Data processing of small samples based on grey distance information approach显示文摘Data processing of small samples is an important and valuable research problem in the electronic equipment test. Because it is difficult and complex to determine the probability distribution of small samples, it is difficult to use the traditional probability theory to process the samples and assess the degree of uncertainty. Using the grey relational theory and the norm theory, the grey distance information approach, which is based on the grey distance information quantity of a sample and the average grey distance information quantity of the samples, is proposed in this article. The definitions of the grey distance information quantity of a sample and the average grey distance information quantity of the samples, with their characteristics and algorithms, are introduced. The correlative problems, including the algorithm of estimated value, the standard deviation, and the acceptance and rejection criteria of the samples and estimated results, are also proposed. Moreover, the information whitening ratio is introduced to select the weight algorithm and to compare the different samples. Several examples are given to demonstrate the application of the proposed approach. The examples show that the proposed approach, which has no demand for the probability distribution of small samples, is feasible and effective. | Ke Hongfa, Chen Yongguang & Liu Yi 1. | 2 | Interactions between engineered nanoparticles and dissolved organic matter: A review on mechanisms and environmental effects显示文摘Dissolved organic matter(DOM) is ubiquitous in the environment and has high reactivity.Once engineered nanoparticles(ENPs) are released into natural systems, interactions of DOM with ENPs may significantly affect the fate and transport of ENPs, as well as the bioavailability and toxicity of ENPs to organisms. However, because of the complexity of DOM and the shortage of useful characterization methods, large knowledge gaps exist in our understanding of the interactions between DOM and ENPs. In this article, we systematically reviewed the interactions between DOM and ENPs, discussed the effects of DOM on the environmental behavior of ENPs, and described the changes in bioavailability and toxicity of ENPs caused by DOM. Critical evaluations of published references suggest further need for assessing and predicting the influences of DOM on the transport, transformation, bioavailability, and toxicity of ENPs in the environment. | Sujuan Yu Jingfu Liu Yongguang Yin Mohai Shen | 2018 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,1: | 12
Water chemistry controlled aggregation and photo-transformation of silver nanoparticles in environmental waters显示文摘The inevitable release of engineered silver nanoparticles(Ag NPs) into aquatic environments has drawn great concerns about its environmental toxicity and safety. Although aggregation and transformation play crucial roles in the transport and toxicity of Ag NPs, how the water chemistry of environmental waters influences the aggregation and transformation of engineered Ag NPs is still not well understood. In this study, the aggregation of polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP) coated Ag NPs was investigated in eight typical environmental water samples(with different ionic strengths, hardness, and dissolved organic matter(DOM) concentrations) by using UV–visible spectroscopy and dynamic light scattering. Raman spectroscopy was applied to probe the interaction of DOM with the surface of Ag NPs. Further, the photo-transformation and morphology changes of Ag NPs in environmental waters were studied by UV–visible spectroscopy, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, and transmission electron microscopy. The results suggested that both electrolytes(especially Ca2+and Mg2+) and DOM in the surface waters are key parameters for Ag NP aggregation, and sunlight could accelerate the morphology change, aggregation, and further sedimentation of Ag NPs. This water chemistry controlled aggregation and photo-transformation should have significant environmental impacts on the transport and toxicity of Ag NPs in the aquatic environments. | Yongguang Yin Xiaoya Yang Xiaoxia Zhou Weidong Wang Sujuan Yu Jingfu Liu Guibin Jiang | 2015 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2015,27,8: | 9

