1Multiple Time Scale Analysis of River Runoff Using Wavelet Transform for Dagujia River Basin, Yantai, China显示文摘Based on monthly river runoff and meteorological data, a method of Morlet wavelet transform was used to analyze the multiple time scale characteristics of river runoff in the Dagujia River Basin, Yantai City, Shandong Prov- ince. The results showed that the total annual river runoff in the Dagujia River Basin decreased significantly from 1966 to 2004, and the rate of decrease was 48×106m3/10yr, which was higher than the mean value of most rivers in China. Multiple time scale characteristics existed, which accounted for different aspects of the changes in annual river runoff, and the major periods of the runoff time series were identified as about 28 years, 14 years and 4 years with decreasing levels of fluctuation. The river runoff evolution process was controlled by changes in precipitation to a certain extent, but it was also greatly influenced by human activities. Also, for different time periods and scales, the impacts of cli- mate changes and human activities on annual river runoff evolution occurred at the same time. 2Reaction between Ti and boron nitride based investment shell molds used for casting titanium alloys显示文摘The aim of this paper was to study the reaction between a Ti-6Al-4V alloy and boron nitride based investment shell molds used for invest- ment casting titanium. In BN based investment shell molds, the face coatings are made of pretreated hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) with a few yttria (Y2O3) and colloidal yttria as binder. The Ti-6Al-4V alloy was melted in a controlled atmosphere induction furnace with a segment water-cooled copper crucible. The cross-section of reaction interface between Ti alloys and shell mold was investigated by electron probe micro-analyzer (EPMA) and microhardness tester. The results show that the reaction is not serious, the thickness of the reacting layer is about 30-50 μm, and the thickness of α-case is about 180-200 μm. 3In Silico Screening for Microsatellite Markers from Expressed Sequence Tags of Porphyra yezoensis (Bangiales, Rhodophyta)显示文摘The genomic resources of Porphyra yezoensis expressed sequence tags (ESTs) were utilized to identify simple sequence repeats (SSRs), or microsatellites. This method took the advantage of using ESTs and microsatellites either for the establishment of gene identities or for the acquisition of high polymorphism. The microsatellites can be used as gene markers when microsatellites are tagged to genes. Revealed by bioinformatics analysis, 1 162 out of 21 954 ESTs contained microsatellites and cluster analysis indi- cated that 984 of these ESTs fell into 112 contigs, while the other 178 ESTs were singletons. A total of 290 unique SSR-containing genes were identified. The AAC SSRs were the most populous type of microsatellites. 5Mineral resource analysis by parabolic fractals显示文摘Elemental concentration distributions in space have been analyzed using different approaches. These analyses are of great significance for the quantitative characterization of various kinds of distribution patterns. Fractal and multi-fractal methods have been extensively applied to this topic. Traditionally, approximately linear-fractal laws have been regarded as useful tools for characterizing the self-similarities of element concentrations. But, in nature, it is not always easy to find perfect linear fractal laws. In this paper the parabolic fractal model is used. First a two dimensional multiplicative multi-fractal cascade model is used to study the concentration patterns. The results show the parabolic fractal (PF) properties of the concentrations and the validity of non-linear fractal analysis. By dividing the studied area into four sub-areas it was possible to show that each part follows a non-linear parabolic fractal law and that the dispersion within each part varies. The ratio of the polynomial coefficients of the fitted parabolic curves can reflect, to some degree, the relative concentration and dispersal distribution patterns. This can provide new insight into the ore-forming potential in space. 6Hyperspectral Estimation of Corn Fraction of Photosynthetically Active Radiation显示文摘Fraction of absorbed photosynthetically active radiation (FPAR) is one of the important variables in many vegetation productivity and biomass estimation models. Therefore, it is significant to retrieve FPAR accurately for the improvement of model precision. On the basis of the field experiment, this article analyzed the correlations between corn canopy FPAR and spectral reflectance, and reflectance derivative. Discussion about the mechanism of FPAR estimation with different empirical models is based upon corn canopy reflectance, reflectance derivative, NDVI (normalized difference vegetation index) and RVI (ratio vegetation index). The reflectance of visible bands showed much better correlations with FPAR than near-infrared bands. The correlation between FPAR and reflectance derivative varied more frequently and greatly than that between FPAR and reflectance, and with preferable correlation only around 520, 570, 670, 805, 950, and 1 010 nm. Reflectance and reflectance derivative both had intimate correlation with FPAR at some typical single band, with the maximum R2 of 0.791 and 0.882, respectively. In a word, reflectance derivative and vegetation index were much effective in the estimation of corn FPAR than reflectance, and the stepwise regression of multibands with reflectance derivative showed the best regression with R2 of 0.944. Reflectance at 375 and 950 nm with absorption characteristics caused by water showed prodigious potential for FPAR precisely estimating model establishment. On the whole, vegetation index and reflectance derivative had good relationships with FPAR, and could be used for FAPR estimation. 