| 1 | Comparative Analysis of JmjC Domain-containing Proteins Reveals the Potential Histone Demethylases in Arabidopsis and Rice显示文摘Histone methylation homeostasis is achieved by controlling the balance between methylation and demethylation to maintain chromatin function and developmental regulation. In animals, a conserved Jumonji C (JmjC) domain was found in a large group of histone demethylases. However, it is still unclear whether plants also contain the JmjC domaincontaining active histone demethylases. Here we performed genome-wide screen and phylogenetic analysis of JmjC domain-containing proteins in the dicot plant, Arabidopsis, and monocot plant rice, and found 21 and 20 JmjC domaincontaining, respectively. We also examined the expression of JmjC domain-containing proteins and compared them to human JmjC counterparts for potential enzymatic activity. The spatial expression patterns of the Arabidopsis JmjC domaincontaining genes revealed that they are all actively transcribed genes. | 3 | Petrogenesis and tectonic implications of Late-Triassic high εNd(t)-εHf(t) granites in the Ailaoshan tectonic zone(SW China)显示文摘High εNd(t)-εHf(t) granites are robust evidence for crustal growth. In this paper we report results of petrologic, geochronological and geochemical investigations on the Huashiban granites from the Ailaoshan tectonic zone in western Yunnan(SW China). Zircon grains separated from the two samples(10HH-119 A and 10HH-120A) yield the weighted mean 206Pb/238 U ages of 229.9 ± 2.0 Ma and 229.3 ± 2.3 Ma, respectively, interpreted as the crystallization ages of the granites. Based on our results, in combination with the existing U-Pb geochronological data for the Ailaoshan metamorphic rocks, we propose that the Ailaoshan Group might be a rock complex composed of the Mesoproterozoic, Neoproterozoic, Hercynian, Indosinian and Himalayan components, rather than a part of the crystalline basement of the Yangtze block. The zircon grains show highly depleted Lu-Hf isotope compositions, with positive εHf(t) values ranging from 8.4 to 13.1. The Huashiban granites have high SiO2(72.66 wt%–73.70 wt%), low Mg#(0.28–0.34) with A/CNK=1.01–1.05, and can be classified as peralumious high-K calc-alkaline I-type granites. A synthesis of these data indicates that the Ailaoshan tectonic zone had evolved into a post-collisional setting by the Late-Triassic(229 Ma). | 5 | Study of the tolerance of Hippochaete ramosissimum to Cu stress显示文摘We investigated the tolerance of Hippochaete ramosissimum and the changes in physiological metabolism following exposure to copper using pot experiments and analyzing plant physiology and biochemistry. The results showed that Cu tolerance in Hippochaete ramosissimum varied significantly between different populations; the tolerance of plants living in Cu polluted areas for extended periods of time exceeded that of plants living in unpolluted areas.SOD and POD activities in highly Cu tolerant plants increased noticeably following exposure to Cu. This indicates that maintaining and increasing the two kinds of protective enzyme activities are the primary foundations of plant tolerance. However, no change in CAT activity was demonstrated following Cu exposure. | 6 | Numerical study on convective heat transfer of supercritical CO_(2) in vertically upward and downward tubes显示文摘The experimental measurement of supercritical pressure carbon dioxide(sCO_(2))heat transfer in vertical downward flow was performed in a circular tube with inner diameter of 10 mm.Then,a three-dimensional numerical investigation of sCO_(2)heat transfer in upward and downward flows was performed in a vertical heated circular tube.The influence of heat flux,mass flux,and operating pressure on heat transfer under different flow directions were discussed.According to the'pseudo-phase transition'viewpoint to supercritical fluids,the analogy to the subcritical inverted-annular film boiling model,the physical model to sCO_(2)heat transfer was established,where fluid region at the cross-section of circular tube was divided into gas-like region covering heated wall and core liquid-like phase region.Then,the thermal resistance mechanism which comprehensively reflected the effect of multiple factors including the thickness of the gas-like film or liquid-like region,fluid properties and turbulence on heat diffusion was proposed.Surprisingly,thermal resistance variation in upward flow is well identical with that of wall temperature and heat transfer deterioration is predicted successfully.In addition,compared with thermal resistance in the core liquid-like region,gas-like film formation is determined to be the primary factor affecting heat transfer behavior.Results also show that total thermal resistance in upward flow is always larger than that in downward flow.The investigation can provide valuable guide to design and optimize sCO_(2)heaters. | YAN ChenShuai XU JinLiang ZHU BingGuo HE XiaoTian LIU GuangLin | 2021 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,5: | 6 |