Sunlight-driven reduction of silver ion to silver nanoparticle by organic matter mitigates the acute toxicity of silver to Daphnia magna显示文摘Due to the unique antibacterial activities, silver nanoparticles(AgNPs) have been extensively used in commercial products. Anthropogenic activities have released considerable AgNPs as well as highly toxic silver ion(Ag+) into the aquatic environment. Our recent study revealed that ubiquitous natural organic matter(NOM) could reduce Ag+to Ag NP under natural sunlight. However, the toxic effect of this process is not well understood. In this work, we prepared mixture solution of Ag+and AgNPs with varied Ag+% through the sunlight-driven reduction of Ag+by NOM and investigated the acute toxicity of the solutions on Daphnia magna. Formation of AgNPs was demonstrated and characterized by comprehensive techniques and the fraction of unconverted Ag+was determined by ultrafiltration-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry determination. The formation of AgNPs enhanced significantly with the increasing of solution p H and cumulative photosynthetically active radiation of sunlight. The toxicity of the resulting solution was further investigated by using freshwater crustacean D. magna as a model and an 8 hr-median lethal concentration(LC50) demonstrated that the reduction of Ag+by NOM to AgNPs significantly mitigated the acute toxicity of silver. These results highlight the importance of sunlight and NOM in the fate, transformation and toxicity of Ag+and AgNPs,and further indicate that the acute toxicity of AgNPs should be mainly ascribed to the dissolved Ag+from AgNPs. | Zhen Zhang Xiaoya Yang Mohai Shen Yongguang Yin Jingfu Liu | 2015 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2015,27,9: | 7

Endophytic bacteria associated with endangered plant Ferula sinkiangensis K. M. Shen in an arid land: diversity and plant growth-promoting traits显示文摘Ferula spp. are traditional medicinal plants found in arid land. Large-scale excavation for extracting bioactive compounds from the plants in arid regions of Xinjiang over the last few years has, however, significantly decreased their distributions. Due to the urgent need for preservation of these plant resources, along with the need of searching for alternative source of the useful metabolites, it is important to screen the endophytic microbial resources associated with the plant Ferula sinkiangensis K. M. Shen. In the study, a total of 125 endophytic bacteria belonging to 3 phyla, 13 orders, 23 families, and 29 genera were isolated based on 16 SrRNA gene sequencing data. Among the different isolates, three strains isolated from roots were potential novel species of the genera Por phyrobacter, Paracoccus and Amycolatopsis. In this study, 79.4% and 57.1% of the total isolates were capable of producing indole-3-acetic acid(IAA) and siderophore, respectively. And, 40.6% of the strains inhibit the growth of fungal pathogen Alternaria alternata, 17.2% and 20.2% strains were positive for antagonism against Verticillium dahlia 991 and V. dahlia 7, respectively. These results demonstrated that F. sinkiangensis is a rich reservoir of endophytic bacterial resources with potential for production of biologically important functions such as plant growth-promoting factors. | LIU Yonghong GUO Jianwei LI Li Mipeshwaree D ASEM ZHANG Yongguang Osama A MOHAMAD Nimaichand SALAM LI Wenjun | 2017 | Journal of Arid Land2017,9,3: | 6
Exploring Seasonal and Circadian Rhythms in Structural Traits of Field Maize from LiDAR Time Series显示文摘Plant growth rhythm in structural traits is important for better understanding plant response to the ever-changing environment.Terrestrial laser scanning(TLS)is a well-suited tool to study structural rhythm under field conditions.Recent studies have used TLS to describe the structural rhythm of trees, but no consistent patterns have been drawn.Meanwhile, whether TLS can capture structural rhythm in crops is unclear. Here,we aim to explore the seasonal and circadian rhythms in maize structural traits at both the plant and leaf levels from time-series TLS.The seasonal rhythm was studied using TLS data collected at four key growth periods, including jointing,bell-mouthed,heading,and maturity periods.Circadian rhythms were explored by using TLS data acquired around every 2 hours in a whole day under standard and cold stress conditions. Results showed that TLS can quantify the seasonal and circadian rhythm in structural traits at both plant and leaf levels.(1)Leaf inclination angle decreased significantly between the jointing stage and bell-mouthed stage.Leaf azimuth was stable after the jointing stage.(2)Some individual-level structural rhythms(e.g.,azimuth and projected leaf area/PLA)were consistent with leaf-level structural rhythms.(3)The circadian rhythms of some traits(e.g.,PLA)were not consistent under standard and cold stress conditions.(4)Environmental factors showed better correlations with leaf traits under cold stress than standard conditions.Temperature was the most important factor that significantly correlated with all leaf traits except leaf azimuth. This study highlights the potential of time-series TLS in studying outdoor agricultural chronobiology. | Shichao Jin Yanjun Su Yongguang Zhang Shilin Song Qing Li Zhonghua Liu Qin Ma Yan Ge LingLi Liu Yanfeng Ding Frédéric Baret Qinghua Guo | 2021 | Plant Phenomics2021,3,1: | 5

