1Development of Finite Element Limiting Analysis Method and Its Applications in Geotechnical Engineering显示文摘The Finite Element Limiting Analysis Method(LELAM) has the advantage of combining a numerical analysis method with traditional limiting equilibrium methods.It is particularly applicable to the analysis and design of geotechnical engineering.In the early 20th century,FELAM has been developed vigorously in domestic geotechnical engineering over international common finite element procedures.It has made great achievements in basic theory research and computational precision,thus broadening the application fields in practical projects.In order to gradually make innovations in geotechnical design methods,some of our research results are presented,mainly including geotechnical safety factor definitions,the principles for use of the method concerned,the overall failure criterion,the deduction and selection of the yield criterion,and the measurement to improve the computational precision,etc..The application field has been broadened from two-dimensional to three-dimensional,from soil slope to jointed rock slope and foundation,from stable seepage to non-stable seepage,from slope and foundation to tunnel.This method has also been used in search of many hidden sliding surfaces of complex landslides,conducting the structural support design considering the interaction between the soil and the structure,and computing simulation foundation bearing plates load tests,etc..Zheng Yingren1,Deng Chujian1,Zhao Shangyi1,Tang Xiangsong1,Liu Mingwei1,Zhang Liming2(1 Department of Civil Engineering,Logistical Engineering University,Chongqing 400041,China 2 Department of Science and Information Engineering,Qingdao Technological University,Qingdao 266033,China) 2007工程科学(英文版)2007,5,3:27
2Effect of Biodiesel on Oxidation Stability, Detergency and Antiwear Ability of Diesel Oil显示文摘Different contents of biodiesel and petrodiesel were incorporated into diesel engine oils. The oxidative stability, detergency and antiwear performance of the formulated diesel oils were evaluated. 3Relation of loudness to loudness just noticeable difference of tone显示文摘A relation of loudness to loudness just noticeable difference (JND) is derived based on signal detection theory and the hypothesis that loudness is the nerve spike count in the duration of T, and the spike rate distribution of stable tonal stimulus is a stable normal stochastic process. 4Nonlinear generation and propagation of sum frequency and difference frequency acoustic wares within a two-dimensional rectangular duct显示文摘An approach based on partial wave theory and second-order approtimation tech nique is described for analyzing nonlinear generation and propagation of sum frequency and difference frequency acoustic waves (SDAWs) within a two-dimensional rectangular duct, which arise from the cross-interaction of longitudinal partial waves of two fundamental modes with different frequencies. It is found that SDAW holds the effects of cumulative growth once two fundamental modes with different frequencies have the same phase velocities, and that the sym metric characteristics of SDAW field patterns are dependent of that of two fundamental modes.With initial condition of excitation and matching condition of phase, the SDAW analytical expression has also been obtained in the present paper. 7Assessment of fatigue damage in solid plates through the ultrasonic Lamb wave approach显示文摘Changes(degradations) in the mechanical properties of solid plates induced by cyclic fatigue loading will influence the features of ultrasonic Lamb wave propagation,such as dispersion and attenuation.This paper has qualitatively analyzed the feasibility of using the amplitude-frequency characteristics and the stress wave factors(SWFs) of ultrasonic Lamb wave propagation to assess fatigue damage in solid plates.Liquid wedge transducers located on the surface of solid plates tested are used to generate and detect the Lamb wave signals.Based on the Ritec-SNAP ultrasonic measurement system,the experimental setup for assessing the degree of fatigue damage in solid plates using ultrasonic Lamb wave approach has been established.For several rolled aluminum sheets subjected to tension-tension cyclic loading,the experimental examinations have been performed for the relationships between the amplitude-frequency characteristics of ultrasonic Lamb wave propagation and the numbers of loading cycles(denoted by N),as well as the correlations between the Lamb wave SWFs and N.The experimental results show that the Lamb wave SWFs decrease monotonously and sensitively with the increment of cycles of fatigue loading.Based on the correlations between the Lamb wave SWFs and N,it is further verified that ultrasonic Lamb wave propagation combined with the Lamb wave SWFs can be used to effectively assess early fatigue damage in solid plates.DENG MingXi * & PEI JunFeng Department of Physics,Logistics Engineering University,Chongqing 401331,China 2010Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2010,53,7:2
