orchids using genome-wide association analysis of populations with natural variation.The findings of this study can do a great deal to expedite orchid breeding programs for shape variability.Fengxi Yang Yudi Guo Jie Li Chuqiao Lu Yonglu Wei Jie Gao Qi Xie Jianpeng Jin Genfa Zhu 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,11:0