Chromatin remodeling factor lymphoid.specific helicase inhibits ferroptosis through lipid metabolic genes in lung cancer progression显示文摘Ferroptosis, a novel mode of non-apoptotic cell death, involves a metabolic dysfunction that results in the production of iron-dependent reactive oxygen species (ROS),an iron carrier protein (transferrin), intracellular metabolic process, and related regulators (e.g., p53 protein).Previous studies have linked ferroptosis with oncogenic Ras [1], and p53 tumor suppressor positively regulates ferroptosis by transcriptionally inhibiting the expression of the cysteine/glutamate antiporter, which is encoded by the SLC7A11 gene in human [1, 2]. Whether other factors such as epigenetic factors are involved in the process remains less known.Chromatin modifier lymphoid specific helicase (LSH)contributes to the malignant progression of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and glioma [3]. We recently indicated that LSH was shown to co-operate with partners, such as G9a, to drive cancer progression [4, 5]. | Yiqun Jiang Yuchen He Shuang Liu Yongguang Tao | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Cancer2017,36,12: | 4

Narrow bandwidth fiber-optic spectral combs for renewable hydrogen detection显示文摘Hydrogen sensors are of great importance to detect leakage in time because the hydrogen-air mixture is highly flammable.Based on optical fiber-based configurations reported so far, using palladium coating only does not meet stringent performance targets, such as fast response time and limited deactivation caused by poisoning. Here,a palladium-gold alloy-coated optical fiber hydrogen sensor,i.e.,highly tilted fiber Bragg grating(TFBG),was proposed by using its narrow bandwidth cladding modes whose effective refractive index(ERI)extends to 1.0 where the gas measurement is possible, which led to faster specific hydrogen measurement response time(a shorter stabilization time during the association and dissociation phases less than 20s and 30s,respectively)and improved deactivation resistance(higher than 99%per test cycle).Meanwhile, the temperature cross-sensitivity can be eliminated via referencing the'target'spectral combs to the core mode.We are sure that this promising configuration extends research directions for rapid, repeatable and high deactivation-resistance in hydrogen gas detection. | Shunshuo CAI Fu LIU Runlin WANG Yongguang XIAO Kaiwei LI Christophe CAUCHETEUR Tuan GUO | 2020 | Science China(Information Sciences)2020,63,12: | 4
Algorithm for Calculating Torque Base in Vehicle Traction Control System显示文摘Existing research on the traction control system(TCS) mainly focuses on control methods, such as the PID control, fuzzy logic control, etc, aiming at achieving an ideal slip rate of the drive wheel over long control periods. The initial output of the TCS (referred to as the torque base in this paper), which has a great impact on the driving performance of the vehicle in early cycles, remains to be investigated. In order to improve the control performance of the TCS in the first several cycles, an algorithm is proposed to determine the torque base. First, torque bases are calculated by two different methods, one based on states judgment and the other based on the vehicle dynamics. The confidence level of the torque base calculated based on the vehicle dynamics is also obtained. The final torque base is then determined based on the two torque bases and the confidence level. Hardware-in-the-loop(HIL) simulation and vehicle tests emulating sudden start on low friction roads have been conducted to verify the proposed algorithm. The control performance of a PID-controlled TCS with and without the proposed torque base algorithm is compared, showing that the proposed algorithm improves the performance of the TCS over the first several cycles and enhances about 5% vehicle speed by contrast. The proposed research provides a more proper initial value for TCS control, and improves the performance of the first several control cycles of the TCS. | LI Hongzhi LI Liang SONG Jian WU Kaihui QIAO Yanjuan LIU Xingchun XIA Yongguang | 2012 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2012,25,6: | 4
Optimal flight parameters of unmanned helicopter for tea plantation frost protection显示文摘To determine proper flight parameters of an unmanned helicopter for tea plantation frost protection, field experiments were conducted to study the impact of flight height, speed and interval on airflow disturbance and temperature rise around tea canopies based on the analysis and simulation of frost protection with a certain helicopter. The relationship between temperature rise after flight and the above flight parameters was established through a regression orthogonal experiment, based on which the optimal combination of flight parameters was obtained through the single-factor golden section method. The results showed that wind speed around tea canopies decreased with the increase of flight height when flight speed was constant. There was a multivariate linear relationship between temperature rise and flight parameters, and the sequence of flight parameters’influence on frost protection effect was flight interval, flight height, flight speed. The optimal combination of flight parameters were flight height of 4.0 m,flight speed of 6.0 m/s and flight interval of 20 min. After the flight with the above parameters air temperature around tea canopies increased 1.6℃ when background thermal inversion strength was 3.8℃. | Hu Yongguang Liu Shengzhong Wu Wenye Wang Jizhang Shen Jianwen | 2015 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,5: | 4