7Identification of QTLs Conferring Agronomic and Quality Traits in Hexaploid Wheat显示文摘The availability of elite germplasm resources with high yield and quality potentials is very important for development of cultivars in wheat. Thus, seeking such resources has been the continuous effort of breeder community. In this study, genetic analysis of a novel resource, Triticum spelta line CSCR6, from Australia was made by use of a recombination inbred line (RIL) population of 82 individuals from the cross between CSCR6 and another Australian hexaploid wheat cultivar, Lang. Data of a multiple environmental test was employed to genetically dissect quantitative trait loci (QTL) for agronomic traits such as plant height (PH), spike length (SL), spikelet per spike (SPI), grain number per spike (GNS) and thousand grains weight (TGW) and for quality traits including grain protein content (GPC), gluten content (GC), grain hardness (GH), falling number (FN) and sedimentation value (SV). A 24 QTLs with additive effects were detected for all the investigated traits, and were located on chromosomes 1B, 1D, 2B, 3A, 3B, 3D, 4B, 5A, 5B, 7A, and 7B, respectively. Some QTLs located on 2B and 4B showed higher explanation of phenotypic variances and were not obviously interacted with environment. A QTL in the marker interval of wPT-5334-wPT-4918 (near the locus barc 0199) on 4B gave the highest contribution ratio of 30.76% on PH, while Qgpc-4B and Qgc-4B gave 13.07 and 14.70% contribution ratio on GPC and GC, respectively. Qph-2B, Qgns-2B, and Qgpc-2B showed 13.36, 10.00, and 10.79% contribution ratio on PH, GNS and GPC, respectively. Also, a QTL on 5A, Qsl- 5A, could explain 25.12% of phenotypic variance on SL. For most of agronomic and quality traits, CSCR6 alleles produced increase effects. The fact that a number of loci affecting the investigated traits were detected in T. spelta line CSCR6 revealed that it could offer a new opportunity for the manipulation of these traits in wheat breeding programs.MAJun 2012Journal of Integrative Agriculture2012,11,9:4
8A Retrospective Analysis of Intracranial Hemorrhage in Children with Hemophilia A显示文摘To investigate the incidence,risk factors,clinical manifestations and prognosis of intracranial hemorrhage (ICH)in children with hemophilia A in a center of China, we conducted a retrospective analysis of 126 children with hemophilia A at our hospital in recent 4 years.Thirty-six children with hemophilia A (including 19 severe cases,and 17 moderate cases complicated with joint diseases)received low dose factor Ⅷ (FⅧ) prophylaxis,and none of them had ICH.However,13 cases of hemophilia A not given prophylaxis were complicated with ICH (12 severe cases,and 1 moderate case)and demonstrated an incidence of 10.3%(13/126)in all patients,and 28.6%(12/42)in severe cases.Of the 13 cases,9 severe ICH cases had a definite history of head injury,accounting for 69.2%.Headache was common in children >3 years,but somnolence,irritability, gaze or convulsions in children <3 years.The most common findings of cranial CT scan included intracranial hematoma (9/13),and less commonly observed were subependymal hemorrhage and intraventricular hemorrhage.After administration of FⅧ,all patients survived.Hematoma of 6 cases was observed during CT reexamination after 1-3 months. 9The South Pacific Subtropical Mode Water in the Tasman Sea显示文摘From the synopical CTD sections in the WOCE PR11 repeated cruises, the South Pacific Subtropical Mode Water (SPSTMW) has been identified in the region of the Tasman Front Extension (TFE) around 29?S to the east of Australia. In the depth range of 150-250 m, the SPSTMW appears as a thermostad with vertical temperature gradient lower than 1.6℃(100 m)-1 and a tem- perature range of 16.5-19.5℃ and as a pycnostad with PV lower than 2×10-10 m-1 s-1 and a potential density range of 25.4-26.0 kg m-3. Like the subtropical mode waters in the North Atlantic and North Pacific, the formation of the SPSTMW is associated with the convective mixing during the austral wintertime as manifested from the time series of the Argo floats. And cold water entrains into the mixed layer with the deepening mixed layer from September to the middle of October. During the wintertime formation process, mesoscale eddies prevailing in the TFE region play an important role in the SPSTMW formation, and have a great effect on the SPSTMW distribution in the next year. The deeper (shallower) mixed layer in wintertime, consistent with the depressed (uplifted) permanent thermocline, is formed by the anticyclonic (cyclonic) eddies, and the substantial mode water thicker than 50 m is mainly found in the region of the anticyclonic eddies where the permanent thermocline is deeper than 450 m.HU Haibo LILT Qinyu LIN Xiaopei LIU Wei 2007Journal of Ocean University of China2007,6,2:2