| 7 | Characterization of particle size distribution of mainstream cigarette smoke generated by smoking machine with an electrical low pressure impactor显示文摘Cigarette smoking is a particle-related exposure. Studying the characteristics of the particle size distribution of cigarette smoke can aid in providing knowledge of smoke aerosol attributes. We used an electrical low pressure impactor(ELPI) to measure the particle size distribution of mainstream cigarette smoke generated by a smoking machine and provided a continuum of particle sizes of cigarette smoke from a whole cigarette. The results showed that the aerodynamic diameters(D, geometric mean of a channel) of particles ranged from 0.021 to 1.956 μm, and the number concentrations were on the order of 105–109cm-3for different sizes of particles. The particle number of the size category below 0.1 μm approximated that of the category 0.1–2.0 μm, and the particles in the size category of 0.1–2.0 μm contributed extremely heavily to total particulate mass. | 8 | Model experiment on anti-deformation performance of a self-supporting transmission tower in a subsidence area显示文摘A large number of high-voltage power transmission towers have recently been constructed in mining areas prone to subsidence. In order to ensure the safety of the transmission towers and the safe operation of transmission systems, it is imperative to carry out research on the anti-deformation performance of transmission towers. In our study, we performed experiments on the anti-deformation performance of a transmission tower in a subsidence area on a scale model with a geometric scale ratio of 1:5 and analyzed the failure mechanism of the tower members. The results show that, when the axial distance between two supports changes, destabilization failure most likely occurs in the members of the bottom transverse layer because some parts of the main diagonal member bars yield under the action of compression. We consider two content-centric hierarchical routing strategies, namely, the homogeneous hierarchical routing strategy where each content is requested and cached with equal probability, and the heterogenous hierarchical routing strategy where each content is cached with different probabilities and the requested contents follow a Zipf content popularity distribution. | 13 | Validation results of NmF2 and hmF2 derived from ionospheric density profiles of GNOS on FY-3C satellite显示文摘The first Global Navigation Satellite System Occultation Sounder(GNOS) which is compatible of both Bei Dou System(BDS)and Global Positioning System(GPS) was successfully launched into orbit onboard the Feng Yun 3 C satellite(FY-3 C) on September 23, 2013, and it has already gathered a large amount of ionosphere radio occultation(RO) data so far. However, the detailed analysis and validation of GPS ionosphere RO data have not been done up to now. Therefore, this paper discusses the configuration of the FY-3 C GNOS, the methods and results of GPS ionosphere occultation processment, the quality analysis of the GPS ionosphere RO products, and the precision consistency between the GNOS GPS ionosphere RO product and ionosonde data. The peak electron density(Nm F2) correlation coefficient is 0.97, the corresponding standard deviation is 16.08%. The peak value altitude(hm F2) correlation coefficient is 0.89, and the corresponding standard deviation is 23.79 km. | 18 | Dual-strategy modification on P2-Na_(0.67)Ni_(0.33)Mn_(0.67)O_(2)realizes stable high-voltage cathode and high energy density full cell for sodium-ion batteries显示文摘P2-type Na_(0.67)Ni_(0.33)Mn_(0.67)O_(2)is considered as a potential cathode material for sodium-ion batteries due to the merits of high voltage,low cost,and air stability.However,the unsatisfied cycling stability and rate performance caused by the destructive phase transition and side reactions hinder its practical application.Herein,we present a feasible dual strategy of Mg^(2+)doping integrated with ZrO_(2)surface modification for P2-Na_(0.67)Ni_(0.33)Mn_(0.67)O_(2),which can well address the issues of phase transition and side reactions benefitting from the enhanced structural and interfacial stabilities.Specifically,it exhibits a decent cycling stability with a capacity retention of 81.5%at 1 C and promising rate performance with a discharge capacity of 76.6 mA h g^(−1)at 5 C.The in situ X-ray diffraction measurement confirms that the damaged P2-O2 phase transition is suppressed with better reversibility in high-voltage region,whereas the side reactions are inhibited due to the protective ZrO_(2)surfacemodification.Commendably,the full cell achieves an outstanding operating voltage of 3.57 V and a fabulous energy density of 238.91 W h kg^(−1)at 36.73 W kg^(−1),demonstrating great practicability.This work is expected to provide a new insight for designing stable high-voltage cathode materials and high energy density full cells for sodium ion batteries. | Guanglin Wan Bo Peng Liping Zhao Feng Wang Lai Yu Rong Liu Genqiang Zhang | 2023 | SusMat2023,3,1: | 1 |