Evaluating the blank contamination and recovery of sample pretreatment procedures for analyzing organophosphorus flame retardants in waters显示文摘Organophosphate esters(OPEs), used as flame retardants and plasticizers, are widely present in environmental waters. Development of accurate determination methods for trace OPEs in water is urgent for understanding the fate and risk of this class of emerging pollutants. However, the wide use of OPEs in experimental materials results in blank interference, which influences the accuracy of analytical results. In the present work, blank contamination and recovery of pretreatment procedures for analysis of OPEs in water samples were systematically examined for the first time. Blank contaminations were observed in filtration membranes, glass bottles, solid phase extraction cartridges, and nitrogen blowing instruments. These contaminations could be as high as 6.4–64 ng/L per treatment. Different kinds of membranes were compared in terms of contamination levels left after common glassware cleaning, and a special wash procedure was proposed to eliminate the contamination from membranes. Meanwhile, adsorption of highly hydrophobic OPEs on the inside wall of glass bottles was found to be 42.4%–86.1%, which was the primary cause of low recoveries and was significantly reduced by an additional washing step with acetonitrile. This work is expected to provide guidelines for the establishment of analysis methods for OPEs in aqueous samples. | Kang Liang Yumin Niu Yongguang Yin Jingfu Liu | 2015 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2015,27,8: | 3
Distributed Second-Order Continuous-Time Optimization via Adaptive Algorithm with Nonuniform Gradient Gains显示文摘This paper addresses the distributed adaptive optimization problem over second-order multi-agent networks(MANs)with nonuniform gradient gains.A general convex function consisting of a sum of local differentiable convex functions is chosen as the team objective function.First, based on the local information of each agent’s neighborhood,a novel distributed adaptive optimization algorithm with nonuniform gradient gains is designed, where these gains only have relations with agents’own states. And then, the original closed-loop system is changed into an equivalent one by taking a coordination transformation. Moreover,it is proved that the states including positions and velocities of all agents are bounded by constructing a Lyapunov function provided that the initial values are given.By the theory of Lyapunov stability,it is shown that all agents can finally reach an agreement and their position states converge to the optimal solution of the team objective function asymptotically. Finally, the effectiveness of the obtained theoretical results is demonstrated by several simulation examples. | MO Lipo LIU Xiaodong CAO Xianbing YU Yongguang | 2020 | Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2020,33,6: | 3
Structured laser beams: toward 2-μm femtosecond laser vortices显示文摘Structured ultrashort-pulse laser beams, and in particular eigenmodes of the paraxial Helmholtz equation, are currently extensively studied for novel potential applications in various fields, e.g., laser plasma acceleration, attosecond science, and fine micromachining. To extend these prospects further, in the present work we push forward the advancement of such femtosecond structured laser sources into the 2-μm spectral region. Ultrashortpulse Hermite– and Laguerre–Gaussian laser modes both with a pulse duration around 100 fs are successfully produced from a compact solid-state laser in combination with a simple single-cylindrical-lens converter. The negligible beam astigmatism, the broad optical spectra, and the almost chirp-free pulses emphasize the high reliability of this laser source. This work, as a proof of principle study, paves the way toward few-cycle pulse generation of optical vortices at 2 μm. The presented light source can enable new research in the fields of interaction with organic materials, next generation optical detection, and optical vortex infrared supercontinuum. | Yongguang Zhao Li Wang Weidong Chen Pavel Loiko Xavier Mateos Xiaodong Xu Ying Liu Deyuan Shen Zhengping Wang Xinguang Xu Uwe Griebner Valentin Petrov | 2021 | Photonics Research2021,9,3: | 3
