| 1 | Clinical analysis of intracranial germinoma's craniospinal irradiation using helical tomotherapy显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the short-term clinical outcomes of intracranial germinoma patients treated with craniospinal irradiation(CSI) using helical tomotherapy(HT) system in our center. Methods: Twenty-three patients who were treated with CSI in our center from January 2008 to July 2012 were collected, with an average age of 20. All of the patients' CSI used the HT system. The total doses were 27-36 Gy/15-20 F(1.5-2 Gy per fraction), and total local doses were 46-60 Gy/30-50 F(5 fractions per week). All female patients for CSI were treated with left-right parallel-opposed field irradiation to protect their ovarian functions. Median follow-up time was 30.9 months(range, 5-67 months). The SPSS19.0 software was used, and the overall survival(OS) was calculated using the Kaplan-Meier method.Results: Among 17 patients with assessable tumors, 9 cases(52.9%) were CR, 7 cases(41.2%) were PR, and 1 case(5.9%) was SD. Hematological toxicity was the severest side-effect occurred in the procedure of CSI. The level 1-4 acute leukopenia were 8.7%, 30.4%, 34.8% and 21.7% and the level 1-4 acute thrombopenia were 8.7%, 30.4%, 21.7% and 8.7%, respectively.Conclusions: For primary intracranial germinomas, HT can be used to implement CSI for simplifying radiotherapy procedures, improving radiotherapy accuracy, enhancing protection of peripheral organs at risk(ORA) and guaranteeing therapeutic effects. | 2 | High efficiency generation of tunable ellipse perfect vector beams显示文摘We present a highly efficient method of generating and shaping ellipse perfect vector beams (EPVBs) with a prescribed ellipse intensity profile and continuously variant linear polarization state. The scheme is based on the coaxial superposition of two orthogonally polarized ellipse laser beams of controllable phase vortex serving as the base vector components. The phase-only computer-generated hologram is specifically designed by means of a modified iteration algorithm involving a complex amplitude constraint, which is able to generate an EPVB with high diffraction efficiency in the vector optical field generator. We experimentally demonstrate that the efficiency of generating the EPVB has a notable improvement from 1.83% in the conventional complex amplitude modulation based technique to 11.1% in our method. | 5 | Comparison of the Effects of Pesticide Application on Biston suppressaria Larvae in Different Damage Stages显示文摘[Objective] The paper was to determine the optimal control period of Biston suppressaria, the most serious defoliator in eucalyptus forests in southern Fujian Province. [Method] By spraying 2% abamectin + Bacilus thuringiensis powder in the forest, the first generation larvae of B. suppressaria was controlled in the early damage stage(May 2), middle damage stage(May 13) and late damage stage(May 30), respectively.[Result] When 500 g of pesticide was sprayed per 667 m^(2) in the early damage stage of the first generation larvae, the population reduction rate was97.5 % at 5 d post spraying. When 500 g of pesticide was sprayed per 667 m^(2) in the middle damage stage, the population reduction rate was 95.3% at 5 d post spraying. When 1 000 g of pesticide was sprayed per 667 m^(2) in the late damage stage, the population reduction rate was 83.9%, conspicuously lower than those in the early and middle damage stage. | 6 | Correlation between Inclusion Contents in Casuarina spp. Twigs and Its Resistance to Lymantria xylina显示文摘[Objective] The paper was to explore the correlation between inclusion contents in Casuarina spp. twigs and its resistance to Lymantria xylina.[Method]Three types of representative Casuarina spp. strains including resistant strains(Zhanjiang 3,Hui 76,Hui 83,Guangdong A8-2),moderate resistant strains(Pingtan 2,Hui 1,Long 7-18) and susceptible strains(Dongshan 2,Guangdong 501,Kangfeng) were used as materials to determine the contents of six kinds of inclusions,total phenol,tannin,flavonoids,protein,soluble sugar and polysaccharide. [Result]The resistant strains had higher flavonoids,tannin and total phenol contents and lower soluble sugar and protein contents than the susceptible strains,while the content of polysaccharide acted randomly. The grey correlativity analysis showed that resistance degree,pupation rate and pupal weight had high correlation with protein and soluble sugar contents,with correlation index equal to or above 0.5000.
